Can you have a look at the sim slot and see if it has connections for two sim cards? I know the single sim models have 1 sim and 1 sd card, but these models come with dual sims as well, in different countries, and I want to see if it's just a case of switching out the sim card tray itself for a dual sim/sd card tray. It makes sense, because why would they develop two different mother boards for the same phone.
Hi the one I have is a dual sim version so it does have the pins for dual sim reader. Single one probably has the spot for the pins to be soldered onto the board but probably left blank. Won't be able to tell unless you pry off the sim reader shield to get a look inside but based off previous model motorola phones, I've seen the single sim versions have the spot in the sim tray area but just no pin set soldered to read a second sim etc.
Poking the sim card tool in the wrong hole. I poked into the mic noise reduction. I tested the mic and it's ok but I am worry about the waterproof. Have I damaged the water resistance?
@@amadzack666 It's extremely hard you need to keep applying heat on and off and being patient when prying off so there is a strong chance it can break. @@amadzack666 Yea its fairly difficult. You can attempt it and if it doesn't go well maybe then look into sending it in for repair, not sure lol. Or maybe you can use a tiny pin to poke holes in the earpiece mesh
If you mean your old stored fingerprint on the phone, I don't see why not but the finger print scanner itself would be replaced when you change your screen since they come glued to the new screens and they are not replaceable
I'm not too sure how well it works since I personally don't use a samsung device as my daily, but I'm sure its not as good at cooling as far as say the ROG phone we did a teardown on etc. But still the way the thermal pads were layed out and the vapor chamber, I would say it will have a pretty good cooling system compared to many other previous devices.
Thanks! The battery was disconnected when I was using the metal tool to pry the vapor chamber plus with a plastic tool would have not pried off. It was on there pretty well.
no, the main mic is on the main board next to the charger port. Its a gold colored square or rectangular piece. There is a secondary mic on the top of the board as well.
@@SoulForMany Make sure its not your headphone jack, sometimes when that gets damaged or a headphone head gets stuck inside the headphone jack, it thinks you have a headphone plugged in. Also if you put your phone on speaker phone, does the mic work then? Because on speaker phone the secondary mic becomes active. The mic on this phone would not be user replaceable since its soldered onto the board so you would need to find a professional repair center to be able to fix it for you if it is the mic
The rear cameras are 16-MP Ultra Wide, 12-MP wide-angle, 12-MP telephoto. As far as the model numbers go for the sensors, I am not sure. I would assume its a better sensor than the S9.
wow the logistics of making a device like and the history of how all those components evolved to get to this is beyond belief. If you cannot tell why these devices are valued the way they are then you really don't deserve one.
You can either search for the precut adhesive for the specific phone (back or front whichever you need) or if its not available you can purchase 300LSE adhesive or smartphone red tape adhesive to reattach the front or back. Keep in mind unless you use the original precut adhesive, you won't be able to ensure a water resistant seal.

My friends has broken his s10+. His screen is crack free luckily, works fine, but the frame in bent in the down left corner, the back is cracked up and the finger print is not working. He is debating whether he should repair it or upgrade to s20, what do u suggest?
Hmm that's a tough question. Depends on how much it will cost him to get all that repaired and if he would rather put that cost towards a newer phone. He can always sell the broken one and use the money towards a new one as well so all depends how much he is looking to spend and if its worth upgrading or if it would be cheaper just to repair it. If mine personally broke, and I really liked the newer one, then I would upgrade. But if the newer model didn't attract me a great deal, then I would probably just repair the current phone I was already happy with :)

@@PBKreviews Wireless charging is inherently slower and hotter due to additional EM and ressistivity losses. Although I remember around two months after buying this S8+ I also bought two Samsung wireless chargers rated for fast charging. Even today (approx year and a half later) they can pump the battery from 5% to 100% in about 40 minutes. The phone warms a bit, that's true, but no big deal. Look at the pic I uploaded here, that bracket circled in red, you just need to use a thin tool or small flat head screw driver to pull it up and off the frame. But first make sure to use the flat tool or flat head screw driver to lift up the gold colored flex cable for the power/lock button off the frame since its held on with adhesive. You dont want to tear or rip it if you pull up the bracket first and its still adhered onto the midframe of the phone. Once you got the bracket pulled up and out, you should be able to pull out the flex cable for the power/lock button and the button itself will come out toward the inside of the frame as well.

is the screen already broke before you open it?pls tell me because i plan to open mine to replace the earpeace dust grill.
