I own a pair of 715s and when paired with just one 718xlf or 618xlf the result is just amazing. I easily cover up tu 150 up to 200 pople with chest punding bass and really great mids and highs. Something very important to take in is that all speakers work very diferently (and way better) with the propper signal chain ang gains structure. For example: Running my 2 prx straight from a NI Traktor Kontrol S2 with XLR cables direct to the speakrs does a.. fair job and normal sound quality. Hi @DJ Rick Web The 800 Series has actually more differences than meets the eye. They did use the same drivers, amps and overall enclosure design, but thats it actually. * The enclosure had a redesign on the top, the box got slightly smaller * the input panel had a major redesign. We'll see what hides behind the marketing catch phrase "crown designed input panel", presumably nothing. That said, I find the input panel (or rather the switches) on my PRX715XLFs to be the weakest point hardwarewise. So let's see. It certainly resembles the SRX line in looks, maybe the feel is better, too. * the grill is new and a little more professional/SRX like looking * they finally silenced that fan * They used a new (Sharc) DSP chip, which can be found in most professional digital mixing desks. That makes for a completely new tuning of the loudspeakers, which is reflected in a rather different spec sheet and a much wider and more linear Frequency response. While the PRX712 is rated at (±3 dB): Main: 55.7 Hz - 18.2 kHz, the PRX812w is rated at (±3 dB): Main: 58.1 - 20k. * The internal crossover was raised a bit also, promising a tighter binding between Woofer and Tweeter. The new graph on the spec sheet looks interesting, it certainly looks less linear at first, but that might be since they used a 1/6 octave smooting instead of a 1/3. * The remote feature is a goodie on top, I don't think there is much to do in day to day action, you can however actually use it to give the speakers a general tuning, since - opposed to the EON DSP - the EQs actually do something. The delay could come in handy as well. All in all, it is a pretty substancial upgrade and I am really looking forward to test them out. That said, I really liked the PRX712 and they are actually what led me to order the 812w.
This JBL PRX serie is rather fabulous, amazing sound in little F.O.H (no more than 300 people) very good as stage monitor (no feed back). PRX 718 XLF bass cabinet is impressive, a bass kiler ! State of the art design, and remember JBL grows old very well. All loudspeakers by JBL the best of the audio industry. Thanks JBL greatest engineers.
I bought a pair of the new 815's with the 18lfw's that match and I am totally blown away with what they will do! I'm not much on the PRX connect stuff but as far as the price point when paired with the 18's-it is crazy loud with killer sound quality!! Most impressed with mine and want 4 more!
Just happened to see this video. I have to comment. I've seen a lot of videos with the title QCS killers. All these videos use the k series as examples. No videos compare the kw series. Personally, I will add my 2 cents from personal/professional experience after 29 years in the live sound business. I've been fortunate enough to use & own almost every typical brand of speakers, powered and passive. High & low end of each brand. I've experienced failure with every one of them except the QSC K series. The only KW I own is the KW181 sub. I've been running these QSC speakers at 9 shows a week for 7 years straight in Panama City Beach & Saint Petersburg, Fl. with no failure ever. I want to experience the JBL 800 series, the EV ETX series, the FBT, RCF and QSC KW offerings. All I can say is, if it ain't broke, why fix it? If you're at a gig and it's not loud enough, you didn't bring enough kit. Always have back-up & extra kit. Sound is subjective, quality is not. All this talk on website forums saying the QSC's get harsh at loud volume after a lengthy time is something I have not experienced. Each gig I run is at least 5 hours. Perhaps it's a person's individual ear fatigue. Or the fact that they may not know what they're doing? Again, I've seen & read many things about QSC killers, I've never seen one thing about JBL Eon killers, or Yamaha killers, or Peavey killers, or EV killers. It sounds like everyone is trying to beat the QSC stuff, nobody is trying to beat all the other brands. I think QSC owns the pro-sumer market even with their 7 or 8 year old technology. I also understand there are superior products such as EAW & Danley Labs. I'm not talking about these beasts. I'm talking about the previously mentioned pro-sumer brands in this article. This is only my opinion/experience with this subject. I do not claim to know it all. Please feel free to enlighten me. Don't be a dick, say what you have to say with constructive criticism and prove your theory. Best wishes!
