I'm in the Army. I haven't deployed yet. But I know lots of people who have. To put this into perspective, in the Air Force you are deployed for what, six months maximum? Vs a *minimum of nine months* in the Army. Everyone says that in the Army you are working your ass off in manual labor in that weather which is the worlds hottest. Then there's the fact that we have to bring our infantry gear, which is really burdensome as it is. Everyone in the Army gets issued a *LOT* of infantry gear regardless of their MOS because it is, well, the Army (it would be the same for Marines). In short, what Keren Joy is showing may not be the best thing but it is nowhere near as much bull friggin crap the Army goes through. Anyone out there reading my comment who is not in the military but is considering joining, *please check the Air Force out if possible, please don't just jump into the Army (or Marines) and make the same mistakes that I and so many other people made* ....
mac burger the Air Force depending on the job can be 4 months to 1 year for a deployment. And I see what you’re saying about the army but I work and transport a lot of army guys on this deployment and quite a few of them enjoy it. And the army folks my section works hand in hand with actually have less work hours and are more lax than us. So I think it really does depend on the job as well.
@@KerenJoy thx for clarifying.
Lol dont send everyone to us, then they will start changing things we got it good. Gotta keep it on the DL
@@brawlingbrandon haha, sorry xD
I'm glad the first couple weeks have been good so far! I hope they continue to be this good and this deployment gives you some good experiences and memories :)
Animechick x thank you!! I hope so too 😄
I got hype when the kingdom hearts 3 theme played in the background! Lmao. You got awesome footage. Was this with the GoPro?
Brady Nuñez haha! I knew you would 😂 and yeah. I was messing around with it
@@KerenJoy helo iam ramish from afghanstan i want work bagram air can you help me iam very like usa and bagram air pless
Wow! You actually have wall lockers? Times have changed. Thanks for the tour; thumbs-up!
Sergeant Fit yeah! I’m just happy they provided some storage for our stuff 😅
When Airmen say "embrace the suck" would that mean to work with old dryers and washers and slow computer's? Or is it something else I'm missing?
9CBOOMER7 I would say it would depend on the person you’re asking haha
No your not missing anything. The Air Force is different, they always have been.god bless them they got it rough, not like when I was in the marine corps. Haha God bless the USMC
Nope, you hit the nail right on the head.
hahahha lmao ***laughs and cries in non conventional mos
that is so cool to see that. my son is there right now. thank you for your service
My brother was in the marines and he told me his base didn’t have washer or dryers, they had to use a bucket with water bottles to wash their clothes
Probably true
Thank you so much for sharing, stay safe always and thank you so much for your service to this great nation.

We lived in a gp/medium for 6 weeks, then did laundry in garbage cans. We had M/F tents with bladers for water to shower. We slept on military cots. What a great 6 weeks in Egypt.
Are u serious??? For us living in the US Navy ship this is a HOTEL!!! For real!! You sleep with 20 to 50 girls in one room/berthing for 4 to 9 months deployment!!!
Edlin Kirk I don’t think I could ever live on a ship for too long 😣 how’s that like?
@@KerenJoy M.I.S.E.R.A.B.L.E, aggravating, irritating.. NO privacy AT ALL! By the way how do u like the deployment?
Edlin Kirk idk how I’d deal with that, too many girls in one room is horrible! But the deployment’s great! Better than what I expected so it’s not bad at all
@@KerenJoy what's your job by the way? I'm watching some of air force videos because I'm on the process of transferring to the US Air Force soon!! Ur video is very helpful :)
Edlin Kirk my job is air transportation. I deal with cargo and passengers. But that’s awesome! You have any idea what kinda job you want in the Air Force?
Yo! Dorms. Wow Al Dhafra has come along way. I was deployed there when it was bare base and in development. We stayed in tents. But it was my favorite place that I was deployed.
Not bad, similar to some of the other deployment dorms I have seen
I'm going to Kuwait. At least you don't have to sleep in a tent lucky!!
Anji Michelle right?!?!?! I was super happy when I found out they weren’t tents!
Keren Joy yeah I’m jealous 😭
Sooo this isn't Kuwait.....😧
Poontangalang Gang i can’t confirm or deny lol

LOVED LOVED LOVED YOUR VIDEO!!! Besides being attractive and your voice sounding like an ASMR video😀, You stayed on point and hit some key points about deployment. All the while, with a upbeat and positive mentality, which is crucial for the military work! I salute you.
I hope you have friends in the Air Force working in Services.. I would love to know more about this job, what their life and deployments! :)
Fajardo-Kirk Family I don’t really know people in services, but I’ll see what I can do
That was informative I'm glad you made this. Headed there next month.
mvn50 That’s awesome! Don’t forget to make the most of it!
I was US Navy Customs - Quebec Battalion in 2006. I was at Camp NAVISTAR, Ali Al Salem (ROC), and AJ during my tour there and loved it. I really miss my 6-man tent at Camp NAVISTAR.