No, if you plan to remove the screen, there is a strong chance it will break or get damaged
@@PBKreviews is there any tips i should know to avoid damaging it?
@@amadzack666 It's extremely hard you need to keep applying heat on and off and being patient when prying off so there is a strong chance it can break. Also too much heat would separate the digitizer from the screen in some parts. Ask samsung if they have any service options that is affordable for them to change it for you.
seriously that hard? my earpeace got blocked by uv glue,i did ask them but the cost about 75% of the display price which i can't afford right now,i used to do part time phone repairing before, but for some reason i'm not very confident doing it on this phone,i used to do hotgun+suctioncup+glue if it was crack so bad,i not familier with pry it open for screen disassembly like in this video and i dont think my way is going to work on flexible screen like this phone.
@@amadzack666 Yea its fairly difficult. You can attempt it and if it doesn't go well maybe then look into sending it in for repair, not sure lol. Or maybe you can use a tiny pin to poke holes in the earpiece mesh
Could I use my old added fingerprint scanner after replacing the LCD screen ?
If you mean your old stored fingerprint on the phone, I don't see why not but the finger print scanner itself would be replaced when you change your screen since they come glued to the new screens and they are not replaceable
Whats ur view on the cooling system, does it manage heat well under heavy usage? Say maybe compared to the s9+ perhaps
Watching this video on my my broken screen Samsung s10 plus. Getting ideas
👍
Great video, but sometimes you flex thoses flex cables too much, great work however, really appreciate you taking off the screen 😊
Thank you :)
Not to mention I think the when he bent n twisted the vapor tube.. its probably shot lol
Great video, only concern is using metallic tools inside instead of plastic for disassembly and bending that poor vapor chamber.
Thanks! The battery was disconnected when I was using the metal tool to pry the vapor chamber plus with a plastic tool would have not pried off. It was on there pretty well.
Does the loud speaker assembly also contain the microphone
no, the main mic is on the main board next to the charger port. Its a gold colored square or rectangular piece. There is a secondary mic on the top of the board as well.
@@PBKreviews my mic doesn't work and how would I replace it
@@SoulForMany Make sure its not your headphone jack, sometimes when that gets damaged or a headphone head gets stuck inside the headphone jack, it thinks you have a headphone plugged in. Also if you put your phone on speaker phone, does the mic work then? Because on speaker phone the secondary mic becomes active. The mic on this phone would not be user replaceable since its soldered onto the board so you would need to find a professional repair center to be able to fix it for you if it is the mic
@@PBKreviews Yeah headphone jack works fine and speaker phone works fine
so good video. can you test in the last?
What type exactly/ model number is the main camera sensor? Is it a upgrade from s9?
The rear cameras are 16-MP Ultra Wide, 12-MP wide-angle, 12-MP telephoto. As far as the model numbers go for the sensors, I am not sure. I would assume its a better sensor than the S9.
wow the logistics of making a device like and the history of how all those components evolved to get to this is beyond belief. If you cannot tell why these devices are valued the way they are then you really don't deserve one.
What do you use to glue back the back screen?
You can either search for the precut adhesive for the specific phone (back or front whichever you need) or if its not available you can purchase 300LSE adhesive or smartphone red tape adhesive to reattach the front or back. Keep in mind unless you use the original precut adhesive, you won't be able to ensure a water resistant seal.
How much for the battery, front and back camera and power button flex? I need to fix phone. Thank you
Can the glass back and ceramic back be swapped??? (Put the ceramic back on a S10+ that came with a glass back)
Ya I'm sure it can, its just a backplate so I don't see why it wouldn't work
@@PBKreviews I've called Samsung customer support, spoke with repair techs at Samsung experience stores and Samsung certified repair centers and NONE of them had a valid answer for me. No one has ever asked them this. Thanks for your reply
@@giuseppemannino2165 No problem, ya just because it might be made of a different material, its still adhered to the back just like the standard back, just different material. I wouldn't be surprised those ceramic backs pop up on ebay and elsewhere eventually :)
❤ thank you verry much
👍
DAmn, You're good. Can we also upgrade the main processor , cellular technology and camera module of the phone?
Hi, no that would require extensive hardware and software modification, would not be plug n play
@@PBKreviews agreed!. Can you do it? Or if you onow someone who can do it? I'm from India and samsung used to sell phones with their inferior exynos chips. I wanted to buy a galaxy S10 now for college. Thought of upgrading it later
PS. THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY 😊
@@AdityaBhoite1403 I don't have the expertise or tools to be able to do it.
