I use 2 original K12 speakers at our home volleyball games. I always use the DEEP setting and man, I love the bass coming out of these woofers while the highs stay perfectly crisp. I don't even need subwoofers to have the amount of bass that I need.
I love the k12 precisely because of the quality bass sound it gives us when the deep mode is activated. I would like to know if there is any preset on the k12.2 that mimics the deep of the k12. I really miss it serious.
@@lacerdapaulomusico Same! The K12.2 are much brighter than the K12. No matter what you do there is considerably less low end. Its has preset EQs that are just kind of trash for bass. However, they are astoundingly loud and clear for like singers and bands. Bummed we cant even opt for the K12s.

I've done about 20 gigs with these new k12.2s it's a MUST you bring a subwoofer. The highs and mids are great, but the bass just isn't there. I read QSC EQ'd the bass so it's almost impossible to blow the subwoofer because djs blew a lot of k12 lo-end drivers. Never the less Great Video

Eric Ryan Sound ... How do the iq 15’s sound? Ive heard the iq 12’s and maaaan those things get super loud but stay clean & clear the only thing they lack is bass great for mids & highs with a sub ive been thinking about getting some but I haven’t heard them so im undecided i have two QSC Kw152’s for my main tops right now i want some 12’s for bigger venues so i can run two on each side total of 4 good 12’s when i run my 4 powered 18inch subs just dont know wich 4 i want to pick out of QSC, Turbo Sound or the Yamaha DSR 12’s
@@DJHOLLYWOODAMG QSC you will not be disappointed. I have the originals and i will not be getting the 12.2 I am happy with the originals, i love the bass they put out without needing my subs for every gig. I have never raised the volume on mine and never really needed to as 12 o clock is loud enough. I did pick up a pair of the new cp 12 QSC speakers and man they are great too. light weight and plenty of power, the bass is not as good as the original k12 speakers either. But the cp12 are perfect for corporate shows that do not need bass or speaking events and they are so portable yet the great sound and quality that QSC offers.
I've been debating about getting the 12.2 for one main reason, the ability to use them as studio monitors! People that complain about the low end probably run home or car EQ all the way up on the base and down on the treble. Studio setting gives you a crisper sound through the entire spectrum. It's flat, this means there is no gain at any point in the spectrum, the music is in its natural state. Studio techs need that when mixing tracks. But also having the ability to add a sub, change the eq setting and see what the mix sounds like on the dance floor sounds like fun!
Eddie Guerra, I just picked up the 10 inch speakers, and you can go to Sweetwater.com and take a look at the new subs they have. I got the KS112 Subwoofer, and it sounds amazing. It doesn’t sound like the rig I have with two separate 18 inch subs, but for one 12 inch speaker, I’m quite surprised how huge it sounds.
Luc Mermans, no one said that they are studio monitors, but there is a setting where they become flat response speakers, so you can use them for exactly that. I have the 10 inch version, and I’m going to try them in my studio today, as a matter of fact. I already have good powered Yamaha speakers, but I’m going to set up my QSCK 10.2 speakers in the monitor setting to see how they sound. But yes, that feature has been built into the speaker, plus four or five other computer settings, and they work amazingly well.
Good review. Is the upgrade worth it? Yes or no? Answer the question. I would say no. Originals do an awesome job. Plus they have RCA jacks. Very important. Speakers should have all the connections your mixer or controller has. Everyone keep your K12's unless QSC throws in free bag covers for their newest speakers.
To answer your question it all depends on what you want and your budget. The presets and digital readout on the back are nice, but from a sound quality standpoint it seems to be the same but you don't have the ability to use the presets. I tend to change presets depending on the type of DJ show we are doing, high school, wedding, subs and no subs. Just like all new technology, this is QSC's latest option. Having the RCA jacks was convenient. But honestly doing DJ shows the last several years I haven't missed them. Also I've gone through several QSC speaker bags. I'm not super impressed with the quality of QSC. I've done a speaker bag comparison review video on this channel alongside the Odyssey redline bags ua-cam.com/video/pP274vY7d8M/v-deo.html and they are very comparable if not better. (And slightly cheaper!)
I use both of these speakers I have 4 of the k12.2 and 8 of the k12’s I prefer the k12.2 over the og k12. I’ve used both without subs and the k12.2 has more push more low end.

Bass sound of Q12 's is better than Q12.2 's , so need not to upgrade if you have already Q12 speakers, same real power Watt. 2000 watt said on Q12.2 's is lied, cheated.

Is there a comparison between the K. 2 and the Bose L1 system?
Hey Kevin, I haven't done a comparison between the K.2 and the Bose L1 system. It might be something I'd consider doing in the future. Thanks for watching!
@@TinkerForward I also want to know which one is better for live band
Good Morning!
In the case of Qsc K12.2, does it actually deliver 2000w RMS? OR 2000w peak?
Jhonatan Sacramento .. I heard its the same power for both of them they just tweaked the K.2 to sound better with more DSP!
those 2000w are just peak. The specs of the k12.2 is 1012w continuous. So is the same for both speakers. I like the was the k12 sounds better than the new one.
I actuallly measured the RMS power of K12.2 amp module, I have 750W on the woofer @ 2ohm, but to be honest, the 2 ohm woofer of K12.2 is not great. sensitivity is only 93dB
If you're using12" monitors w/ out a subwoofer at dance events, you're cheating yourself and your audience.
PREACH
QSC12.2 told 2000watt is lied, not real, cheated , its power watt sounds really like Q12, 1000w.
Bass sound of Q12 's is better than Q12.2 's , so need not to upgrade if you have already Q12 speakers, same real power Watt. 2000 watt said on Q12.2 's is lied, cheated.
THE NEW K12.2 is not even close to old k12. The old version sounds more fuller richer and lots of beef in it. I don’t understand why new versions are not better than old version
Nice speakers
Thanks for watching!
Thanks. People don't want to plug in a phone or a tablet. They want bluetooth! Amazing omission!
The k12 horn is 8 ohms and the k12.2 is 2 ohms.
En español
Hi. thanks for the test. I would like to know if you could give me your email address so i can send you a mp3 file of some organ music so that I can hear how my music will sound before i buy these K12.2 speakers
😅🙄
why that annoying background music all the way through so BAD!
The k12.2 is straight garbage. The qsc company needs to go to jail for lying about the specs
K12.2 sounds like shit but still people buy them.