I wish the doggone latrines were in the barracks building. I hate having to get dressed to go pee in the middle of the night, it's almost the same everywhere I been to.
Ali Al Salem was so chill
In camp Buering we lived in 60 man tents
I was army. Our deployment dorm was a 10 man tent with cots and sleeping bag. A bed and wall lockers? Are you kidding me?
AND NO PUSSY IN SIGHT!!;!!!
Sounds like you got paid the same to sleep in shittier conditions
times change man
Congrats
Looks better than CAS south for sure, funny I was in country when this video was posted as well, almost wish I could go back
Was there in 03. Looks pretty much the same except we had old green tents instead of solid wall dorms. We did have AC though, so there's that. Walking half a mile in the night to pee did suck, which is why most guys just used a bottle and disposed of it in the morning. Girls don't really have that luxury though. :)
Deploying in less than a month, glad I got to see this before going out there!
Nora Specioso ahhh!!! Have fuuuunnnn!!! It sucks but at the same time isn’t too bad!
I'm deploying there soon as well. I deployed there in 2016 and we were in tents. Is there a rank requirement for tents
Same here! What’s your job?
Hi! I just watched your video. Thank you so much for this post. It’s been so helpful. There aren’t a lot of videos from a females perspective, so thank you again! I was wondering if you’d recommend the BMT duffle bag vs. a suit case? Seems like it’d be easier to haul the duffle bag on the shoulders than try and roll the suit case on the rocks. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you!
Bruh.. I was in 60 man bays 😂😂 that flooded 😂😂 that chair force life doh..
Joe Crazy damn dude 😳
This is like staying in a cheap motel. But still far better than other branches
I believe I went through here on the way to Syria
This place is 100 times different than 1999... Tent city has vanished.
This was super helpful !! Thank you 😊
I thought No one was Allowed to film at a military base in the late 1980s when I was at the N.A.S ALAMEDA Naval Air Station in Alameda California no one was allowed to take pictures or videos on the base without going through the chain of command to get permission a lot of things have changed since then I think
Could you please do a video on all the equipment you have (uniforms/outfits and extras). Would love to see an Air Force versioin. And also, how long have you been active duty before you were deployed? LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!
How often does air transportation deploy? And what’s the difference between this and loadmaster?
Thank you so much for sharing everything! I'll be heading out in July
I swear we probably have the best military installations compared to other countries. Obviously, you shouldn't compare the living conditions at home to your deployment site.
When I deployed to Al Udeid in 2008, we called the latrines (bathrooms) "Cadillacs". Do they still call them that now?
Little late but you mentioned Kingdom Hearts 3. I love that game and I am soo excited for the DLC that comes out this winter.
cup kaitlyn imma be honest and say that I haven’t played as much as I would’ve wanted 😭😭😭 hopefully when I get home I’ll be able to sit and play. But I didn’t know they were coming out with a DLC!
Dude I was actually out there with you. I remember seeing you killing it in the gym on the regular. Its crazy that I stumbled onto your channel. I'm also Air Trans but I was QRT while out there.
Don't take this wrong but I actually kinda assumed you were with the 44th guys from Guam. Great video!
RichAllen24 lol! The gym was my home!! And don’t worry, lots of people thought I was 🤣 and thank you!! Hope you’re doing well!
@@KerenJoy how is your current schedule based off COVID?
@@671TechReviewsfellow port dawg. Are you still in?
@@jayj7725 yep. At Travis in the CR right now.

Thank you for sharing and thank you so much for your service! GOD BLESS! :) Jonathan B. Hawaii.
Hey Karen! Great video! Since it has been a year that you've posted this, are you able to say where exactly this was? I'm deploying soon and interested in what it looks like where I'm going
Stay safe family.
devante orebeau you know I will 😁
Very Nice,Thank You For the Tour
Cool vid. I'm about to ship off soon for BMT, keeps me motivated to see operational men and women.
9CBOOMER7 good luck! What’s the afsc you signed up for?
@@KerenJoy 3d132 Cyber Transport Systems
Can't wait to get the ball rolling
9CBOOMER7 that was my older brother’s job when he was in
@@KerenJoy curious, I'm researching bases I could go to and Dover AFB is a choice. On a scale of 1-5 how diverse are the attractions around the base (entertainment, sites to see, theme parks, go Karts, etc.)
Would there be enough activities to keep me busy off duty?
Thank you for this!
What is there to do on base? When I was on the Air Force website they said they had a lot of great facilities and things to do like basketball and on base stores, is that true??
I hope you return safe back home
👍💪😎.
My brother have deployment in February 2021
Do you mean to tell me that you actually walked to the latrine, especially in the middle of the night, and didn't keep a plastic container on-hand to pee into? A Rubbermaid mixing bottle worked best, and could be bought at the BX/PX on base.
Hi Karen! Question: do men and women get separate bathroom/shower facilities?