Can we recover data from hdd of this phone? With motherboard dead and screen not working?
Good video good work
Thank you!
headphone jack is attached only by 1 screw ?
yes, but it's also held in place in the frame slot as well as the top plastic speaker assembly cover sitting over and covering it.
Wish I had the money to desemble and play around with these things, used to love messing with the old brick phones when I was younger, back in the day
yup its a pretty expensive hobby lol
This phone so complicated... But looking at the strong frame structure.. you know..this is experience innovation
Yea, but its not too hard to disassemble to replace say the battery or other small parts etc. compared to some other phones which are more complicated.
PBKreviews hi I have a galaxy s10 plus and every time I put force on the screen with my finger it sounds like the adhesive is coming unstuck just wondering if you have seen this happen and if it’s normal thanks for your help
Best video !
Detailed teardown. Post more teardown videos
Thanks 👍
Does anyone know how many cells in a samsung s10+ battery?? Help
@@PBKreviews Thanks for the reply.
i can't update any language input to samsung keyboard. It has only english. Help me !
What size are these screws? Philips but what size
either a 000 or 00 would work.
I accidentally inserted sim ejecting pin into upper wrong hole of galaxy s10. Will it damage something?however i did not notice any wrong.
no you should be fine, thats for the microphone.
@@PBKreviews thanks
Soldered USB port, really??
Yep, I would have thought it would have been on a replaceable flex cable to make it easily repairable since charger ports tend to break often.
More to charge for the repair ♥️👌
@@PBKreviews Probably to force people to use wireless charging. I can't remember when was the last time I used the USB for charging on my S8+
@@Urgleflogue Honestly, I personally have never used wireless charging for the fact that the phone just heats up and doesn't charge too fast. But the fact this phone has reverse wireless charging is a great thing. Always people ask hey do you have a charger for this phone or for that phone, this way you can charge with your phone without having a cable :)
This leaves me to use the USB only with my external batteries when I am caught outside with low juice in the phone, which happens
rarely.
Brill do you have a separate video on charge port change please ? Thanks
Hi, changing the charger port requires professional skill in soldering and I personally am not a pro at soldering.
@@PBKreviews ah ok I'm not dpomg it I'm.offvto store now can only wireless charge which didjt great as 0hone isnt old so should be under warranty usually 2 years thanks anyway tody job
is the vapor chamber cheap?
Damn, finally someone shows how to separate the screen, is it the same as the older version or its fully soldered on the screen
What do you mean by fully soldered on? soldered onto what? basically all you need to do is take the back cover off, then remove the plastic covers and disconnect the battery cable, and the screen cable then pry off the screen from the front of the midframe.
@@PBKreviews i mean, isnt the frame attached to the screen? (On the S9)
Iirc if you want to change the screen you have to buy a whole frame with the screen to change it
@@owo7094 Oh, no its not attached to the frame its just held on with adhesive
@@PBKreviews oh, didnt know, so its the same as S10, thanks
@@owo7094 yup, no problem :)
Hello pwrdbykyank, do you think i can damage anything or break somekind of water proof "seal" if i, for example, insert the sim card tool in the hole next to the correct one? I think it's the secondary mic and i inserted there :(. I was in a dark room and by mistake did that stupidity. Thank you. Excellent video by the way! Cheers.
Hi thanks. No I think you should be fine. Its happened many people have done that before but ya as long as it wasn't a large tool to increase the size of the hole for the mic a lot, you should be fine :)
@@PBKreviews It was a paper clip :)). I sensed some resistance, but normally that also happen on the right hole, so i didn't thought it was strange and keep going lol... Anyway, i'm more relaxed now. Thank you very much!

How to replace flexible volume ,,cause my phone stuck in safe mode when flexible volume down don't work
Does it work after you had re-assembled it?
yea, I had a few people ask, I didn't know people wanted to see it working or else I would have continued the video a bit, but was just trying to show how to take it apart and the finger print scanner etc.
Thanks for the assistance
you're welcome
Can you do the replacement of the earpiece please
Where can I purchase a replacement motherboard?
the s 10 is the same with s 10 +
?
My lock button is broken was wondering if you can do the a video that shows how I can fix it
Look at the pic I uploaded here, that bracket circled in red, you just need to use a thin tool or small flat head screw driver to pull it up and off the frame.
Dude, could you make a video about fixing galaxy s10/+ button that fell off? i see many people that have the same problem.
