The horn fuse should be fuse number 24. It's a 20 amp fuse in the fuse block under the dash on the passenger side. Just pull up and out on the plastic fuse panel cover and pull out the horn fuse. Check your owner's manual. It has a complete diagram of the Escape's fuse block.
Thank you Vanessa for your video. I had the same problem about six years ago and it cost a small fortune at the Ford dealer to trace it down to the "door close switch" on the rear hatch (2006 Ford Escape). It started again last week. Going off in the middle of the night (not tampered with). In reading the comments of your video I found the easiest way was to only click the remote locking fob once to lock up the car. Clicking the fob twice actually sets the alarm. After almost 15 years of owning the car, clicking it twice had become a habit and never crossed my mind. I doubt I would have found this solution if not for your video. So again, thank you from a grateful old man! I might add that this only works if you're only using the driver door. The other doors you need to lock with a key, not convenient for a family. I'm single, so no problem.
I'm glad this helped. I don't have my fob any more. This was the cheapest solution until o can get the sensor fixed. I don't know which door sensor is causing the issue so I'm stuck for now .
I car does the same what I do is not activating the alarm when is parked at home, but when I'm in the supermarket or somewhere else it suddenly turns on the alarm because of of the problem in the sensor of the doors,I took my car to the electric mechanic and they couldn't find the problem in one day so is not easy what I need to do is disconnect the horn too 😐 thank you now I know where the cable is.
On mine I got it used and the horn was already disabled. The doors on the passenger side were the culprit. I rolled down the windows and set the alarm. Reached in to unlock one at a time and open them. Simply pull the door skins and short together the black and blue wires. This tells the controller that they are closed. Now if I can turn the horn back on?

You should reconnect your horn. It relieves stress and can save a life. After you reconnect it you don't need to set your alarm. I push the lock button once and it secures the car without setting the alarm. And not only does my horn work but I'm installing four Cadillac horns, yes that's right 4 individual horns, because I think I'm a train :-) Thanks for helping me find where they are!

Yes, it's much easier just to remove the fuse for the horn. Check your user manual. For the Escape 2007, it's fuse #20, 15 amp.

I'm late to your video, but this helped me, as I am having a similar problem with my 2001 Ford Escape. Thanks!
I love the explanation... thank you

Kudos for getting in there... I would've just pulled the fuse buttt, if that disables multiple other things then pull the horn relay.
I couldn't find the horn fuse 😥
Exactly what I did on my 2005 Ford Escape simple fuse pull!
The horn fuse is on the passenger side left side number 20 15amp

I got mine fix, it was the hood ajar switch $20 RockAuto. The hood ajar switch was the most easy place to start.

@@diegorivera3397 The alarm probem has return in the hot weather, I'm trying to figure out FORScan to locate the issue
The alarm on mine pisses me off and I know my neighbors are mad lol
@@KingDevoneoGotBeats bro same my neighbors must hate me.
I liked seeing you push your horn, been looking for videos like that.
Why did you just not remove the fuse?
Too much work. If that how you want to fix it just put the fuse out. #20 is for the horn lol
Its hot that u work on ur own stuff i wish my old lady would work on my thingy more
I have the same car and same problem. Unplugged the horn and the alarm still goes off ☹️
Why not just take the horn fuse out? 15 amp

Ur tyres are on the wrong way around
