It’s sad to see Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos depart from the MCU, and it will be interesting to watch how Nick Fury navigates the unfolding dynamics with G’iah and Gravik. While Secret Invasion’s twists might feel a bit predictable and the series hasn’t been as riveting as expected, I hope the final episodes harness the slow-burning energy built up so far.

I truly think this series has been very strong. This might have been my favorite episode. As a fan of Ben Mendelsohn, I don't want Talos to be dead. But, if he really is, at least his death was worth it! lol
It’s such a shame people are sleeping on this show. It’s an absolute powerhouse in all corners. AMAZING cast, amazing score, thrilling story full of suspense!
“Did we get what we wanted from how this show will end, even so?” Guess we’ll see. Love the reaction guys, RIP Talos, I am not ready to be without you 😢
I am so happy I called G'iah acting strange when she was trying to get the code last week! I knew that she had to have gotten to the serum. I can't wait to see more Emilia. This episode made my heart hurt. First, Fury and Priscilla. Secondly, where is the real Rhodey? Lastly, TALOSSSS. 😭
I’m just trying not to think of G’iah learning that their convo this episode was the last one they’ll ever have 😢 although I’m hoping that’ll help encourage her to team up with Fury!
There is an interview with Ben Mendelsohn where he talks about how much he loves Doctor Doom as a villain and how badass he is, if Marvel wants him to play Doctor Doom and is killing Talos for it, I don't mind at all.
Mendelsohn is too old to play Dr Doom. Unless they are going to cast an older Reed, they will look for someone closer in age to whoever they cast as Reed
Why does he need to have the same age as Reed Richards? They are always changing things about the comics, and he could be played by a different actor before his transformation since he wears a mask and Ben doesn't seem to mind wearing one to play him.
who's we? Smart people knew she wasn't dead. If you even watched the trailers for this show you would know that she still had scenes we haven't seen yet.......
It seems that with the unfortunate events involving the death of Maria Hill, the disappearance of the real Rhodey, and the Avengers going their separate ways, along with the subsequent loss of Talos himself, there is a strong possibility that Nick Fury will feel compelled to summon the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in a forthcoming episode to confront the threat posed by Gravik.
Ritson will advocate for including Skrulls/aliens in the defence of the world/US and Ross will argue that mankind needs to keep its destiny in it's own hands and unveil the thunderbolts to showcase this.
I hate Marvel for making us fall in love with Talos, especially his relationship with Fury, then they just stab us in the heart, literally. On the same page, I love the story telling they are doing to make us fall in love with Talos to the point of his death (maybe?) hurting this much.
You guys are great at what you do! I appreciate how authentic you all are. We seem to be in this era of influencers trashing something for the sake of views (Marvel/Disney seems to be the target of choice) but you guys have always been straight up. If an show or movie is good, you call it as it is. Even when I don't agree with you all, your opinions are still grounded in logic. This episode was outstanding! Great acting! Fury and his wife were magnificent. Nice use of the easter eggs that were set up in previous episodes. And the action scenes had weight! Talos's scene in the end is so well done!
I would like to petition that the writers take over the rest of Phase 5 🫣 also I think G’iah’s last conversation with Talos will lead her to putting her trust in Fury, like that girl is going to feel so guilty she walked away from her dad…
I hope by the end of the series we get Gravik looking like a super Skrull, like the more he uses his powers the more it takes over - the mis-mash of powers (like in the comics they had the things arm but instead it'll be Groot) which will be such an impact since we've hardly seen his normal Skrull form.
I think Fury knows all about Skrull culture and it's very war like and kind of scares him. Maybe that's why Fury and Cpt Marvel couldn't find the Skrulls a home, they have a bad reputation. The Skrull council lost faith in Talos because he became too lovey-dovey, while Gravik is behaving like a true Skrull would.
I agree that the story needs runtime. I still love what they are doing so far but my hope is that this conflict isn't finished by the end of the show more a starting point into something bigger leading up to the avengers movies
Fury's wife asked him would he still love her in her true form, really makes you wonder, how much does physical looks play a role in relational connections in society, like your wife can have a great personality but of she looks like Piccolo would that change things, sweetie let's just be gym bros 🥺
It is pretty straightforward so no need to wonder. Physical looks play a huge role in most cases but not all cases. Some people are wired to care less about looks and for them other things reign supreme. Most people though, even the ones who try to act like it isn't important, see it as important. Everything that a person is contributes to the other's attraction in some way collectively.
@@shanebovell6733 what people also forget is that physical attraction is also influenced by other factors that have nothing to do with physical body. How many times a super traditionally hot man opened their mouth close to me and I couldn't look at them the same way after? might still understand rationally they're considered hot, without feeling attracted to them anymore. The opposite is also true, actions, intelect, personality can make people who don't look conventionally attractive at all, attractive to a person. It depends on chemistry and what you consider important.