+hank shepherd great comment. The only thing as I noted is that the highs on the JBL and ev just have a lot more clarity then the older technology drivers in the qsc. Being newer as well gives them a leg up in output power, not by much, but it's noticeable side by side. I agree with your if ain't broke don't fix it though. I have installed the k series in venues purely because I know they won't break. It's more a personal preference on the better clarity and output as you probably know, the average person at our event can tell a difference.
we run all jbl prx, we have two of the 715s. and yea.... they can get stupid loud. and the sound from the JBLs. so clean. i agree every time i hear them i think, this is just too clean.
Another great review Rick. I love the PRXs more than the DXR, ELX and K12s. Your right the vocals and clarity are so much better especially if you don't have a DBX driverack.
Rick, thanks for the review. I am shopping around for speakers and It just so happens I am looking at the JBL 712'S AND the QCS K12.2's When you say "small gigs" how many people are you thinking? I have EON 515 now...and you KNOW i'm looking for an upgrade. I do Karaoke gigs and have done some weddings. In your opinion because you have BOTH should I spend the extra money on the 715's? or the lighter 712's (I DO have an 18" sub) thanks, love the channel very informative. Jonathan
Great speaker, but the are missing a great Crown amplifier like it was on the 600 series. And you should compare the 712 to the KW122 (wood) not the K12 (plastic)
I agree with you about the JBL speakers. I want to Guitar Center in audition every speaker they had and I thought the sound of the best. I actually bought these for wedding that when I was on the TLC network I had that much faith in them.
The JBL PRX812 what would you say is the difference? Would you call those a K12.2 killer? Lol. I’ve noticed in your videos you seem like a JBL guy which is cool; I prefer Cerwin Vega over most. But I want a new set and I seen these and I like to watch your videos on extra tips but back to my original question. Do you think the PRX812W are better than these or just about the same?
The 712 and 812 are identical speaker and amp wise. Only difference is they added a dsp to the back of the 812. And I am not a fan of qsc they have an autotuned sound to them which I dont like
DJ Rick Web I’ve only used K12’S for small Elementary dances and to me they sounded good but I did notice the highs seem a bit to loud as if they’re screaming at me. I just wasn’t sure if it was the settings or being inside but I noticed them even when being used with a sub or outside. I have the entry level Cerwin vega CVE 10” speakers and they sound a bit cleaner and have way more bass for only 340$ a speaker. I looked into turbosound but they’re really expensive for a 10” I can get a 12” in these JBL speakers which I read more on last night and went back and watched more of your videos which I always do tbh so yeah I think I’m going to try these out or the 812 whichever my local store has 👌.
Great Review. I own a pair of EON 612s with an 618s sub most time for private parties. I am about to restart DJing for little events up to 200-300 people inside (50-100 dancing). Are two PRX815W with two PRX818XLFW a big or a small update? What do you think with your experience, Rick? Greets from Germany.
Big update! I would only take that eon setup up to maybe 150 175. The prx setup i do 250 no problem. 300 might be at limits for me but depends on the type of event and room. Those 2 18s are monsters. And the tops if you do a high pass have a lot of head room to work with for most events
@@DJRickWeb Thanks a lot for your support. Two last questions: 1) Did I understand right that if I cut off the low end of the PRX815s they can get much louder in the mids and hights and 2) would it in your opinion better to go for the PRX812 instead of the 15s (only minimal 40 bugs difference in Germany and that doesn't matter)?
