@@dalilal220 if you noticed she had to brush a little rough and she was not taking out any new hairs, as you can see she even took out some mats as well since this cats coat was neglected. She could've completely shaved this cat like most groomers would do, but the undercoat won't grow back the same or even at all, which creates hot spots in the coat or even patches of missing fur. This is how you brush any long haired animal with neglected fur, but now as you can tell the cat can easily be groomed now. Plus the cat did not protest or was even in pain from the brushing. The only time the cat protested is when the waterless shampoo was applied. I'm just saying, your pet can be gently brushed bc you actually take care of your pets fur.
Actually as she is brushing, she is professionally counter-pulling they opposite way so that the cat doesn’t actually get hurt when she is brushing. It’s sad to see all these negative comments about her being rough because she is actually doing exactly how and what she should be. I am also a professional cat groomer and it’s a tough and demanding job so don’t hate!

Honestly if this was hurting the cat at all he would be vocal/aggressive/trying to escape much more than he is. All those layers he probably barely even felt it.
If she was being too rough, the cat would let her know... TRUST ME. This cat is particularly gentle and calm. She is not hurting him. He would be screaming/yowling if she was. Stop being so sensitive people, he's not a butterfly.
This is literally me 😂 My cat hasn't been deshedded ever, he's 2 years old and came to us a month ago, I tried to see what he thinks about the FURminator brush and he loved it! I gotta brush him with it today bc I barely touched his undercoat, I bet he's gonna feel so good!

I have a de-shed tool like hers and my cats actually tolerate it over brushes. One of my cats has a heavy undercoat, even though she is a short hair. With black cats the dead fur turns gray. All I’ve seen in this video is under coat fluff. It’s amazingly soft if it’s not matted. The comb is a Greyhound comb. It’s specifically for grooming and removing tangles. Also, what someone else has said, the cat is not fussing at her or acting frightened. He’s been well groomed and is accustomed to it. I hope she makes more cat grooming videos! This video encourages me to consider a groomer, rather than doing it myself all the time. Her confidence helps the animals she cares for. Plus, look at that gorgeous boy!

I just had to say goodbye to my furbaby, my cat had cancer and couldn't go much longer. For some reason I got this video recommended to me.. made me smile because Mr. Pie looks exactly like my cat.. its surreal.
This reason is why I raise my cats to enjoy brushing. My long hair demanded to be brushed everyday so he never had to deal with this big amount of hair ( and it cut down on his hair balls). Must have been feeling much better once the extra hair was gone!
This came up in my feed after a couple years; I had gotten 2 cats shortly after the pandemic started. One of them was Midnight, who looked just like Pie. I also got the deshedding tool and I would try to use it weekly. He was old and fussy but learned to tolerate and sometimes even enjoy it. Except in winter I would usually take him outside so the loose fur would fly away, or I could empty it into the trash can. I wish I’d paid more attention to the shaving back then; you need a really good powerful clipper. I did find clipping the hair in his paws would help keep wet litter from clumping on his paws. Midnight passed away a few months ago at age 16. Watching this again reminds me how much I miss taking care of him.

This cat is living his best life. Thankfully my cat ADORES being brushed to the point where he perks up and meows in excitement whenever I open the drawer where it is stored - and is disappointed when I get anything else out.
I am so glad I came across your video. I have two Snow-shoe brothers I rescued. I do brush them as their hair coats my apartment, I didn't realize how much there actually was beneath the surface. I combed them very well and was so happy to see the amount of hair I got. I'll give them a light comb tomorrow and the following day do another good brush out. Thank you so much. Athos and D'Artagnon also send their thanks.
Beautiful cat. I’m glad I brush mine almost daily and he never had this kind of thick coat, just silky non matting medium length coat. Here’s a hint for those who tried everything to find the right grooming tool for combing/brushing. I tried everything to find the best thing. I found my cat resisted too much combing. Then I found a comb that was anti-static and he actually loved it. I could never feel any static shocks before this so I do t think it was him getting zapped. The weather or air moisture level made no difference either for that. Look for an anti static human barber comb - hair salon supply shops have them. It makes a big difference even if you only have a minor grooming tolerance issue. Cheers!
He knows what's going on and even seems to appreciate it. Her speed, skill, and confidence make all the difference. How nice that she didn't need to shave him.
I love this - we have 6 cats, 4 domestic short hair and 2 medium to long hair (all rescues - 2 adopted and 4 foster fails). Our kitty with the longest hair gets a regular (monthly) brush down with a furminator and we get a pile of fur about 1/4 the size that you had left every time - he loves spa day, we clip their claws at the same time. Our shorter hair kitties get a regular brush but don’t shed anywhere near as much. Our other long haired kitty HATES being brushed and will rip your arm off if you try. She keeps her coat looking beautiful with the help of a couple of her buddies but I have no idea how we will groom her as she gets older and needs more care.