I think Talos is dead. Gravik let one of the council (who was ready to die for her stance against him) go away. Assuming that Skrull is a she, I think she will likely be the next leader of the human friendly Skrulls because Talos's death leaves a vacuum ready to be filled by a strong leader. She currently needs a home, as does Scilla and G'iah.
The Rhodey reveal has me wondering what the fate of the real Rhodey ?was/is and if he's even still alive and if so, when exactly he was replaced. Especially with Armor Wars coming I have so many questions.
I was more emotional (😭) the entire time following Talos getting shot with Ben Mendelsohn's INCREDIBLE performance. Gut wrenching; and phenomenal make-up/cgi. And that entire battle, no doubt one of the top marvel scenes EVER. Maybe 2nd behind Endgame. A tight second
It’s gonna be interesting to see how “Rhodey” tries to talk his way out of the fact that he just sat there and watched as the motorcade was under attack. Dudes a high ranking military official and a known superhero…..
I love Talos but his plan to give the skrulls a home was just silly. I didn't blame G'iah for looking disgusted. I'll miss him if he's really dead tho. Loved the scenes with Fury and his wife so much. Glad it ended the way it did.
I feel like we could have gone with an extra episode or two before the first episode we got just so we could spend a bit more time with Talos and Maria Hill, maybe even some time with (Skrull) Everett Ross so their deaths and the Skrull reveal are a little more impactful. Also we'd better be able to understand how Fury's absence effected Talos.
I'm NOT sure if the still print the comic from the late 80's early 90's from Marvel Comics, but I LOVED ❤ the title _ Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. That title just sounds soooo AWESOME!
This show is one of my favorites! The suspense is so good. And the achting omfg everybody is on their top game. I did miss Olivia Coleman this ep haha. Cant wait for the final ep, and then being able the watch it all again in one day. Side note: that Actress playing Priscilla Fury is soo freaking good. Cant stop watching her, expressive face such an beautifull lady and amazing actress.
Don't forget - Gravik ran, but there was still a firefight between the Secret Service and some of Gravik's men. If Fury left the car to go back and get Talos, there is no guarantee that the president would still be in the car when he returned...or that the President wouldn't have been replaced by a Skrull (even without the mind machine, it's possible). Also, the President could've been killed during that time. Fury made the heartbreaking but correct choice.
Feels like everybody forgot they live in a world where they have been seeing aliens for a lil more than a decade . Made the scene “HES AN ALIEN AND HE’S TRYING TO GET TO RITSON” more dramatic then funny when you remember humans have gotten so use to seeing super heroes, wizards, witches, and Aliens
Anybody else feel like the “Nick” thing is a plot hole? Cap has called him Nick before. Hill called him Nick the first episode and he didn’t bag an eye but all of a suddenly he %100 knew rhodey was a skrull because rhodey called him Nick?
Am I the only one that doesn't like this show? Concept is goog but I found the last episode really goofy. Nick not even ducking in the line of fire, none of the soldiers shot him when they could clearly see he was a skrull right at the end. Sorry to say but its not good guys and this was the show I was most excited about 😢
This show has been ok I guess, some good stuff here and there but I actually liked the secret invasion storyline from the avengers animated series better than this, seeing as that was actually about superheroes being replaced by skrulls.
Just keeps better and better. Captain Marvel didn't do the Skrulls justice, not even a proper introduction. They were just there. This show is doing the introduction properly and they feel like a genuine threat.
you did a mistake other 4 face was the Skrulls you lied about the looks in the middle face you miss somethings is Michael Myers was in the middle face come true you are not making a scene of me okay.
I hope they reveal how long Rhodes and Ross have been skrulls at some point at least just to provide some extra detail to movies if it’s revealed they were skrulls at some point in past movies
This show continues to get better I think. I’m loving it. Great reactions too btw… upset I’m gonna miss Comic-Con but hope you guys have a great time 😅
Armor Wars plot theory: The US government at the end of Secret Invasion will discover Rhodey as a Skrull sold Iron Man technology to third parties (maybe even the Power Broker) and have completely lost confidence in him, firing him and whatnot. Therefore, AW will involve War Machine going around the globe cleaning up his Skrull-other mess, mirroring what Tony did in Iron Man (2008). We can have Titanium Man, Crimson Dynamo, Justin Hammer and even Obadiah Stane’s son in the whole story.
Good that Greg mentioned trivia that Charlayne Woodard (Priscilla) reunited with Jackson. Now they played husband & wife as before the two actors played mother & son in Glass, cause this series gives the vibe of M Night Shyamalan's East Trail 177 Trilogy (Unbreakable, Split, Glass).
