He never swear around the family, and now he’s dropping a lot of F bombs for the smallest reasons. He sounds rude all the time but I don’t think he knows or understand that he’s being rude which is very sad. It broke my family’s heart especially my mom. My brother said it was literally nothing to do. Just playing in the sand. Pure boredom and heat. I thought it didn’t sound that bad. But he said two people tried to kill themselves just so they could be send back home. It was a mental game. It’s like it’s someone else in his body. A stranger of someone we never met. If anyone has any information or experience, could this be PTSD?
Hate to say it but sounds like your brother got influenced by those around him. Seen it happen a lot we get guys come in the unit who doesn’t smoke drink or dip and rarely cussed. But living around people who does will rub off on you. Glad I don’t let it influence me Be your own person
Look getting off the plane from Germany in Kuwait was traumatic I'm not a tropical person getting shot at for the first time was well I don't remember which was the first time. I remember stepping off that plane in Kuwait though.

Lol when leaving iraq we went by Kuwait for 2 weeks. I loved AJ, it's like a small city vs the fob i was at kept getting mortared several nights the fob had to go black. When we finally went to Kuwait it was like being back in America, you can visit the mall in the city, go on tours etc.... I wanna go back to Kuwait as a civilian that's how nice it was
Camp Buehring is the most anti climatic place to go too. Can't believe we trained up for a whole year including a ntc rotation to go there. Our squadron ended up in Syria nearly the entire 8 months away. Buehring has everything you want besides privacy, quality bathrooms and alcohol. The biggest fake deployment ever, I feel for the guys who spent thr majority of their 9 month "deployment" to kuwait and please tell me their brigades didn't give everyone comabt patches even though they never left kuwait.

In Afghanistan we had to bench press goats on stone slabs and there was no soap to clean up the gym between sets because the goats would just drink it
