- WE GAVE AWAY A DINING TABLE! Even though we were sick halfway through, we had so much fun building this DIY dining table to give away. We have never done a black-stained dining table before, and I gotta say, it's pretty amazing!

Thank you so much for watching! Here are the Project Plans for this Dining Table! www.woodbrew.tv/store/p/diy-modern-farmhouse-dining-table-plans
This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.
MUY buena calidad, el texto imagenes. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO Un manuel muy completo y trabajado. Resulta muy práctico. Para principiantes y profesionales. Lo recomiendo
Myself being a bit of an old timer its nice to see a young couple doing what they love together. Best of luck to you, looking forward to you're next build.
Love watching you two work together! Now I would love this table with some bench seating been thinking about this basic idea for a while now, and now you basically finalized my plans for me. Thanks for sharing!
That’s what I love to see is your diy builds and really just seeing all y’all’s stuff very inspiring as I am a beginner wood worker.
Thank you Laura😊 We want to make a beginners course on woodworking. Possibly something in the future👍🏻
This is the exact table I'm looking for! Love it!
You guys are excellent brand ambassadors for Ariat! I'm happy that they are a longtime sponsor of Woodbrew. That table look amazing!
Thank you, Mark😊 Ariat is an incredible brand doing things well beyond just making boots. We are honored to be recognized by them.
If you want pre-stains to work to their fullest let them dry overnight or 6-8 hours if it's very hot and it's outside. Read this in "Understanding wood finishing - Bob Flexner" he say's half of the manufacturer's say wait a few hours others say wait 24hrs some switched to saying less time to sell more of the stuff... I've tried the 24hr method and mine came out flawless on sugar pine. Most people never heard of this even if they recommend his book.
Interesting, I need to look into Bob Flexner's work👍
Would love a table like that! Thank you for the video.
HI guys, the way you show how to make a table and save a lot of money on UA-cam. That is what we are looking for and now we get it therefore, my wife and I start making a table and we love it , thank you so much.
You two do amazing work.
I have a new found appreciation for pine! The finish was great. The stain color kinda reminds me of the color you’d get from the vinegar and steel wool stain mixture.
It looks even better in person too. The camera makes it appear darker than it is. You can still clearly see the grain in person. It actually looks a lot like Sho-Shu-Gi-Ban
A new Build in the new year. yay. I like the clean design. And sorry you had to push through sickness for this one. Cheers.
Thanks Michael! Alabama's 20 degree to 70 degree daily temp swings will get you for sure. Thankfully, it only lasted a few days and we felt much better😊
Really likeable couple and great project
Great job!! Hope you are both feeling better, I am just getting over this nasty upper respiratory stuff that is going around.
The worst! Thank you!
Love that you took the risk, came out so well!
Thanks y’all! 💙
I really enjoyed this Video. Thank you. 👍👍👍
Heck Yes! Happy to hear this😁
Excellent video! I learn a lot from you! Greetings from Rio Cuarto, Cordoba, Argentina! Have a great 2023!
Thank you! Argentina looks like such a beautiful place😊
@@Woodbrew Yes, it has many beautiful places to visit and a great food! We look forward to seeing you
Awesome table build!
Thanks so much!
I Love How You Too Work Together In The Shop 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
😊😊😊
Nice! Hope you both are feeling better! Thanks for the shop tour on the last video and this build! I would've not picked black stain before this, but you won me over! :)
We are, thank you!! 🖤🖤
@@Woodbrew Oh good!
the stain looks beautiful
Love it! Now for the chairs….
I almost forget, that U have a shop, too.... not only the yard 🙈😁👌
If you have small voids on your seams you can place some wood glue there (unhook dust collection) and then immediately sand over it. It'll fill with the saw dust from the sander and best of all it'll match perfectly.
Great tip! This works wonders👍
Hi Woodbrew and greeting from the One Handed Maker - Australia.
Great table project and love the video.
I have subscribed and will be checking out more of your content.

After you planes the wood, the wood and grain looked so good. As are you, I am not a fan of the black stain, but at least a stain allows the grain to show thorough better than paint.
We love the black stain!
Well done lad
Enjoyed the intro, nice to see how you started. Great video, with good info. Just a funny, he said to avoid boards with the center of the tree? I just saw a couple of the boards with the center of the tree. LOL
Thanks Scott! Yea I noticed that too LMAO😂
Looking good
Thanks 👍
using the fence as a cross cut stop is very dangerous and asking for a kickback, use a block so that it leaves a gap with the fence.
Really cool build, I like how it turned out. I'm an old guy, and you remind me of me and my wife who have and continue to many things together. Nothing like having your wife by your side.
Thank you!
Hey I'm a big fan love the ideas and the welcoming presentation . I'm happy to learn how your origin story became all of this !