I agree with you. The qsc is great but the jbls are underrated imo. I have the prx715 and i dont use subs specially in a enclosed space like a hall or a large room they produce insane bass as if i had a sub. Ive dont countless hours of research in the market and i have a category system. I separate them into 3 lower mid and high. For me the lower category is up to 500 dollars which include the mackie thump15 and the zlx15p. I dont like the eons but it might be cause you have to tune them. But out the box they dont sound good or loud imo. This category i give it to the mackie thump15 over the eons zlx and the altos which are not bad either. The mid tier for me include the prx and the qscs and yamaha dont remember their name now. Definetly the prx wins. Jbl really knocked it out with those. One prx sounds as loud as like 2 mackies or zlxs. They are that good. The higher tier is not worth getting into it includes mackies hd series and the jbl srx series. I havent heard the mackies cause nobody has them for demos but the srx are just ridiculously loud and clear.
If anyone is looking in used market…I had the prx 612 and 712 at the same time and did an A/B comparison. The 612s are lighter but the sound quality of 712s is a little better. not WAY better, but a little bit.
are the prx812s underpowered? I heard that the prx800 series of speakers have a trend of being underpowered. its only when they turn the volume knob to 12 o'clock that sound starts to produce. is that true?
Hi! I love your videos... I have a band with me myself and my guitar.... and my kick bass pedal...ahaha... im looking for a full kit... do you think that 2 prx812 and one prx815xlf can be a good one... or should I put 1000 more bucks for the EV etx12p with one etx15sp sub... was also lookin for QSC K12.2 and a Ksub... or the yorkville elite series.... it is for performing first... but i'm gonna use them for music sometimes... hope you'll answer me ... im a french canadian so sorry for my english skills.. ahaha
Hey Rick, First of all I would like to thank you for sharing your videos. I just bought an 812W and for reason the sound is way too low for a 1500W. I have to get to half before I can even I can get any sound out. Got it replaced but same behavior.
DJ Rick Web I have the same problem on my 815w the sound its no really loud on half of the volume And i im runing them with drive rack PA2 its the same
Nice review.....I have the QSC KW122 and have not found a speaker that sounds better (in my opinion and for the price) but I guess that's what this is all about.....what each of us likes, otherwise we would all be running the same equipment. Keep spinning! 👍
QSC is a great power amp specialist but not a builder of cabinets. NEVER they have build one loudspeakers, it's not their work. Each one its work, and JBL is the best. Musicians love JBL because their loudspeakers and cabinets are the best of the audio industry. I wish you never had a problem with a loudsspeaker in a QSC cabinet because about the origin it's a mistery, made under specification, but by... and where... impossible to know.
Rolls Royce built great cars using somebody else's suspension and they also used somebody else's engines. Using other companies components does not prove that a manufacturer cannot make and produce a great product
I bought the PRX 815 W and 818 XLFW, which are pretty nice to run! The only thing I don't like is, that there's just one handle on the left side of the top 12 " and 15 " speaker. Even if the 15 " speaker weights just 21 kg which is the same weight as 21 x 1 Liter Water bottles, I could carry it a lot better with an additional handle on the right side.
Hey man I need help. I recently recieved a very nice set of 15" dj speakers rated at 350watts rms each. Anyway the problem is when I turn the power on they make a hiss sound straight away with no input sound cables connected. Is this normal for DJ speakers?? They sound amazing I mean really deep bass. They have wooden cabs. Im on the verge of sending them back. I need advice
+Kirk Thompson many things can cause hissing. Dirty power is one. In which fixing that would require using a power conditioner. Other than that most speakers make some hissing noises. Not loud ones. But how the speaker is made and the quality also can play into the hissing.
DJ Rick Web okay thanks for your fast reply mate. I just really needed to hear from someone with knowledge like yourself. Im pretty happy to hear that most speakers make a slight hiss sound. What power conditioner do you reccomend?? Im going to get straight onto it.
You finally replaced EON's 612 to these PRX 712's. They sounds much better. I compared them and PRX710's sounds better than EON's 612. K12 are good speakers still better than EON's but they have simple Celestion low and high frequency drivers rated at 250w RMS and used stamped baskets for lows. JBL PRX series has casted frame low frequency drivers. More rough and massive than drivers used in QSC's. An in my opinion JBL PRX sounds better.
