As a professional cat groomer the “steam” is really gimmicky. Just get a decent rubber brush like the zoom groom or I prefer the equigroom over a furminator for shedding season I find it breaks less of the hair. If your cat hates baths you can do a waterless shampoo and a warm cloth.
Thx for the review. Thought about getting one of these myself but the ads always had ai voices and looked as if they had put the fur on the brushes themselves, so i wasnt sure.
Yes! I thought the same thing about my female cat. She has always had a phobia about being picked up. You have to let her come to YOU, but still won't let anyone pick her up. But she climbs up on the ottoman in front of me when I'm watching TV, and when I started brushing her with that mist, she was loving it. She normally wouldn't like it if she gets wet, but she liked being brushed with that mist so much, it occurred to me that maybe it brought back memories of her being licked by her mother 16 years ago :) Yes, she's 16, and not slowing down a bit. My male cat will be 23 next month! He's showing it, but not doing too badly :)
@ there is no such thing as cool steam. You are wetting the fur which is also ill advised unless you plan to dry your cat. As far as real steam, you should NEVER steam clean a cat. That is dangerous and will cause injury to your pet
Yes, it's not steam. Ultrasonic humidifiers/nebulizers use ultrasonic vibrations to create a fine mist by breaking water particles into droplets. These droplets are then dispersed into the air.
@@JustinHill-gw7vl😂 no sir your mental state is a gimmick if you cant comprehend and understand the difference between "Steam" and "ultrasonic water vapor" Just do a quick Google search and comparison
HOW TO TURN THIS ON (i bought this and i was charging it for like 2 hours and add water and ist still dont work (anglish its not my first leaungue so im sorry for any gramar mistakes))
I have seen people put essential oils to help with that. I personally have not tried it but heard it works. The cool mist differently helps as my cat Mylo goes outside a lot. Not sure how "clean" it gets him but it helps with grooming!
@@JoshandLaurenReviewsPlease do not use essential oils, lots of essential oils are toxic to cats, and even if you try to search one that isn't there is the risk of cross contamination with one that is toxic. Cats don't need cleaning unless they are unable to clean themselves, like if they have low mobility due to old age, or if they get something on their fur that they shouldn't lick (like engine oil). If that's the case a regular shower with lukewarm water is better, water + soap, then rinse.
Well it’s quite a scam. Just take a decent grooming brush and it will be much better. Use this silicone brush on your head and see what happens 🙂and you shouldn’t wet cat’s fur, they will get cold.
Directions: Before use, place it in the charger for 30 min, then add a little bit of water (room temp) & push the button. You should see steam coming out. Some said they got a cold mist only. The orange bristle plate pops off & on for washing. My cat loves it, it does not bother her at all.
It’s AMAZING! My cat loves it and doesn’t even realize that he’s being semi bathed 😂

I bought a bottle of liquid "dander reducer" and filled the brush with that.
thanks for the video. i was searching for a review and there was literally nothing. tbh they look all scamy on amazon, but i guess i have to try

Now I ask you: What you recommend for a Tonkinese?...since they don't have the inner coat, barely any brush can take hair.
I think the mist is nice. When you brush a cat the fur flies all over the place. But when slightly dampened then it helps prevent that.
waterless shampoo is toxic
@@SillyRamen It seems I get more hair on the brush when the mist is on for some reason. Maybe the moisture attracts the hair to the brush?

My cat acted like I was her mother licking her with my own tongue. You should have seen the looks she gave me. My frenemy and I love

Does this help with applying flea treatment?
Just get a furminator and you'll be terrified by the amount of hair that comes out. You can build a second cat out of it
😂👍
this is better
Furminator is not recommended since it known to shave the fur and make the skin irritated
i got this and a furminator deshedding tool, which i only use once every 15 days due to it being too aggressive
There is NO SUCH THING as cool steam. It is ultrasonic water vapor. It’s a gimmick. Just but a zoom groom
So? What's the difference in this case? The idea is just to moisten the fur, I'd think it is even better that it's cool.

If it's not 212 degrees F it's not "steam", it's a mist. I think? Right?
Steam is water at 100C, you can't have cold steam! so it must be working on some other principle... maybe it works like a vape?
like humidifier
