I love seeing all the videos that include horses and the Kings Guards. Their ceremonies are so special and totally different from our life here in America.
Cuz you don’t have fancy Cavalry Guards.
What a picture, household cavalary and Big Ben ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful iconic sight of the cavalry with Big Ben in the background
Indeed. Such a sight of the Horse Guards with the iconic Big Ben
Thank you great to see.
Watching from South Africa.
That was brilliant. Thanks. 💂♀️🦓😊
Astonishingly beautiful
Watching from Australia
Love it. You can have all the famous buildings I prefer watching the horseguards magnificent..love both of them.
Great spectacle,love it❤
Well done lads ( and lassies)
Also watching from NZ great to see
Hi from across the ditch.
They'll always be the Queen's Guards and the Queen's Horses, to me!!
Unfortunately, that time has passed. They're King's Guards from now on
@@christophermichaelclarence6003 They'll always be the Queen's to me.💕
@@blueandmoreblue Understandble.
@@christophermichaelclarence6003 It was one of my greatest honors in my lifetime, watching Queen Elizabeth love her horses, especially. I've learned greatly about the different breeds, her private horses the parade horses et al. It's made me very happy, I really miss that part of her and her love for her dogs too. Have a beautiful weekend.
@@blueandmoreblue Wow and likewise. Must have been increidible for you. Hope you had cherished of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth presence throughout her reign. We all deeply missed he. Have a wonderful weekend
Well done for sitting tight ,AND that was brilliant confidence. And take care all. 😄😄👍👍
This video was absolutely wonderful. I love seeing the mounted
Guards in action along with the hoof noise. I felt like I was right there along with you. Thank you! Love the mounted police too.
I'm also looking at all the beautiful green shrubs and trees in contrast with the bright colours of the uniformed Guards and the magnificent horses. Beautiful, living with that right on your doorstep.
The Blues and Royals are always brilliant, but the Household Cavalry Life Guards look magnificent and magical. The 3 horses that had a bit of a meltdown, had exemplary horsemen aboard, getting them back under control. Riding and controlling those big beauties with one hand, is truly an art
Amazing
Watching from Brazil.
Thank you for bringing this spectacular footage, this is my favorite part. Super remarkable👍🌟👍🌟
Great job.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤗✨from Denton, Texas USA.
Watching From San Diego 🌴 Just Fabulous!! Thank You For Sharing From The States.
Thank you for great video...Watching from West USA 🇺🇲
Thank you so much for your delightful video coverage of the guards👏👏❣️. I imagine it can’t be easy navigating through the crowd & quickly, you do it perfectly👏👏 💞ed hearing the clip clop of hooves & the prancing 😍, horses & guards, uniforms delightful😍👏👏
Thank You this is wonderful to see like so much of your videos
I love this video watching the household cavalry on their way to horse guards parade
You are great to capture this rare event. Thanks
It’s indeed a rare sight, the Horse Guards don’t usually march down along those streets. They look absolutely gorgeous and majestic in redcoats uniform along with their cuirassiers.
They sure look like the Napoleonic French Cavalry but in red
💪🇬🇧🟥👑💂♂️🐴🎡🍵👊
I can't find how old the uniforms are, but I think they might have worn them when Napoleon was about. Please correct me if I'm wrong! 👋🇨🇦 The horses are phantastic, but also very temperamental! Thank you for the lovely video!
@@gabymillar9347My apologies. I meant the Cuirrassiers, the Plate armor the Lifeguards are wearing.
The French used to have it throughout the Napoleonic War and Second Empore
Pretty Ironic, isn't it?
Thank you for sharing
It was very nice to look at and there were many beautiful moments (my favourite: the cavalry in the foreground with the Elisabeth Tower in the background) Thank you from 🇦🇹 Austria 😊
Yes appreciate your videos, Añn New Zealand
Thank you for all the videos you share. Kudos to you for all the walking and sharing you do. (Without getting out of breath!)
Loving this! Watching from NewZealand
Me too..
Watching g from Australia😊😊
a comment on the police horses would be nice
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You do a great job on your videos. Also have a pleasant voice. Hello From Long Island New York.
Wow
Born 1954 so until late 60s only ever known the queen's household cavalry finding it hard to transition to the King's household cavalry
Well done to the mounted police woman's stopping the idiot from riding bike on a road which would be obviously closed. Thank you for your videos, the commentary is helpful to us whose sight is impaired. Keep up the good work.
00:12 am. I’m watching the Life Guards. They have double reins. Do the not use one when traveling like this? I’m obsessed with the cavalry. I love them!!
Christy. Washington state, USA.
How do you know where and when things will be happening..
Obviously for security purposes it can’t be made general knowledge..can it..?
Just right time and place?
Great sound of there hooves..it must be so loud when there’s a full blown “ do” going up and down the Mall..
Lovely to see them……👍🇬🇧
can't see because of selfies!😁! now it's better only twenty people taking their selfies!😀! handsome sight!
All the horses even the police horse are fidgety.. the people are all very close..glad they settled down
Die Pferde haben ein Galopp und gängeln in der Parade!!😊
👍
I have a question. I am not familiar other than watching them at the guard gates. Is this their sole responsibility? Or is there something else they are responsible for? Please tag me in your answer. Thank you.
@cindiallain, I’m guessing that along with the gates responsibilities, they or some of them are responsible for looking after the horses, like grooming and feeding them, and doing military work
They are serving soldiers..operate tanks in war instead of horses which are purely ceremonial. They are all fighting soldiers and great riders.
The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment carries out mounted and dismounted ceremonial duties which include mounting the guard at Horse Guards. The Household Cavalry Regiment is the operational side and performs armoured reconnaissance.
They escort the monarch on the State opening of Parliament, the monarchs birthday parade, escorting visiting members of State, amongst other things. The Household cavalry Regiment, a composite regiment of the 2 Regiment's of Household Cavalry, The Lifeguards and The Blues and Royals, based at Bulford are a armoured reconniscence regiment.
Do the riders have certain horses they ride? How is it decided which rider is assigned to which horse?
The horses seem restless today
❤😂 🎉georgoulis a😊 15:34
Horses are creatures of habit, if they're not used to going down Birdcage Walk they're going to be a bit unsettled about it. The calmed down though, must trust their riders
3:55
Invader is there
These horses seem to be unusually skittish and unable to hold their position in line, which I find completely unfamiliar with the usual well trained and disciplined horses of the past decades of Queen Elizabeth 11
Amazingly, they are still living animals. Doing what they were doing BEFORE Queen Elizabeth. RIP Queen Elizabeth❤
@aussiejohn5835, maybe it’s because the band struck up as the horses were going by
@charlottecunningham2141 That's correct but the horses are normally conditioned to ignore loud and unexpected noises
@@aussiejohn5835 we would think so but I’ve seen videos of them being spooked by sudden or loud noises while they are at horseguards. They sometimes get taken inside because of the noises. And sometimes when they are on the mall and a band approaches, the band will lower their volume until they pass each other
It's probably because they're going down a different route. Something different
Hello from Upper-Austria! Thank You very much and have a nice weekend!
