Well I'm Italiani and know Diadora and Lotto pretty well. They create tennis sportwear for decade and are high quality product. I guess they cannot invest money in merchandiser and sponsorship, thie Is why are mostly unknown in foreign country. I should say by the way, that now a lot of review are available, mostly highly rated. I'm proud of italian brands as they Always look at design and technology. Hope the best to this glorious brand. With summer sales they cost to us 80-100€. A good time to buy a new pair. Still in doubt if buy a torneo 2 or fly 4.

Well said. We can actually see more and more players wearing Lotto and Diadora tennis gear, which is great and fresh.
I depends what do you want from a tennis shoe. If speed and agility, go for the Fly 4, if stability and durability, go for the Torneo 2. I really like the Torneo design as I user of the older generation BluShield 2, which is almost identical in the shape and structure. Love this shoe and I still use it after several years, awesome comfort, stability and durability.

@@CzechTennisGuy just buy the fly 4+. Feel more confortable than the torneo2. Usually I wear 44 44 1/2 EU, but at the end the perfect fit was with 45 for "just" 77€. Really appreciated your video review, very helpful for me.

I've wanted a pair of Diadora shoes since the 90s but nobody had them in the stores. I finally ordered a pair of the Blushield Fly 3s and they are a million miles better than any tennis shoe I've ever worn. You really can feel all of the little engineering things that have gone into to the shoe to make them comfortable, stable, and nimble.

I wanted to try the Blushield Fly's 3, too. They look light enough for my needs, yet stable and comfortable. Maybe I will buy them in the future. Do you have the Fly 3 version or the 3+ version? I'm not sure what is the difference but I noticed that there is this plus version, too.

@@CzechTennisGuy 3+. I have no idea what the difference is. I pretty small feet so I don't think it has anything to do with width.

Hi great video :) one important question: I used to use barricade and the old adizero feather but since the last 7-8 years all the shoes are really bad (all brands including adidas) so this is why I realise now that the only good shoe is diadora but apparently it’s heavy…is it worth the sacrifice? I just don’t see another option and the ubersonic new version are tighter than last year version…

Thank you. There are plenty of other companies doing really good shoes - Mizuno, Lotto, Wilson, Joma and of course, Diadora. If you are looking for new models and versions, check out my Diadora 2023 Tennis Shoes video: ua-cam.com/video/e57ePe1SN2o/v-deo.html There are plenty of other lighter models that are also very good for high performance tennis. Enjoy the manooovrlbity!

How do they compare with the Lotto Raptor?

Good question. They are pretty similar - both are big, heavy and massive. You definitely feel the padding and cushioning doing it's job. Both are super stable and super durable. Good news is, I ordered the Lotto Raptor so you can expect some detailed video in the near future.

@@CzechTennisGuy i bought the raptors after the blushields broke in less than 5 hours or so. I have wider feet so.
Super comfy the Lottos as well and very similar. Heel is snugger than Diadora which felt safer. However whatever they put in tge heel felt like cardboard. I forced my foot in once and the support just got squashed...
Also on the uppers the outer part, on violent side changes, I feel like the foot is going far out of the shoe. I don't feel safe and stable. I'm limiting myself not to roll the ankle. The material is too thin to keep the shoe locked in. They were not like this in the beginning but they have expanded.. Now two pairs of sock don't remedy the issue. Put your money elsewhere. I have had Asics, Adidas and Nike before. Never had such problems.
Maybe they were top notch years ago but now they are not. I hope ai was unlucky but that means they have QC issues so it's a lottery. M

@@erindi23 I'm also little bit worried about the Raptors in terms of the upper durability. It feels super soft and quite thin. The Blushields 2 had a very durable upper made of some synthetic layer that covers the mesh under it. That really made the shoe very secure and snug. No issues with the upper what so ever even after 2-3 years of random play on clay. Also they weight 30 g more with the extra padding and the heel support. The Raptors in size US11/UK10 weight about 430 g , which is also a heavy shoe, but you feel that something is missing compared to the Blushields. I'm also still worried about the sizing. The shoe feels bigger even I bought one full size smaller, still I feel like inside the shoe I have like extra 3-5 mm which makes my foot slide in the shoe and I don't like that feeling. Maybe your shoe was also a little bit bigger and that's why the upper broke so fast - when the shoe is not filled enough, your foot moves in the shoe and damages it from inside by constant rubbing and that force is applied to the upper. I think many players "destroy" their shoes just because of wrong sizing. Anyway I didn't test the Raptors on court yet, just walking in them in my apartment to shape them inside. The Ortholite insole is superb, it is made of two layers of foam with different density. You don't see that in the other shoes. So I hope at the end of the day my purchase will pay off. But I bought them for $52 in some crazy sale so not a big deal if they don't survive too long.
