Ive had experiance with this, my runner 70 had a 28mm carb and that was draining too. The pump is sufficient but the feul peg/cog doesnt let enougt fuel through, you should get a malossi or RMS 9mm fuel peg/cog. That wil ket enough fuel trhough and stop the carb from draining.
We have since discovered the size of the fuel peg/cog is way too small. So we will have to change that as well as the fuel lines. They seem to be perishing as well
The problem is as far as I can hear the fuel supply. I do not suspect the jet in the carb. It seems to me that the fuel flow from the pump or petcock is not enough. So first check the fuelflow coming from the pump wihich goes to the small fuel resevoir and the fuelflow from this resevoir which leads to the carb.
I thought these were only good if fitted alongside an inner rotor ignition? unless I am confusing it with something different. try upping the jet and seeing what it does, if it doesn't change anything, go back and richen the needle, if that doesn't help with that lean condition you're having, try a bigger carb? OR look at getting a bigger/faster pump?
Hmm.. I haven’t heard about that regarding the rotor ignition. But maybe it’s something to look into! Thank you! We’re already quite big on the carb. But the conclusion we’re coming to is that the carb is draining too quickly and not getting enough fuel. So next will have to be a fuel pump and bigger fuel lines!
❤ Fuel pressure, she's drinking more than the pump can supply at higher rpm and speed. Regulator, bigger jetting...? In all honesty, the simplest or basic issue is usually the problem - first hand experience. Ask Noah, or Oom Zain. 😊 PS: Why you be lazy yo, why you not loosen or remove the panel covering the Force thingy? ❤ 2 all
We are thinking its the fuel pump and hoses, definitely what we are looking into! And... those panels are terrible to remove without taking everything off hahaha.
You need to fit a float seat with a larger flow rate. Nothing to do with pump since carb is not directly supplied by pump, but gravity fed from the degasser tank. Dude, there are far easier ways to get to the CDI, lol. Why don’t you phone your uncle Stan? 😂 Also, why don’t you do a plug chop and take a reading, that will tell you exactly what you need to be doing ?
Do you know what other engines will work in my gilera? I want something like a 250cc vespa or 300cc piaggio beverly engine but will i need the wiring loom too or could it plug straight in?
I'm loving these videos! The production quality is top notch well done guys
Thank you!
That thing looks like it’s hard to handle! Crazy power 😅
Add a pwk 24mm carburetor to it n it should work just fine that's the set up I got on my 180
Just watched the whole build, absolutely amazing, we love these over here in the UK mate 👍🏻👌🏻❤️🇬🇧
Love the riding vid 😊

Definitely what we have figured out since then! The fuel pump was running itself dry. So new bigger lines (they’re perished) and a better bottle.
I think the carb float bowl is running dry/low at high speed. The carb can not fill up fast enough. It's not jetting imo.
That seems to be it!
I might consider a Malossi digitronic too, for my piaggio zip ..
but first get new plastics 💪
You should try it out!
@@urban_riders When i have some extra cash, i'll look into it ... 😎
Can you get a gilera runner 125 4 stroke please and put some parts on cos im getting one on Tuesday
Maybe one day we will have our own on the channel. But for now I think I know someone who might have one 🤔
Machine pal ❤❤😂😂 fast nice

@@urban_riders looking forward to the upcoming videos and I hope he fixes the lean top end :D

Haha, we are looking into this. We did do a plug pull in one of our last videos. its seems better now with the bigger jet!

The engine mounting should be the same but with regards to the electrical, I’m almost certain you would have to swap the loom.
@@urban_riders OK thanks alot 👍
Link for the part please

If you are in South Africa
Only remove the side for the digitronic.
160 is quite big it will probably run more agressive with smaller jet it sounds like the fuel pump cant keep up sounds just how mine sounded
Definitely looking into the fuel pump
And put a bigger jet to solve the problem on high speed.
How fast is a stock 180?
Completely stock they get about 140kph sometimes a bit more.
With the mods it gets there in a fraction of the time. 😅
@@urban_riders wow,I'd get one but the unavailability of parts is holding me back
@@slimfit767 Engine and Drive parts are not difficult to get. As long as you not missing too many chassis items. Get one, they super fun to ride.
@@urban_riders will certainly look into it
