Been waiting for this one. Great as always, thank you. I went from blueshield 5, to new balance 796, to mizuno wave enforce tour. Next I’ll be going back to Diadora with the Torneo 2. I loved the blueshield 5 and Torneo seems to just level everything up. They’re really the most comfy and durable for me. Cheers Zach!
Hey!! How’s the mizuno esforce tour comfort? I suffer so bad with my plantar fasciitis and I need to retire my yonex Lumio 3.. unfortunetly diadora torneo 2 are not being sold here in brazil.
Hey man! The mizunos are really comfortable underfoot. I have a normal arch I think and I can play in them for 3-4 hours. The only note I have about the wave enforce tour is the thin tongue and ankle collar that dug into my ankle in the beginning. I have very tender ankles. After break in though there hasn’t been much issue with the ankle collar. The blueshield Torneo 2 have a thick tongue and soft ankle collar, so I’m going to them for the more comfortable uppers. To my memory I had similar comfortability with the midsole. Hope this helps!
As a big, heavy guy, I love my Barricade as they keep my feet stable and prevent ankle injuries when landing, stopping or sliding but these look like a really good alternative. Unfortunately I can't find them here in SA so I'm going for a Gel Resolution 9 instead.
Most comfortable shoe ever. I've had three foot surgeries and these are amazing - even though I didn't use my CurrEx inserts. I've just ordered their 'Heritage' stone wash shoe, which looks AMAZING. 'EQUIPE H DIRTY STONE WASH EVO'
Not an expert, but anecdotally from someone who has tried almost every tennis shoe out there, this is absolutely the best for support, comfort, cushion, speed - a true all-arounder.
I'm still rocking my Gel Res 9s but I may switch to these after mine bottom out. I have a a slightly wide feet so with the solinco heaven socks my feet are too snug in the Asics, hopefully it can be solved when switching to the Blushield torneos!
I had some left hip/quad discomfort for the past 3 weeks. Aggravated it by running down a drop shot and have been resting it for the past week. I was wearing a very light shoe (Asics Solution Speed FF 3-clay) and have been for the past 5 months. Really love the shoe but it was wearing down a bit. I may have to get these Blueshield Torneo 2 or Gel Res 9 just to get some stability and use the Solution Speeds for matches only.
That's a super review. I bought this shoes and I fully agreed with your reccomandation. Few tennis pro are using Diadora, Struff and Fokina if I remember well, anyway great shoes even compare to other producers like nike or adidas
What's up Doc! I'm frustrated ripping the uppers of my tennis shoes with in a month. I'm a regular clay court player. Please suggest me a shoe with the best upper durability. I don't care how heavy they might be anymore.
Hi Doc, during the sizing section, you suggest going true to size for 2E. Should I still buy the wide version (2E) from Diadora or are you suggesting the standard Blushield Torneo 2 is wide enough for 2E already? Thanks for another great video!
Really interesting shoe that I think I'm going to try, you've convinced me ! Just don't know about the fit though. I love the snug fit on my Wilson Rush Pro 4.0, should I go down a size with these Diadoras or go true to size ? Thanks again for all of your videos !
Zach, I get confused by many of your videos and your best shoes recommendation videos when you say that the tread of this shoe does not matter if you are on hard court and clay. In your 2023 Best Shoe video, you listed the Nike Pro 2 Clay version as one of the best for Multiple Surfaces. I am assuming you are saying the same for the Blueshield as well. So can you please elaborate because as you said, clay shoes use a softer compound. Here is the problem I am trying to solve. My local courts are 95% Har Tru courts and 5% hard courts. Most of the time you do not have a choice which court is assigned to you and I would prefer having a versatile shoe for both but also comfortable for my knee issues. For that scenario I am using the Adidas Solematch Control which has worked out fine but I thinking of switching to a more maximalist shoe. As side note, I also have the Nike NXT Court Zoom for when I play at other courts which are all hard and those work well for me. Overall I am using your guide for this but I just want to make the best decision. Thanks, Raul from Brooklyn
As a Raptor Hyperpulse 100 (clay) owner in need of a new pair of shoes, I'm wondering any of these newer shoes are better than the Lottos in terms of pure performance Coco CG1, Mizuno Wave Enforce Tour, Blueshield Fly 4, Blueshield Torneo 2, Gel Resolution 9. Are they all much of a muchness.
Hi there! I have been reading product reviews of Diadoras and have found a handful of people saying to get a half size up. Any insight on this? I'm a standard 11 in just about everything I wear across all brands. Appreciate any help you could offer!
@FootDoctorZach was wondering if when you say "true to size" for 2e foot... im a brannock 9.5 2E. So should I order that? Or go by the rule at least 1/2 size up?
would you recommend this, the wave enforce tour, or the ff3? i wear the Nike air zoom vapor cage 4, and i need an all court shoe that doesn’t hurt the bottom of my foot
Hey Doc, first off thanks for this amazing video! I am definitely subscribing in your channel. I wonder how does Diadora Blueshield Torneo 2 size is compared to Adidas Barricade 2022. I am a huge fan of Adidas Barricade 2022 specially in the fit part, but I'm a wide feet person (duck feet) 2E and Adidas Barricade fits pretty well in my regular size (9,5 US). Do you recommend to buy Diadora Blueshield Torneo 2 in the same size?
@@FootDoctorZach doc, they def run smaller. I've reported on getting them somewhere at previous videos but now that the clay season is over, they do feel tight in the front. Still feel good but I'll prob wear them for casual walks if I manage to clear the clay off, and get something new or a size bigger, cause my toes hurt after a long session.
I’m very disappointed Dr Zach, I expected nothing less that 40/40 for Diadora shoes based on your history with that sneaker !!😂😂 Great review, I’m already sending this video to my buddy who is in love with Gel Res but starting to get some ball foot pain Thank you
Love the Diadora Torneo 2 and the B.Icon. Great shoes! I just happen to find all the same attributes in these two shoes in the MIZUNO WAVE ENFORCE TOUR with a better fit. The Enforce Tour has all the durability, cushioning, stability, and traction of the Torneo with a bit better mobility and fit - especially for the narrower foot. The way the Mizuno totally "vacuum seals" around your foot is totally unique. If you want a shoe like the Torneo that is better suited for regular width feet, you cannot go wrong with the Mizuno Wave Enforce Tour IMO.
Yeah to me the Torneo is a bit more stable side to side and bit more rugged- the Enforce is better at locking down, a bit more plush and comfy under foot
@@FootDoctorZach I would agree with that. With the Torneo I feel like my feet are inside a really stable shoe while with the the Enforce I don't even know that they are there.
VERY VERY SAD that tennis-point will no longer get new colorways of Diadora shoes (for men at least). No more after what you see on their site currently
Half size large? I almost never wear a size 11 shoe, yet I had to send back the 10.5 because it was too small! If these ran 1/2 size large, the 10.5 would either fit me or be too big.
I dunno what your talking about... Just wore my brand new Blueshield Torneo 2 shoes. THERE IS ZERO ARCH SUPPORT!!! A gap of about an inch. Back of shoe digs into flesh and weighs way way too much. This is a total waste of money and shameful of what the "INSERT DESIGN" Was back on borg days. . Shameful....
Grab a pair at Tennis Point: geni.us/FDZTP