DJ Rick, when how you have got a 18 subwoofer and it has selectable crossover in 80hz, 100h, and 120hz I know the 80hz is the better one but when you are better with 120h? When would I appreciate use 120hz than 80hz?
Hey man! Been following for a long time now and I'm glad to see another young guy in the DJ game killing it. I have always been a passive speaker guy, but I'm really looking into going powered... I have watch this video 2 or 3 times... I'm looking at the JBL prx812 and the 15 subs... I'm looking to get lighter with the speakers... I also watch you how to hook up powered speakers but I still don't understand.. I hope we could chat sometime about... thanks
+SV6Mustang thanks. And watch out here in the next couple weeks. Doing a gig this weekend going to film it in third person to help show some detail on my setup process. And its pretty straight forward when setting up passove speakers
DJ Rick Web ok I can't wait man! Thanks for replying so quick! If you get a chance, take a look at my Facebook page (Facebook.com/djdiddyservices) I'm always looking for feedback with lighting or whatever as well!

Just had one of my prx 712's short out on me at an acoustic gig this past week. Just shut right off and when you turn it on the lights in the front blink yellow and red. I'm still paying on them to pretty pissed off they are under warranty thankfully however who knows how long it'll be out
+John Jones was the fan running? I have heard that the fans sometimes stop working and need replaced. And how hard were you pushing it? And environment. I had ny prx 15 sub pushing heavy volune in hot conditions and shut off too. And wont cone back up. Next morning after it had cooled down was back to normal. And still working fine
What you guys think about DBX GoRack for prx 815 and 818xlf? I gettind clipping to early with just direct plug in from mixer. So hopefylly DBX will solve that problem, I just place a order for DBX
A driverack won't solve a clipping issue. Make sure you have your gain structure right. The built in dsp in the 800 series is just as good as a driverack.
DJ Rick Web Thank you for respond. I actualy first time heard today for driverack, and I dont really know what is that for excatly. I just know that it makes your speakers soudns better, I found that on google. And i saw one of your video where you was using dbx driverack. Can you please explain me for what is excatly driverack for?
Driverack does equing and compression and a little feedback suppression on the go model. Equing can be done inside the app for the JBL 800 models. No if you have the driverack pa2 like me you get a ton more features and configure individual output to 3 different types of speakers and get a lot more detailed. Overall a driverack go doesn't do much more than what you can already with your speakers. And one like I got it is beyond overkill.
DJ Rick Web Thanks for quck reply, I appreciate that! Hopefully is gonna help me little bit this driverack is gonna help me littlebit :D i have some strange issue. In my really big living room, I play these speakers some times for my soul, you know, just enjoying in mixing. And i have some strange problem. My room is 30 feet long and about 12 feet wide and I usually place speakers in right corner. And everything is pefect, when you are 3 feets from them. In middle of room there is no bass at all, in some parts music is so loud and so unclear that is sound like somebody is putting sharp kbife in my ear :D And when i tried to move it in middle, all room was sound boomy, like the airplane is in there, not speakers. I'm living in hope that this rack is gonna help me little bit about that problem. That is driving me crazy, on party people asking to turn volume down, and home where i can enjoy in loud music, my room is telling me noo, and everything is sounds horrible, like speakers which cost 100$, and i really don't know what to do about that. Plus there is some noise in speaker's when i turn it up (without music, just mixer all the way up and speakers up) they are sond like i turn on vacum cleaner, all room is shaking of some noise its like brrrrrrrrrrr, and that is also annoying. When i turn down mixer wolume, its cind of disappear, but that noise is still there. Ahhh so much problems
It comes in handy if you daisy chain 4+ together. You can still run stereo even if two of your speakers are in a room around the corner. We also use this feature when we run both RCA's into the left speaker and an XLR over to the right. Sometimes it comes in handy for those weird setups we all see a few times each year and you will run less cables.
Central PA. I just realized you were in Ohio. For some reason I thought you were in NJ. That's a little too far & they are so heavy to ship. Keep up the great videos.
