True but their living environments are completely unnatural so the herding instinct is triggered readily when they are starteled by noises of cranes doing their work close by in gentrification areas.

Booban, it wasn't just the building noise the other day, debris was being dropped from quite a height too. Horses have peripheral vision, and in the wild cougars or pumas can attack them by dropping on them from cliffs or trees. Yes, and how did they go into those centuries of wars with man, and how much have we been totally dependent on them until the 20th century.

Okay, something is off here. These are very well trained horses who are around large groups all the time. Yesterday three horses bolt and one gets injured. Today this.

Yup, "some thing" is freaking these well-trained horses. I've had several hoses of several breeds, and the only thing that caused them to freak or bolt was an unseen dog or trotting pasture cow. Horses, do indeed, know how to fight.

there is a lot of head shaking from most of the horses, it can be a sign of excitement or frustration, poor animals are under a lot of stress at the end of the day.. the 2 runaway horses from yesterday are both in a serious condition and have both had to have surgery, (one of them is in the equine veterinary hospital) 😢 prayers for Quaker and Vida. I hope they both recover well from this 🙏

Is it something they are hearing that can’t be heard by humans??? Does someone have some kind of device? This MUST be investigated! The other horses are throwing their heads and seem distressed.
Could be one of this electronic Mouse deterrent or anti dog barking device. We had the mouse one and my dog became restless as soon as we got rid of it she was fine.
Theres a demolition job happening nearby and 40yard metal skips (like shipping containers) are being filled quickley with up to 30 tonnes of rubble and debris down a chute from a top floor of a building. It makes alot of low frequency noise. This was reported on the radio this morning and would explain why the horses are noticing unusual sounds making them panic.
I've noticed and said numerous times how 'flighty' these horses seem to be over the last couple of years and increasingly so. Remember one of the horses got spooked at the Trooping Of The Colour as well. Go back over the years and watch all the other 'Trooping Of The Colour'. It hasn't happened this way before. That sounds very reasonable. Either it’s something external bothering the horses, or it’s that the horses are from a different line from usual, and have a different temperament. Our Queen Elizabeth was very interested in horses, possibly more so than Charles. Maybe her input was needed in get the right ones selected. I was in the crowd at Trooping the Colour last year. An officer's horse was spooked because someone in the audience forgot to comply with the sergeant major's request not to let the spring-loaded seat snap up in an uncontrolled way when they stand to show their respects to the colour as it passes by. The seats make a noise if you stand up suddenly and this can spook the horses.

There is something that is unseen that is upsetting all these horses? Even long after the initial throwing of the trooper, the other horses never seem to settle down, after 3 mins they are all still throwing their heads with ears back and acting nervously. Not the small crowd, they're used to much worse.

These horses, like their ancestors that were used in wars; are bred to be big, strong and "high-spirited" These horses are not little, docile, fat, Shetland ponies at a petting zoo. That said something like an ultra-sonic device being deployed could to over- excite them; I hope that is not the case.

LondonCityWalk excellent video. The troopers still mounted where very professional and went on with their way to relieve the Blue and Royals. The Lifeguards came from Hyde Park Barracks where the 5 horse involved in yesterday's incident live. Maybe the horse who threw his trooper was upset as the barracks dealt with yesterday's incident. All the men of the Household Regiments must have neen worried about all troopers that's the horses and men who'd been injured. For all we know, these Life Guard troopers and horses may have been out on morning exercise as well at the time but they have to soldier on (ignore the pun). You can see the contrast been the Life Guards and Blue & Royals horses on other videos. Apart from one instance when they rode out, the Blues horses were very calm. Another Life Guard horse had a slight melt down and refused to get back in the box, not sure if that was yesterday or today though. Amazing control by the trooper.

These horses are totally uncomfortable and in unrest. What they have done with them or infront of them that such friendly domesticated and trained horses are so distressed. They are not happy and not willing to trust their trainers even.