I loved this episode a lot! I think that as a whole this episode was just so amazing. I am even more gripped and invested to the story and interested in the characters. I felt like everything about it was perfect. Again the writing was incredible, the acting was fantastic, the tone was amazing and dramatic, and the music for this episode just felt like it had a dramatic and emotional feel to it. I thought that the tone, writing and setting for this episode all came together really well to make this feel like such an impactful and engaging start to a story. And just like for the previous episodes, I feel like I just cannot say enough just how great all the performances were in this episode. Each actor was giving an incredible performance and I felt like they were all doing an amazing job. And the writing was just beyond amazing in this episode. Everything about the writing just felt perfect. It felt like every interaction scene or dialogue scene was fully fleshed out. They each had great dramatic moments and moments of tension and emotion. And it was all made even better through the actors incredible performances during these scenes. I honestly just loved getting to listen to the dialogue between the characters. Whether it was the scene between Nick Fury and Priscilla, the scene between Talos and G’iah, or between Fury and Rhodey, they were all just written in such a perfect, engaging and entertaining way that I look forward to seeing more of it from this show. Right off the bat we get to learn about G’iah’s true fate. And I think almost everyone saw it coming that she would’ve enhanced herself with the Extremis powers and that she wasn’t really dead. But I am glad that we actually got to see the moment of her powering herself up get to play out. It was really cool to see the scene that took place in 2012 with Fury and Priscilla which was showing the moments after the events of the first Avengers movie. And it was great to get to see more of their relationship back when it had started. This scene also made their next scene together feel even more emotional and impactful. Then in the church scene we finally get it confirmed that this Rhodey is a Skrull who is working for Gravik. And I really liked how subtle he was with his villainy. He acted and talked more threatening and evil, while still holding on to parts of Rhodey’s personality. And I’ve got to talk about the incredible and beautiful conversation between Nick Fury and Priscilla. This was the most well written and heart wrenching scene of their entire relationship. It really felt like both of them were hurt and very emotional during this moment. And I really liked getting to hear the story of where Priscilla got her skin from, it was both compelling and emotional. And then, for this scene to come to a conclusion with both Fury and Priscilla reciting the poem that they did in the flashback scene which is calling back to a time when their relationship was between was just so beautiful and perfectly written. And I loved how after both of them took the shot, it cut to multiple different shots of their home with the gunshot ringing throughout only for it to be revealed that they both purposefully missed one another. I thought that the action scenes between the Americans and the Skrulls during the ending of the episode were all amazing. Not just the action itself but the amazing camera work and the use of explosions and all the crashing vehicles all came together to make the scene feel so much more entertaining, quick, and believable. Also the blend between his human face and his Skrull face during the scene where Talos was struggling to keep his human form intact looked really cool and had a great blend of practical and visual effects. And I’ve got to talk about Gravik with Groot powers. This scene confirms that Gravik has powered himself up with at least two different abilities. And when in regards to the Groot powers, I hope that we get to see him and other Super Skrulls get to use them more during these next final two episodes. Also can we talk about how cool it looked when Fury shot Gravik in the face but used the Extremis powers to regenerate himself. Then we come to the final scene of the episode where we see the possible death of Talos. This was super surprising to me, I really wasn’t expecting Gravik to just straight up stab him. And he might actually be dead because I don’t see how there could be any other way that he could survive from that, other than it being revealed that the stab had only seriously wounded him. But even then I don’t think that he will be able to join back into this fight full force. I am very curious to see where this moment will lead into next week’s episode. I am loving everything about this show and I can’t wait to see where this show will go next. I am very interested to see how Nick Fury’s story and the story of all the other characters will evolve and turn out through the course of this show. I cannot wait for next week’s episode.
I can’t help but admit talos’s death was a little anticlimactic but maybe ep5 will change my opinion. That said though, what in the absolute FUCK was all those soldiers DOING!? Like I know they won’t help much by shooting super skrulled gravik but at least notice something that was quite literally happening BETWEEN them instead of fucking ignoring it!
same thoughts, like it was so weird lmao. and enemies were so close, that one bad guy was able to reposition to shoot talos. then Gravik was able to transform and go near them. it was such a weird sequence. haha.
@@sendxnoodles i hate these weird moments that will always happen in their shows and no one but me will call it out. Im going absolutely bonkers about these soldiers on twitter, it's not even funny💀
Now Fury's only bets are Ritson, Gi'ah and Sophia. Even if Gravik is defeated, how would they persuade the rest of the skrulls? Talos literally had no support from anyone (except for Gi'ah).