DJ RICK WEBB, if you can please help me out. I also use Virtual Dj-8 like you. but.. mines glitches every now and then just because.. 😞 & sometimes when I click on CUE it glitches. it NEVER used to do that before. if there anyways to fix this? you're my last option.
DJ Rick Web I dj a different kind of way.. my controller isn't exactly compatible with VD8 it's called CDMB-5000 so.. I use straight from the laptop effects. it's sucks but.. trying to save money to buy a new controller.
DJ Rick Web I'm currently am using VD8 but it does keep asking got an update. but I don't want to update it because I'm just barley learning how to use it & it does ask me to update to (Virtual Dj 8.2) Do you know if it's the same.?
love the sound of my newer ev zlx12p but when I upgrade again I may go jbl boxes look built better and they are fan cooled unlike the ev that gets pretty warm
+Floreypottery dude you love the sound of the ev zlx. No joke look at the etx as the upgrade. I heard the etx line and no joke that will prob be my next upgrade in a few years if nothing better comes along.
+djilyaz honestly agree. Plus legit crown amps. Its the magnets those neodymium magnets went way up in price. So they cant afford to put them in the woofers any more those the extra 10 lbs. The fan though was needed.
The crown amps are great, and they did fine without fan, probably because crown amps were good at thermal mgmt. the 612m, 615m were good, but the 635s were lemons, not sure why, but they broke alot.
+djilyaz agree with you there. We have had 6 635s now broke 4 of them on the last pair. Lol. We actually have broke a few 615m's too. Never had 612s until 700 series.
+djilyaz agree with you there. We have had 6 635s now broke 4 of them on the last pair. Lol. We actually have broke a few 615m's too. Never had 612s until 700 series.

3:03 Bruh That Fan Does not Keep the 1500W Watt amp Cold That 12inch Can Take 1500W Peak and around 600w rms Which means If jbl Don't Want This Speaker blown/hot Fast They are Not Gonna give The Speaker More Than 800W Max so. and If U Don't Want Distorted Sound ur Not Gonna give the Speakers More Than 730W Why Did U Also not Tell The Rms Specs of The Speaker u Only Told us 1 Specs About it I Love Watching Your Vidioes. not Trying To hate, But I also Love Jbl/subwoofers So Don't Talk Wrong about them I do Btw have 1 JBL GT5 2402BR and a jbl eon 518 Sub In my car i did get the Eon as Defective So I made it Passive
This was a beginner video on the channel. I just read what was on the box / onile which doesn't list the rms spec of 1000 watts. 750 woofer 250 tweeter. Apologize for young me.
In my opinion- the QSC K12's are SOOO much better. Way more bass, way better highs. The JBL speakers are good, and may have 1500 watts but the K12's are just so much more fine tuned and are 2000 watts peak. These are FAR from being anywhere near a K12 killer. Now the SRX series might just kill the K12's. Personally I own a pair of K10's, and they are better than most speakers. Also when you were talking about the tilt, the K12's have that built into one stand cup. Also the K12's have so many more features such as intrinsic correction, and DMT, and DEEP mode. With the PRX's (and it could be the microphone) even with the Bass up they didn't have enough bass. You shouldn't have to "fine tune" a speaker to make it sound better. You should have to fine tune it for your room.
+Dennison DeNatalie its apples to orange ask anyone jbl and qsc are up there in popular speakers. The watts thing is not fully correct. 1500 watt is rms for the prx vs 1000 watt rms in the qsc. The built in tilt cup on the qsc is patented therfore why jbl doesnt have it until the 10 year rights for the patent are up. If you want all the fancy modes and stuff the 800 series has that with tuning via app. And the speaker sound side by side with a k12 in normal mode is identical in bass. A perfect flat signal. Bass output on a k12 in deep mode is greater then what this speaker can produce as i addressed in the video. All comparisons that I made were made by me and my friends who own k12 listening to them side by side.