How are conditions for independent contractors?
Go Air Force, trust me. I did 9 years. Everything 5 star.
Never will I ever. 😂
We use to burn our poop and wash our clothes by hand lol
Shower and wash your boxers and put them back on was the norm
Did that for 6 deployments lol
I'm on the (same) base now,
greetings from a Belgian colleague
Your brave but what about free time like food movies and wild life ( mammals)
I enjoyed the tour.I wanna see you play outside with other gals❤❤
I was there also deployed also.
We had tents and no a/c with MREs
as a prior Marine I just wanted to short-circuit
Hope you enjoyed Kuwait. I deployed to Qatar in 2015 and to Afghanistan in 2019. I enjoyed all my deployments and would recommend all who serve to take every chance to deploy. They're great experiences and they are great opportunities to meet new people and make lifetime connections. I was in Materiel Management as well. Sup Sup, Damn Right.
Were you allowed to leave your base ?
fellow supply troop just got a TDY i’m a A1C but our squadron legit never deploys or TDY because were SCOS if you know you know out at langley enterprise not LRS going to mildenhall then incirlik however u spell it then nellis creech and mt home then minot grand folks malstrom only A1C going out of 34 people 😂
@@someone.621I’m trying to get to Langley lol. Probably won’t happen unless I crosstrain because my job is mainly AMC
@@jayj7725 yeah we’re afmc .. we’re a off branch from scott
@@jayj7725 langley cool but i’m tryna go to italy or germany
As an active, how often you got deployed?
I'mma ship soon for the BMT and I wanna know if I can be deploy just after the Basic
I have 2T2 job
It's Camp bu....at Camp Aj.
`Thank you for the great video Ms. Keren.
Great video ❣
Looks ok. My questions are if soilders can have a cell phone in Bagram, can they get free calls to family and friends, can they have access to their banks like to get their money out if they needed. Is everything like toiletries shampoo provided to them? How about care packages? Is that free for them? Is care package affordable? Can they spend time with their boyfriend or girlfriend there? Sorry, I have lots of questions. I need to know for a reason. Thank you so much!!
Hmmm interesting. I've seen a couple of videos were living situations are similar. My question is: Are officers is the same living conditions when deployed or is this only for enlisted. Excuse my lack of knowledge, I would just like to know.
Prdarkfire Caro this is for the enlisted. The officers do have a different kind of living space but I’ve never seen it myself
Who's non Air Force military you're watching this?
Hey girl you take care of your self be careful cool 😎 place 🥴🌹stay in touch 👍👍🙏🙏🏋🏾♂️
Bruiser613 thank you! I will 😄
You probably said it and I didn’t hear but, whats the location?
I believe it's Jordan 🇯🇴
I was there in 2020.
While on deployment can you always call home?
You have internet in your DORMS ?
Don't think Twice
You were wise to avoid the Submarine Service.
0:00 you guys got doors?
No Football Fields in Kuwait?
How long is your deployment?
That’s not a deployment
Are there any limitations on furniture you can bring? I'm thinking if bringing a bunk bed with a desk under it for my PC setup
Jacob you don’t bring any furniture. It’s provided. There’s already two sets of bunk beds, you wouldn’t want a third, there’d be no space.
If the Air Force dorms are that crappy. Imagine what the other branches live with. Army must give their people a cup and a stick and say go live in the woods.
Airman Joy, you just failed your room inspection! lol!
i really chose the wrong branch for deploying lol
What base is this?
Are nco dorms any different?
dorms??
What deployed location Is this
Not to shabby tbh. Could always be worse.
JFallacy I agree! I work in the passenger terminal here and I hear a lot of other people’s experiences on other bases so I know how bad some people have it or how much better they do
Ur such a lil baddie 🥵 but kh3 is the worst one , kh2 is the best one. Waiting for 4
What’s your afsc? Thinking about the Air Force but can’t decide what I wanna do
High_life it’s 2T2x1 Air Transportation 🤗
I'm going to kaf soon, hopefully army barracks are nice as these
Kyler A damn, I wouldn’t be able to help you there, but I hope it isn’t bad!!
It's not at all. Got back a few months ago. Tent city or duck tape windows and waking up with sand all over you and all upir stuff. AC/Power went out all the time
Kyler A 🤣🤣🤣🤣 nah
I'm here now , got lucky and was able to get a room in the air force barracks
Kyler A what fr lol
Yo I deploy here in two months can’t wait
Good luck brother can’t wait to join u some day
Latrell Sutton yessir
Were you in Kuwait?
Al Jabar Kuwait?
Fucking chair force pogs.
Did u buy ur bedding once u got to ur location?
maranatha winters yup! I do know some people who brought their own with them, some people leaving give theirs to people who are coming in too.
Do they give you shaveing equament at bmt?
Ice Scream they do not, as far as I know, but you do get the opportunity to get your own
“Deployment” aren’t deployments anymore. WTH did I just watch
