My Uncle Arthur loved this song, he asked me to get him the single, late 70's ish I think. He was, to me then, just an old bloke, flat cap, very prim. I took the single round to his house, he put it on the turntable and cranked the volume up. He had an excellent hifi setup, Ditton 44 speakers, big Pioneer amp, Lenco TT etc. He sat & listened to it, big smile on his face, I realised there was a lot more to my Uncle Arthur, saw him in a new light.
Isn't that sound just wonderful, gives me goosebumps
Class !! 👍😊😊
That these beautiful jazz clubs evenning actually existed with these vintage dressing dancing music good times how nice
Nearing my eighth decade, every time I hear "Chanson D'Amour," decades of dust fall away, and here in my heart, more and more, I feel my childhood again, so much is lost...

Mr. Spooner's ticket out of Grace Brothers.
Una de mis canciones favoritas. Buena versión de la original cantada por la gran Edith Piaf
Jamais Piaf n'a chanté ça
Nunca fue cantada por Edith, fue una cancion de 1958, cantada por un duo y en los años 70 fue grabada por Manhattan Transfer
Piaf hat dieses Lied nie gesungen! 😭
💯
There was a joke about this song in several countries.
Somewhere in France in a front yard on a beautiful sunny day early in the morning an earthworm crawled out of the hole. In a good mood, he stretched, took a deep breath of fresh air and sang: "Chaaaaansooon d'amouuuur"..
Suddenly a lawn mower came towards him: "Ratatatata...
lol excellent
This song never fails to make me laugh. Hilarious 😂
it might be the year - 1978 - rather than the song, but i have to learn french first before i can verify that
@@Psycandy Apart from the title (which just means love song) and je t'adore (I adore you), I think you'll find the rest of the lyric is in English! [It's in the notes, but I know hardly anyone on UA-cam reads those!]
@@Psycandy I'm nearly eighty now, and the 1976 "cover" is just that, a "cover" of a 1950s era pop hit. I know, because, you see. I was there.
A SNAIL WAS WALKING ACROSS THE GRASS ONE BEAUTIFUL MORNING HE LOOKS UP TO THE SKY THE SUNS SHINNING BLUE SKYS AND HE THINKS LIFE IS WORTH LIVING SO HE STARTS TO SING CHANSON D' AMOUR AND THE LAWN MOWER GOES RATT TAT TAT TAT THAT WAS ONE OF KENNY EVERETTS SID SNOTT JOKES
Stupid irrelevant comment with cap locks on.

Everything was back then. Live is mostly always worse than a studio recording. If you want them live andrew walmsley’s video is. It is about the fourth or fifth in the search.
Przepiękne ,nieśmiertelne.
Fakt :)