This was the shortest episode so far in this series, but goddamn it had the most action, I'm already satisfied! AND TALOS NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
emilia clarke should be playing someone like Sue ffs !!!!!!!!!

Wouldn't work for her.
I honestly like how this series just constantly has these things where you don't know what to believe. Keeps you on your toes
If American society can't see the depth of Talos' word, while talking to his daughter, we are truly lost. This ENTIRE show is AMAZING!
Agreed 👍

I truly think this series has been very strong. This might have been my favorite episode. As a fan of Ben Mendelsohn, I don't want Talos to be dead. But, if he really is, at least his death was worth it! lol
the fucked up part is it might not be who knows if the president still makes it out by the end of the show

It’s such a shame people are sleeping on this show. It’s an absolute powerhouse in all corners. AMAZING cast, amazing score, thrilling story full of suspense!
“Did we get what we wanted from how this show will end, even so?” Guess we’ll see. Love the reaction guys, RIP Talos, I am not ready to be without you 😢
Ben is such a great actor
We all thought G'iah was dead.. Now i don't believe Talos is dead! Love this show so damn much!
He's gone brother.
who's we? Smart people knew she wasn't dead. If you even watched the trailers for this show you would know that she still had scenes we haven't seen yet.......

Yep
This episode was 🔥🔥🔥
It seems that with the unfortunate events involving the death of Maria Hill, the disappearance of the real Rhodey, and the Avengers going their separate ways, along with the subsequent loss of Talos himself, there is a strong possibility that Nick Fury will feel compelled to summon the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in a forthcoming episode to confront the threat posed by Gravik.
I hope so!
The way fury looked after he saw gravik regenerate is what true fear is.
Loved that episode 👍
What if Terrence Howard was the real Rhodey this whole time and Don Cheadle has been a Skrull since Iron Man 2? 😳

Ehy main I am iron mayne main 😅😂😂
That ending had me hopping up and down shouting no, no, no!!! I’m so heartbroken 💔

RIP Talos 🙏
I will never forgive the producer’s for killing Talos :(
There is no way on earth he's dead.

