- Hi Everyone,
It's Christos here, AKA, The Frag.
And today I review my newest acquisition, the Fender Made In Japan Traditional 60s Precision Bass. It's a beautiful bass, and I purchased it from The Guitar Lounge in Clarence Street, Sydney.
I also wanted to promote guitargavel.com on behalf of my Captain, David Still. This website allows lovers of guitars to list and bid for beautiful guitars, so please check it out.
Please note, I am not endorsed, nor was I gifted this bass, and I purchased it out of my HARD EARNED CREDIT CARD.
Please hit like, and subscribe to my channel, and please keep comments in good taste.
I also include the link to my previous review on my Fender Made In Japan Hybrid II Precision Bass.

Wonderful video, being in America I was unfamiliar with the Japanese traditional series! I have a Fender Vintera 50s precision bass and it has a 1.75 inch or 44.4 millimeter nut width, wide neck with exact 50s specs but it is a great neck. I love your instrument reviews, they are so informative and entertaining.
Thanks Don, for your kind words. And my pleasure. Very thankful that you find my videos informative. Keep ROCKING! 🤘🎸🎸🤘
Thanks mate for the review. Just got myself a '50s' version of that bass. Can't wait for my amp to arrived. I am trained as guitarist, going into bass. You're right about picking up a bass to rejuvenate ourselves.
Hey Jas, thank you so much for your kind words. I am certain you will love your 50s bass. Keep ROCKING! 🤘🎸🎸🤘
Hey Christos, Jefferson from you know where here.
Great little watch this one, always love seeing and hearing other MIJ Fender enthusiasts. Also dig the jazz knobs on this one, I was thinking before you said it, that P bass looks like it was born for flats! ala Jamerson & Pino. Hope we cross paths someday, keep making vids mate 🎸
Jefferson! Hey Brother, great to hear👂from you. Thank you for your kind words. What can I say, I love Made In Japan 🈲️🈯️🈸️🈳️🈲️ basses. The quality and craftsmanship are second to none. I think a Hybrid II Precision bass 🔊 is next on the cards 💳💳💳 😉😜. Definitely hope we cross paths. Keep ROCKING! 🤘🎸🎸🤘
Brother Christos, thank you so much for the kind words. 🙏🎸 And what an amazing fretted clinic you have for us here. Intelligent, articulate, and no razzle dazzle hype!
Captain David, my pleasure Brother. 🤘🎸🎸🤘
I love your attention to detail!
You seem like a lovely bloke and your glasses are cool!
Hey Mark,
Thank you so much for your kind words. I really enjoy reviewing music products, especially where my audience gains benefit. Please subscribe, if you haven't already. It is a lovely bass. As for my glasses, 👓😎🥸, I am a HEAVY METAL NERD! 🤓 Keep ROCKING! 🤘🎸🎸🤘
I bought one of these basses a few weeks ago. Best bass I've owned yet. I had a similar issue when putting the tone and volume knobs back on after removing the plastic film.
I found that if you lift them slightly before tightening the little screws they fit and move perfectly. Just 1mm does the trick. Don't tighten the screws when the knobs are flush.
Hi there. Thank you for your insights. And glad everything worked out for you. I tried everything, as well as what you suggested. You must have a really steady hand. I bought myself a new pair of knurled chrome original Fender knobs, and found it solved the issue. Keep ROCKING! 🤘🎸🎸🤘
Thanks for sharing 👍🎵🎶🎵
My pleasure, Paul. So glad you enjoyed it. Keep ROCKING! 🤘🎸🎸🤘
@@christosfragias592 just bought the Hybrid 11 jazz bass 🎶🎵🎸
I thought the Jazz Bass of 1960 was so named because the neck narrows at the end like an upright bass.
The 1960s Jazz basses had different shaped necks. In that, they were somewhat less thicker. Whether a Precision or Jazz bass neck, they all narrow at the end, as the string spacing at the nut is narrower than the bridge. Hope this helps. Keep ROCKING! 🤘🎸🎸🤘
@@christosfragias592 You're right that they all narrow toward the headstock; however, the Jazz Bass does to a greater extent such that the nut width is 1.5". Most Precision Basses are 1.65" or 1.75" at the nut (except for a handful that are 1.5").
Black metal was formed out of the hatred of guitarists who wear shorts.
And black 🔳 metal artists invested heavily in their local hardware stores by buying many long nails for their on-stage outfits. 🤘🎸🎸🤘
That was such a funny comment. Thank you, and keep ROCKING! 🤘🎸🎸🤘