I am too just entering into a similar hobby and I just got one question.
Is there any way that y'all can input on how to build a deflection shell for flying parts around the work station?
Thank you! We have some videos of “how we started our woodworking business” on the channel that have a lot of our story in them😊 LMAO at the deflection shield😅
love itttttt
I have one more question, sorry. Since this table is for an area that is under cover, you said the Lustre would be fine. What would you recommend for furniture exposes to the weather? I build park benches for the median in our neighborhood, and the Helmsman is not holding up very well. Would paint be the preferred finish? Or is there something else? Thank you.
Total Boat’s finish is more than rated for outdoor use, however the pine would not handle full elements well. It would likely cup and twist in the sun. Honestly the sun is worse than the rain.
Project Farm just tested blue jeans, and Ariat came in on the top two. Ariat and Duluth came in first.
I haven’t seen that one yet, but not surprised one bit. We are very proud to work with a company like them. High quality clothing designed and built for specific needs instead of just “another shirt” you own.
My concern is would I be able to get this through the door
Question..... why did you use a foam brush.... did you try wiping it on and off with a lint free towel/washcloth?
It seemed to use much less product this way.
@@Woodbrew just wondering, I usually wipe on and off when I am staining something. They say brush on, wait 2-3 minutes, and wipe off. Heck, in that time its almost dry and hard to wipe. You two keep doing, and I'll keep watching and admiring the work.
Table top is glue only? Any other type of fasteners?
We used our Domino, but can use biscuits or dowels as well!
😍😍
❤️
21:15 definitely turning into the next Spiderman
LMAO what a great timestamp🤣
RIP and a moment of silence for the bug on your neck
🤣
What Tools Will Someone need in order to Build this table ?
That promo bro...
I thought he said he mixed in teenager alcohol 😂
😂😂😂
All that hot clothing recommendations are lost on me here in the Middle East 🙂
Haha it’s cold here one day and hot the next, so we have to keep all the clothes out😅
@@Woodbrew our cold is nowhere near your cold. It rarely gets close to freezing.
Lost me at 17:49-18:19.
DUDE! Don’t say “Alexa” in a video. I mean, good music choice but still. 😄
pls---- stop the music it overrides your talent.
Unsubscribed.
Byeeeee 👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼
Same.
Once again another channel charging money for plans. Rip off.
Lol I wonder what else you think should be free in life
@@Woodbrew cont handle
My comment? I thought you were a simple professional woodworker willing to help others? Good luck bro.
@@slickspade what part of their reply suggests to you that they cont (assuming you meant can’t?) “handle your comment” ?? 😂
You’re showing yourself to be a dickhead with entitlement issues, and as such, their comment struck a nerve because you now know they won’t be bullied into feeling like they owe you anything. And guess what? GOOD FOR THEM!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Tell us Slick Spade, how do YOU earn a living? DO you earn a living?
It’s obvious from your bad attitude that you’re not an entrepreneur and have never ran your own business. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with that per se, but maybe if you had, you’d have some appreciation for those who have carved out a way and a space to work for themselves. Nobody earns a living by giving things away for free.
I personally find it refreshing to see a relatively young couple out here running their own business and making a living by doing something they enjoy…together! It can be hard working with your spouse, and starting your own business is never easy, ESPECIALLY for creatives. I applaud this couple for figuring out a way to do both! If you don’t want to pay for plans- that’s your prerogative. Just as it’s THEIR prerogative to charge for them. Nobody is forcing you to build this table…right? To be honest (and I promise I mean NO insult to the hosts because their example table turned out gorgeous) this table build is really not that complicated- it’s actually quite simple. If you’re not capable of watching the video, making note of the lumber they used, using basic math to formulate some dimensions and then using that info to create a cut list, build sheet and supply list…..then this build is beyond your skill set anyways 🤷🏻♀️
So good luck bro.
@@slickspade @Woodbrew do you have any idea how long plans take to make? $10 is a small price to pay if you don't have the time or skills to do it yourself. Heck you could probably make this without plans by just watching the video.
@@slickspade holy shit dude, did you even go to their website??? They have probably the most comprehensive supply list I’ve ever seen provided for a build by a YT channel. All that…FREE. Including links for some of the specific items they used, as well as the lumber dimensions for this particular build. By the way- build plans are $10. Ten. Bucks. And that comes with an even more comprehensive video, a 30 page pdf document, links for EVERYTHING, plus support if needed. If I had known all that before replying to you- I’d have roasted you harder. Yeah- I’m probably going to go ahead and just buy the plans if for no other reason than to have some of the info in a consolidated space, instead of trying to find the wood scraps I wrote my notes on 😂😂
Tell us slick, are you against paying for the plans because you don’t have the $10 or because you don’t think they should be compensated for the time and energy they put into developing their extensive build plans and providing thorough resource lists?
