Great video. I’ve had the black star studio 10 606 for a while now. I upgraded the speaker to a warehouse ET 65. I gotta be honest and tell you I love this amp. It is a great sounding amp. I use it as my bedroom app. I can compare this to my victory super Duchess, fender super Reverb, fender, tweed super, and fender deluxe reverb. It hangs with all of them.
Great demo Pete! So wierd, I just got a new Blackstar amp last week! I like Blackstar because thet have that ISF feature that changes the eq from a Fender to a Marshall type sound, plus in most of their amps there is on board delay instead of reverb, which is different than the norm! Thanks Pete!
There is also a Blackstar TV 10B with a El34 instead of having a 6l6 powertube ,be nice to hear a comparison ,both have effects loop which is really nice to have and also speaker outs ,im interested but now want to here the TVB
Would this platform cut it at a Henley gig, assuming you guys are fairly low on the stage volume... is the tone platform all there for a gig like that? Cheers Pete!
Actually, probably yes. Certainly with two. Can't play very loud on that gig! With the right pedals, you could probably cover a heck of a lot of that material with this little amp
That would equate to the amp costing $900.00 USD The Blackstar TV10A sells for $649.99 USD It's actually $64.999 per watt... Only a difference of $250.01
I had my studio 10 over 2 years not an issue to be found. I know people that have had them over 4 years and still no problems. And there are plenty of repair places their serviced in the United States and Canada by Korg USA. So they're repairable might not be your local repair man but they can be fixed if something goes wrong. I have seen schematics for various Blackstar amps pop up on line as well
@PeteThorn so Pete what do you think of it overall did you use any other Drive pedals in it besides the ones in the demo? I'm a humbucker fan would have loved to hear more of the Les Paul through it
I had their HT-5 for years and it was excellent. This sounds fantastic too, great demo Pete
That ht series was great
Ah.....I love this little tubby goodness of an Amp.
Brings back memories of my old HT5 but this sounds better. Great playing, Pete.

You have some great original compositions, Pete!
Thanks!
Great demo Pete! The amp sounds wonderful as does your playing!
Thank you kindly!
Nice job as always Pete;-)
Always a pleasure to watch your videos!! Greetings from Berlin!
Thank you very much!
Great tones !!
What a blast man....excellent!!
Thanks for the great review. A visible decibel meter would be great.

I LOVE my Studuo 10 KT88!!!
I started watching, i was like, thats pete, right? Looked ! Yup
P.T., U could Demo an Amp made out of Marshmallows, with Tubes constructed of Parchment, and it would sound stellar! Nice lil amp, great demo Sir
Thanks!
Blackstar have been making some KILLAH cool amps! Diggin' the tones out of this one for such a small combo! 🤘😎🎸🎵🎵
I wonder if someone has compared this amp with the Blackstar Studio 10 6L6. They look very similar.
I’d like to know too. I think the Studio 10 is the same as the Anniversary Edition, but I assume this is something different.
Bro seriously. I mostly come here for the intros. Boss as shit. Come on. M160 sounds amazing, what pre did you run it through??
API 312 pre! :)
Way to play, Pete!
helpful!
Grab a HT mk 3 club 40 for a g ...
350 more for a fire breather over 10 watts for 650

'TV' stands for "TubeValve". Yeap. Heard it straight from Blackstar CEO. True story.
This guy could plug into a fresh pile of dog crap and it would sound great.
the amp is cool , I dont understand the wig or is real hair? but why the color e no gray hair? how do you do that!?!? 🤣🤣🤣
This is absolutely my favorite kind of UA-cam comment. Male hair critique ranks number one!
@PeteThorn sorry I am italian
Goddamn that Lester sounds suweet
$90 a watt! :-)

No available schematic, non repairable throwaway junk.
That's pretty much it, unfortunately. I don't like to buy anything that's going to piss off my local amp repair guy when I bring it in.

Ok grumpy pants