Horses are so wonderful. When we see them on parade or going through formations we often forget how many hours of training it takes to perform so well. A horse can have an ‘off’ day just like any person. There might be something it doesn’t like or simply something else it would rather do at that moment. Horse and rider need to be in sync for it all to work.
Oh my, the trooper laying there vulnerable behind the nervous and restless horses. A terrible disaster waiting to happen. He could've been trampled. The soldier running up to the spooked horse could of set the horses over the edge. I hope the horses aren't sensing something humans can't. The whole thing is eerie.

I just don't understand how jumpy ALL the horses are!! They are supposed to be trained with aggressive crowds and a lot of noise, yet here they are are all obviously unsettled, shaking thier heads. Seems standing around and having a chuck of metal being constantly pulled in your gob isn't much fun.

Could someone close by be using an ultrasonic repeller? They emit sounds between 20 and 40 kHz, this would be enough to freak the horses. It seems odd, such well trained horses being spooked to days in a row.
Horses look massively stressed, and clearly those things they put on them are hurting them. All the horses are Constantly trying to move their heads and mouths to get them off! This needs to come to an end.

I've had horses all my life. They are herd animals with a flight instinct. When the one horse tossed the rider, the other horse's acted up, creating a chain reaction. Looking at the spurs on the Calvary rider's they look quite big. Imagine someone jabbing those into your sides, which is a sensitive area on a horse.
Seeing it from another angle, it seemed that this happened because another horse backed in to the one that dropped his rider. The horse was quite passive after this happened - definitely wasn’t trying to break free. . The horse did not buck deliberately - just tried to get out of the way of the one in front in a constrained space. I hope the guard recovers quickly and is soon back in the saddle. The horse will be fine. There certainly seems to have been something malignant in the air this week in London. So many restive horses… very unusual behaviour… hope all the injured are recovering well - equine and human. ❤️ from NZ.

More concerned why the rider was unseated when the animal was stationary. Any well trained rider that knows their animal will know when they are becoming unsettled and prepare so as to not become unseated.
Oh come on. A horse violently shying can catch some of the most experienced riders....and out of the side door you go! There's a lot of momentum there.
Strange happenings with the horses. In my humble opinion all fodder, hay and water in tanks for the stables should have been laboratory tested.. Also investigations should star whether someone is using some sort of electronic device that's spooking the horses..

Bless those poor horses at Horseguards they have to put up with so much stress lately with hate marches literally walking right past them insulting the soldiers and making so much noise, please stop all hate marches walking past horseguards and block that road completely to pro-hamas supporters. Their negativity lingers in London, we all feel it as will the horses who are highly sensitive animals, ban them from the vicinity completely and let the horses have some peace. Booban, it wasn't just the building noise the other day, debris was being dropped from quite a height too. Horses have peripheral vision, and in the wild cougars or pumas can attack them by dropping on them from cliffs or trees. Yes, and how did they go into those centuries of wars with man, and how much have we been totally dependent on them until the 20th century.

Yup, "some thing" is freaking these well-trained horses. I've had several hoses of several breeds, and the only thing that caused them to freak or bolt was an unseen dog or trotting pasture cow. Horses, do indeed, know how to fight.

there is a lot of head shaking from most of the horses, it can be a sign of excitement or frustration, poor animals are under a lot of stress at the end of the day.. the 2 runaway horses from yesterday are both in a serious condition and have both had to have surgery, (one of them is in the equine veterinary hospital) 😢 prayers for Quaker and Vida. I hope they both recover well from this 🙏

Could be one of this electronic Mouse deterrent or anti dog barking device. We had the mouse one and my dog became restless as soon as we got rid of it she was fine.
Normal behaviour for a rider would be to get off and calm their horse as you are right they are clearly distressed.

Theres a demolition job happening nearby and 40yard metal skips (like shipping containers) are being filled quickley with up to 30 tonnes of rubble and debris down a chute from a top floor of a building. It makes alot of low frequency noise. This was reported on the radio this morning and would explain why the horses are noticing unusual sounds making them panic.