Dennison DeNatalie nooo bro. yesterday i was at a wedding with about 300-500 ppl and the dj was using 4 qsc kw 12 and you still couldn't hear the music but the last time i had a 1000 ppl gig i used 4 prx 515 and it was too dam loud and still had more room to be pushed. also the last time i went to help out a friend he used 2 of the qsc kw 215 and they were distorting and he almost blew them because they couldn't cover the hall with about 120 ppl. stop adjusting your hears to the qsc speakers just because everyone uses it.💯
The fact that you are judging speakers based on a UA-cam Video shows so much about your expertise. The Ks are great speakers, but the PRX are a totally different animal. If you had tested them side by side you would know that. Nothing can replace a good wooden enclosure. The midrange is always better on those. The Ks have a fantastic bass response, that is true. I don't know a box that does what these do when set to Deep mode. That said, I - like most other people - use 12" loudspeakers as tops. Therefor I very much prefer the PRX, since they stay punchy and warm even when pushed and have a very tidy mid range. The QSC get muddy due to the enclosure resonance if you push them. That said, I am not a DJ but a professional sound engineer, so maybe when you are a DJ, there are different things to strive for and factors that I don't understand.
The k12.2 is definitely a better match to the output of a prx. The qsc wins out on the bass for sure. And it's a tie for me in terms of overall output and clarity.
Just subscribed. I only have a few Gig Logs. I should do more. Most of my videos are pretty random. A lot of motovlogs i still need to edit too. Check it out if ya want. If not no worries.
+alejandro breceda wasnt announced when video was made. And the k12.2 is closer to the prx 712 or 812. Same output power decent dsp features on both. Prx is still a wood cabinet so not fully the same but closer.
hi dj rick web cool dj speakers i am getting realy big subwalfer dj speakers it is a duble subwalfers and theye are 60 inch dj speakers cool ha no worries ok dj rick web chears seth peace
No no no they are only know by you as that please dude. Fucking eons. I use eons to hold my beer on c'mon dude. Prx are great but dont eon us. Oh God VDJ.

Hi @DJ Rick Web
The 800 Series has actually more differences than meets the eye. They did use the same drivers, amps and overall enclosure design, but thats it actually.
* The enclosure had a redesign on the top, the box got slightly smaller
* the input panel had a major redesign.
* the grill is new and a little more professional/SRX like looking
* they finally silenced that fan
* They used a new (Sharc) DSP chip, which can be found in most professional digital mixing desks.

Agree. Better then QSC K12's hands down. Beautiful detail!!!
This JBL PRX serie is rather fabulous, amazing sound in little F.O.H (no more than 300 people) very good as stage monitor (no feed back). PRX 718 XLF bass cabinet is impressive, a bass kiler ! I bought a pair of the new 815's with the 18lfw's that match and I am totally blown away with what they will do! I'm not much on the PRX connect stuff but as far as the price point when paired with the 18's-it is crazy loud with killer sound quality!! Most impressed with mine and want 4 more!
Great Review! I like that you gave an honest comparison of this Speaker to the K12, and said what they both do well!
Good Stuff
DJ Rick Web, thanks for your reply. Keep up the great work brother.
we run all jbl prx, we have two of the 715s. and yea.... they can get stupid loud. and the sound from the JBLs. so clean. i agree every time i hear them i think, this is just too clean.
In your opinion because you have BOTH should I spend the extra money on the 715's? or the lighter 712's (I DO have an 18" sub)
thanks, love the channel very informative.
Jonathan
+Jonathan Knight if you want to use the sub at ever gig go 12s. If you want to just use your tops at some gigs get 15s
I only run jbl I use the jbl eon compact as a monitor it sounds great crisp ,but I'm looking for s 712 to upgrade
Great speaker, but the are missing a great Crown amplifier like it was on the 600 series. And you should compare the 712 to the KW122 (wood) not the K12 (plastic)
+Derick Rioux i used the k12 because its so widely used and i had access to hear them side by side
I agree with you about the JBL speakers. I want to Guitar Center in audition every speaker they had and I thought the sound of the best. I actually bought these for wedding that when I was on the TLC network I had that much faith in them.