I think Fury left Tallos so he could be a Martyr, and they could say he died saving the President. And use that as his bargaining chip. Rip Tallos
So do u think season 2 will be there,?
i think the groot arm is referencing (mr. fantastic), cull obsidian's hand (thing), extremis (human torch), idk what for invisible woman.
@@WDFilms25 frost beast
@@WDFilms25lmao nah
I think Fury knows all about Skrull culture and it's very war like and kind of scares him. Maybe that's why Fury and Cpt Marvel couldn't find the Skrulls a home, they have a bad reputation. The Skrull council lost faith in Talos because he became too lovey-dovey, while Gravik is behaving like a true Skrull would.
That is an excellent theory!
I'd smash Piccolo
Would you love me if I was a worm?
It depends on chemistry and what you consider important.
i swear episode 4s are always the best
Loki is a peak example of this

I think Talos is dead. Gravik let one of the council (who was ready to die for her stance against him) go away. Assuming that Skrull is a she, I think she will likely be the next leader of the human friendly Skrulls because Talos's death leaves a vacuum ready to be filled by a strong leader. She currently needs a home, as does Scilla and G'iah.
This episode was bananas 😮
Absolutely Shattered about Talos 😢
This episode was so good!!! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
This is my personal best series that the MCU released. This is really2x good.
The ending of the episode broke me.
Makes you wonder.. at what point does it become a big enough threat for the avengers to be involved
When Gravik has more kills than Gorr the literal God Butcher
Scenes of Fury and his wife gave me chills!
The scene with Priscilla and Fury at the table is one of the best scenes in the MCU. So much was said and unsaid. Hope they can reconcile.
I love Talos but his plan to give the skrulls a home was just silly. I didn't blame G'iah for looking disgusted. I'll miss him if he's really dead tho. Loved the scenes with Fury and his wife so much. Glad it ended the way it did.
The writing for this series has been exceptional! Every episode I am amazed just by the dialogue.
Ross isn’t dead
i doubt real ross is dead, he’s probably in wakanda in hiding
Ross isn't dead. He probably in wakanda
You can see in his eyes that isn’t just shaken from talos dying. He’s shaken from knowing there’s another threat he can’t defeat by himself.
I knew Cheadle was a Skrull since episode 1 because he didn't have the leg brace

I was trying skip the intro and saw Greg showing off his Crouch....it was new merch 😂
Mannn this whole show has been great ! This is the MCU I love and we need to keep this tone for everything going forward!
I legit cried 😭 when they said their poem again while looking eachother in the eye with their guns on the table and the uncertainty.
I refuse to believe that Talos is dead ;_;
His and Fury's scenes together so far were the high points of the show for me.
Man, the guys' collective expressions when Gravic stabbed Telos...GOD.😭😭😭
Is it possible the real Rhody is captured and a skrull is using his identity? This doesn't even feel like the same character from the movies.
Nick and Carol should help the Skrulls move to Thanos' old world Titan since it's unoccupied.
Great reactions too btw… upset I’m gonna miss Comic-Con but hope you guys have a great time 😅
I'm not sure we're all watching the same show... four episodes in and I feel nothing for these characters
I feel fury left talos body there so the Russian media can know about the existence of aliens amongst them .
John’s “I am Gravik” is about to be a New Rockstars T-Shirt😂
Armor Wars plot theory:
The US government at the end of Secret Invasion will discover Rhodey as a Skrull sold Iron Man technology to third parties (maybe even the Power Broker) and have completely lost confidence in him, firing him and whatnot. Therefore, AW will involve War Machine going around the globe cleaning up his Skrull-other mess, mirroring what Tony did in Iron Man (2008). We can have Titanium Man, Crimson Dynamo, Justin Hammer and even Obadiah Stane’s son in the whole story.
So noo season 2 for secret invasion?
@@vishwaa5158 I don’t think so, bc the skrull are bound to be public so the “secret” part of it would be kinda redundant
Idc what anyone says, I think this show is great so far. I also REALLLLLLY want to see Gravik get killed.
I’m pretty sure that was Soren posing as Rhodey. The skrull actor looks the same as the one in the last episode who was the recast for Soren
Cinematically this belongs on the big screen in the theater but I'll mind my business
They fooled me. Last week, everyone said Rhodey was a skrull but I thought it was a red herring. I was wrong.
I feel like G’iah is going to be able to bring Talos back in some way.
Now Fury's only bets are Ritson, Gi'ah and Sophia. Even if Gravik is defeated, how would they persuade the rest of the skrulls? Talos literally had no support from anyone (except for Gi'ah).