I've noticed and said numerous times how 'flighty' these horses seem to be over the last couple of years and increasingly so. Remember one of the horses got spooked at the Trooping Of The Colour as well. Go back over the years and watch all the other 'Trooping Of The Colour'. It hasn't happened this way before. That sounds very reasonable. Either it’s something external bothering the horses, or it’s that the horses are from a different line from usual, and have a different temperament. Our Queen Elizabeth was very interested in horses, possibly more so than Charles. Maybe her input was needed in get the right ones selected. There’s no need for builders to be rude to people thinking the building noise is a problem. They are probably right.
I was in the crowd at Trooping the Colour last year. An officer's horse was spooked because someone in the audience forgot to comply with the sergeant major's request not to let the spring-loaded seat snap up in an uncontrolled way when they stand to show their respects to the colour as it passes by. The seats make a noise if you stand up suddenly and this can spook the horses.

There is something that is unseen that is upsetting all these horses? Even long after the initial throwing of the trooper, the other horses never seem to settle down, after 3 mins they are all still throwing their heads with ears back and acting nervously. Not the small crowd, they're used to much worse.

LondonCityWalk excellent video. The troopers still mounted where very professional and went on with their way to relieve the Blue and Royals.
The Lifeguards came from Hyde Park Barracks where the 5 horse involved in yesterday's incident live.
Maybe the horse who threw his trooper was upset as the barracks dealt with yesterday's incident. All the men of the Household Regiments must have neen worried about all troopers that's the horses and men who'd been injured.

For all we know, these Life Guard troopers and horses may have been out on morning exercise as well at the time but they have to soldier on (ignore the pun). You can see the contrast been the Life Guards and Blue & Royals horses on other videos. Apart from one instance when they rode out, the Blues horses were very calm. Another Life Guard horse had a slight melt down and refused to get back in the box, not sure if that was yesterday or today though. Amazing control by the trooper.

Horses are so wonderful. When we see them on parade or going through formations we often forget how many hours of training it takes to perform so well. A horse can have an ‘off’ day just like any person. There might be something it doesn’t like or simply something else it would rather do at that moment. Horse and rider need to be in sync for it all to work.
Oh my, the trooper laying there vulnerable behind the nervous and restless horses. A terrible disaster waiting to happen. He could've been trampled. The soldier running up to the spooked horse could of set the horses over the edge.
I hope the horses aren't sensing something humans can't. The whole thing is eerie.

Could someone close by be using an ultrasonic repeller? They emit sounds between 20 and 40 kHz, this would be enough to freak the horses. It seems odd, such well trained horses being spooked to days in a row.

I've had horses all my life. They are herd animals with a flight instinct. When the one horse tossed the rider, the other horse's acted up, creating a chain reaction. Looking at the spurs on the Calvary rider's they look quite big. Imagine someone jabbing those into your sides, which is a sensitive area on a horse.
They're reacting to bad Juju........or ultrasonic sound,poor animals,evil knows no boundaries.

Seeing it from another angle, it seemed that this happened because another horse backed in to the one that dropped his rider. The horse was quite passive after this happened - definitely wasn’t trying to break free. . The horse did not buck deliberately - just tried to get out of the way of the one in front in a constrained space. I hope the guard recovers quickly and is soon back in the saddle. The horse will be fine. There certainly seems to have been something malignant in the air this week in London. So many restive horses… very unusual behaviour… hope all the injured are recovering well - equine and human. ❤️ from NZ.

John's video! This happened on Wednesday, after the military exercise and bolting horses. The Life Guard horses were still upset. The Blues and Royals horses standing directly across from them were all calm.

More concerned why the rider was unseated when the animal was stationary. Any well trained rider that knows their animal will know when they are becoming unsettled and prepare so as to not become unseated.

Strange happenings with the horses. In my humble opinion all fodder, hay and water in tanks for the stables should have been laboratory tested.. Also investigations should star whether someone is using some sort of electronic device that's spooking the horses..

Bless those poor horses at Horseguards they have to put up with so much stress lately with hate marches literally walking right past them insulting the soldiers and making so much noise, please stop all hate marches walking past horseguards and block that road completely to pro-hamas supporters. Their negativity lingers in London, we all feel it as will the horses who are highly sensitive animals, ban them from the vicinity completely and let the horses have some peace. Hope both horse and rider ok? We are so proud of them all as Brits.
London has just generally become more stressful for them. And I'm sure they pick up on the tension and noise from the protest marches too.