The JBL Speakers never disappoint TBH great video bro and that scratch at the end lol
DJ Rick Web and thanks for your response bro I’ll be looking forward to more videos 👌
Correct ans yeah I get 12s
I love PRXs 👌🏼
Hey brother this is like apple to a pc, you know who wings Lol.
Love your videos keep it coming.
+DJ LTMB very very true. Except its more like a three way. Ev is there too.
I agree. Thanks for the video.
me too i love JBL
What’s the difference between the 815’s and 715’s besides the PRX Connect app? I’m done with the QSC k10’s. Too small, not enough power.
+DJ ME Bay Shore the only difference is the connect app. Same drivers same amp same box.
DJ Rick Web One year later, I’ve got my 812’s! I went with the 12’s, as the 15’s sounded a little fluttery and floppy.
are the prx812s underpowered? I heard that the prx800 series of speakers have a trend of being underpowered. its only when they turn the volume knob to 12 o'clock that sound starts to produce. is that true?
Hi! I love your videos... I have a band with me myself and my guitar.... and my kick bass pedal...ahaha... im looking for a full kit... do you think that 2 prx812 and one prx815xlf can be a good one... or should I put 1000 more bucks for the EV etx12p with one etx15sp sub... was also lookin for QSC K12.2 and a Ksub... or the yorkville elite series.... it is for performing first... but i'm gonna use them for music sometimes... hope you'll answer me ... im a french canadian so sorry for my english skills.. ahaha
How do these hold up against other speakers you have tried recently?
I still use them to this day so they good
I'm going to def look at the PRX715's when I'm ready for a speaker upgrade. Thanks for the great review!
Great video friend keep up with good work and have awesome day
How much for 2? Oh, and what does the monitor dsp setting sound like?
Hey Rick,
First of all I would like to thank you for sharing your videos. I just bought an 812W and for reason the sound is way too low for a 1500W. I have to get to half before I can even I can get any sound out. Got it replaced but same behavior.
+Imran Shareef maybe your mixer isnt sending a strong enough signal
DJ Rick Web
I have the same problem on my 815w the sound its no really loud on half of the volume
And i im runing them with drive rack PA2 its the same
Nice review.....I have the QSC KW122 and have not found a speaker that sounds better (in my opinion and for the price) but I guess that's what this is all about.....what each of us likes, otherwise we would all be running the same equipment.
Jbl srx 812p the best!!
Ill tell you a jbl prx killer fbt 114a 🙃😂 true unreal when you test them out with bluetooth dongle or apple music thats when had HD32A
I bought the PRX 815 W and 818 XLFW, which are pretty nice to run! The only thing I don't like is, that there's just one handle on the left side of the top 12 " and 15 " speaker. Even if the 15 " speaker weights just 21 kg which is the same weight as 21 x 1 Liter Water bottles, I could carry it a lot better with an additional handle on the right side.
+Marco di Renzo agree 100 percent. I love on the new eons they put 4 handles. Left right bottom and top. So much easier to carry
Sorry btw they were not exactly cheap either $600 each. AVE brand
I use 100hz
@@DJRickWeb Thank you so much.
I have 1 sub prx 618 , a speaker prx 612 , and 615 ... also I have a qsc k sub can I connect the k sub with them all together ?
+Eduardo Lopez you can try it
does the jbl have more bass than the k12?
+VDJARMANI a 15 will. The 12in has same amount of bass as the k12 in normal mode. But the k12 in deep mode has way more bass
+SV6Mustang powered*** not passive
DJ Rick Web ok I can't wait man! Thanks for replying so quick! If you get a chance, take a look at my Facebook page (Facebook.com/djdiddyservices) I'm always looking for feedback with lighting or whatever as well!
interesting video. never used PRXs but I use QSC K12 a lot and I love them. but I'd like to give these a try

In 2021 should I buy jbl prx812 or evekx12 .......
Either or
@@DJRickWeb are you still a dealer in jbl’s? Thinking of buying some for my birthday.
No I refer people to canal sound and light for JBL purchases
Try an Alto trouper for acoustic gigs
In middle of room there is no bass at all, in some parts music is so loud and so unclear that is sound like somebody is putting sharp kbife in my ear :D
And when i tried to move it in middle, all room was sound boomy, like the airplane is in there, not speakers.
