He's a cute little fellow with his floppy ears and peanut face! Just about every dog that was my pal had asymmetrical ears that added to their character. Dogwood, no bark, hahaha! If one was to turn a log just so, there could be a patch of bark for a nice spot in its coat. A dog's just got to have a bit of bark! Thank you for the fun, Andy, I enjoyed this little dog's creation and got some giggles as well. 😊 Take care 🙏🏻

Yes the rain has stopped but it's turned cold minus 2 tonight with a high of 4 degrees tomorrow...
I am very conscious about using the plastic eyes now.. so I will use wood whenever possible...
I'm so sorry to hear that you have been unwell... I have been lucky to dodge it so far
But I know a lot of people that have been very poorly with it as you have...
I wish you a speedy recovery and hope that you feel well enough to get out into the workshop soon..

You mentioned you could have used dogwood. Im currently carving a cane out of a dogwood limb, and the handle is being shaped like the head. A start is seen in my next-to-last video. 😎❤👍

I don't get any splitting with the wood... it seems to be pretty stable...