Hey Zach loved the review and had me sold. I wonder is there any differences from the 1
I’d also like to know if there’s much difference between the 2 and 1 version.
Zach - why would someone choose the Lotto Raptor over these? I know your big on both. Would love you recommendation.

I havent tried the new 2E so I wouldnt know - my guess is they are sizing differently now to accomodate a 2E model
Im in europe. I dont think we do wide versions of shoes. Would be so happy to get one though. Always struggle with to narrow toe boxes.

Love me some Diadora. Trying to save up for the V7000 runner.
Nice
How flexible is the shoe? I have Accessory navicular syndrome and I need support but mainly a flexible shoe. Also pretty wide shoe+ high arch support

Hey Doc, how do you compare the B Icon and the Torneo? I’m leaning towards the former, not sure if you’ve done a head to head with those too
Hi
are these Diadora shoes good for heels pain?
Deciding between these and the court ff3, which one would be best for just brutal use in a 2 month span. I would get the gel res9 but it’s not for me.
What is BluShield made of? What type of rubber is it? Is it PU? eTPU?
how the size compare with nike vapor pro 1 ? i usually wear US9 size, what size correspond on this diadora to get the same fit feeling ?

Is there a list or ranking of the outsole durability test for the reviewed shoes ?
Are you going to try and look at the All Star BB Trilliant CX ?
At some point
Are these good for walking stability

I appreicate you, I have sizing sections for each but the barricade is quite a bit more narrow than the torneo 2 in just about every level of the shoe

Absolutely not, arch support is none existent

how are these for basketball? for outdoors
Good for shock absorption thats for sure- not a ton of pop but if you dont care about that or bring it yourself then very good