And i think that this is like the longest comment in a history of your youtube channel 😂
hi , do you have any idea on the PRX 835W
Its solid
Is there any benefit in running both channels through one speaker then passing one thru to the other?
+Simillion not really unless you can come ip with one
Haha ok!
DayNNyteDJs Interesting. Thanks!
Is there a huge difference between the prx vs the eon sound quality wise?
+Tbone Beats yes absolutely. Go demo them most audio stores such as guitar center have both these models up for demo all the time
If you are serious about wanting 2 more, let me know. We have 2 that we keep as backups to our 615's and they hardly ever get used.
+DayNNyteDJs where you located out off?
Central PA. I just realized you were in Ohio. For some reason I thought you were in NJ. That's a little too far & they are so heavy to ship. Keep up the great videos.
@@DayNNyteDJs still for sale?

I have a gig Dec.10th & trying everything I can to get it fixed. not even VIRTUAL DJ - CUSTOMER SUPPORT couldn't help.

DJ Rick Web I dj a different kind of way.. my controller isn't exactly compatible with VD8 it's called CDMB-5000 so.. I use straight from the laptop effects. it's sucks but.. trying to save money to buy a new controller.
+Chris Rosales I dont know what I can tell ya to help the problem. Make sure vdj is up to date thats about it.
I heard the etx line and no joke that will prob be my next upgrade in a few years if nothing better comes along.
no low pass?
I like PEAVEY And JBL 🔥🔥
prx612>prx712....like 10 lbs lighter, and similar spl, and no fan...why did they go backwards?

3:03 Bruh That Fan Does not Keep the 1500W Watt amp Cold
That 12inch Can Take 1500W Peak and around 600w rms
Which means If jbl Don't Want This Speaker blown/hot Fast They are Not Gonna give The Speaker More Than 800W Max
so.
and If U Don't Want Distorted Sound ur Not Gonna give the Speakers More Than 730W
Why Did U Also not Tell The Rms Specs of The Speaker
u Only Told us 1 Specs
About it
I Love Watching Your Vidioes.
not Trying To hate, But I also Love Jbl/subwoofers
So Don't Talk Wrong about them
I do Btw have 1 JBL GT5 2402BR
and a jbl eon 518 Sub In my car
i did get the Eon as Defective
So I made it Passive
Dennison DeNatalie nooo bro. yesterday i was at a wedding with about 300-500 ppl and the dj was using 4 qsc kw 12 and you still couldn't hear the music but the last time i had a 1000 ppl gig i used 4 prx 515 and it was too dam loud and still had more room to be pushed. also the last time i went to help out a friend he used 2 of the qsc kw 215 and they were distorting and he almost blew them because they couldn't cover the hall with about 120 ppl. stop adjusting your hears to the qsc speakers just because everyone uses it.💯
Dennison DeNatalie k12 not kw 12
NameNaameNameeNaamee who
debating on what bass cabs I wanna get this winter
+Floreypottery very tough debate. You do a lot of mobile stuff look at 15in cabinets. Ev and jbl make great options
Jbls prx 712's don't compare to the K12.2's and they will never be better. I use 4 of them in my set up and they are so much better than the 717's
The k12.2 is definitely a better match to the output of a prx. The qsc wins out on the bass for sure. And it's a tie for me in terms of overall output and clarity.
DJ Rick Web I'll give you that one, but I've a always been a fan of qsc when it comes to loudspeakers and prefer them over JBL
Just subscribed. I only have a few Gig Logs. I should do more. Most of my videos are pretty random. A lot of motovlogs i still need to edit too. Check it out if ya want. If not no worries.
какова цена у вас есть?
AND WHAT ABOUT THE K12.2???
+alejandro breceda wasnt announced when video was made. And the k12.2 is closer to the prx 712 or 812. Same output power decent dsp features on both. Prx is still a wood cabinet so not fully the same but closer.
