After 50years of marriage ,I've learned a few things. #1, certain things are off limits. Some topics are triggers no matter how angry you are its too hurtful to throw at the other person. #2. The little quirks you thought were cute early on, now drive you nuts.#3. On the other hand, your partners annoying habits ( procrastination, underwear on floor.etc,), don't phase you anymore. Learn to pick your fights. Thats a few of the things you learn, its an on going adventure.

Communication in a marriage is so important whether a newlywed or married for 24 years. Most problems occur when talking isn’t happening. Thank you for your insight. I love your videos and FB.

Will be married 42 years this month. Communication is by far the most important part of marriage, really any relationship. That’s what we have always told our two adult children. Over time you guys, as a young couple, young parents have figured that part out, always keep that line of communication open and y’all will have a long, loving, lasting marriage🤗

I love this. I wish I would’ve had this much time with my husband to be able to figure out how to have helped our communication get better. With two jobs going on and him being gone to his place of employment and being on the road, it didn’t give us time to do that. I envy your daily lives of being together.

we forget to tell our spouse how thankful we are for them and we don’t take them for granted. So My husband and I always remind each other how thankful we are for each other. For example since being pregnant my husband will not let me cook so he’s been doing all of the cooking and the cleaning of the cat box and I’ll clean anything else around the house and I remind him that I’m very thankful for him.

You guys are the cutest family!! Definitely my favorite UA-cam family. Maybe I’ve been single way too long, but this seems like way too much work. Like, if I want to go play 18 holes, I don’t think I need to say a time when I’ll be home. I’ll be home when I’m done! LOL. Maybe I should stay single too with that mind set haha!! 💖

My (now) ex bf just ghosted me after 4.5 months last weekend. I ended up going to his house since he didn't respond to calls or texts and I had some stuff there (and to get some kind of idea of wth was going on). It turns out he was keeping a laundry list of things he was mad about and never discussed in any way with me. Going forward, I'll be implementing checkups with future relationships. I was so blind sided. Oh... And then the reasonable ETAs, it really hurts. We had a celebration of life on memorial day weekend for my grandpa and I had told him 2pm...he didn't leave at a reasonable time, then when he said he was, he didn't for another few hours, so my extended family all left. So by the time he got there (like 4 hours late) , it was only immediate family that already knew him. I guess I should've known something was up then because he didn't care enough for an important day to put in any effort. Life lessons fam.

My husband and I never did weekend getaways with "friends" w/o each other. We always either planned with other couples or with each other. This type of stuff wouldn't bode well with me. The only thing we may do is maybe go out for lunch or dinner with a friend or two (and that is maybe once a month). I may be considered old skool. My children are you guys ages. They just have no interest in marriage...So I don't know what they would do.

We do not have kids keeping us up all night Thank God. When hubby eats I play my computer or wear headphones because the way he chews makes me ill. I am surprised your marriage has lasted. I would never survive the monthly check ins with out being negative. Hubby and i do not do that. They would not last.
