Respect to the police officer and her horse for helping to control the guards horse
The guard did well to keep control and thanks to police officer for helping out. Bravo ❤🙏
Police horse wasnt having a go. Police horse was controlled, keeping the kings guard horse on track. By cutting the unsettled horse off.
Thank you for explaining it further. Appreciate it.
@@elizabethcave7666 Thought the same 😊
How come the police can train their horses so we'll and the kings guard can't
@lorettaobrien8599 because police horses are highly trained to perform crowd control, roits etc exposed to all manner of noise etc. They tought to manover objects, items and people.
Guard horses are not given that kind of training.
They're trained to march. Given some desensitisation to road noise, cermiminal work.
Although the horses are geldings, (had their nuts chopped) the ones that are a little frisky, I'd suggest are the younger, newer horses fresh out of training.
Yep. Just a young horse.
Love the way the horse rejoined the others as if nothing had happened 🤭
That’s very true! 👍
Poor horse just wanted the crowd to know what a great tap dancer he is!
The guard did a splendid job of keeping his horse reined in. Well done!
Indeed. The Calvary Guard did a good jod of keeping control his horse.
Seems like the horse did it on purpose. Doesn’t go back to the barracks
I might be wrong
The horse decided it was his day to entertain ,did his party piece, then quietly sneaked in at the back, hoping noone could spot him 😅
Excellent work by both riders.❤❤❤
I hate it when your horse decides to have an off day like this... but it happens to even the best of horses. I don't know if there was an insect biting that set him off initially and then playing up because he got separated (separation leads to all sorts of fun behaviour), but an extremely well controlled outburst and the police were there doing their job well.
I get it. I've literally been in both situations, being able to remain calm and work through these situations is always the best way to avert danger.
Unlikely to be a bug biting in winter.
Wow! What a moment! The guard really had to work to keep that horse under control! It wasn't easy, folks! Kudos to the guard for a job well done in a very tense moment!
Great control of the horse with the left hand, well done😊
Seems the police rider did all the right things here, and most likely helped to calm down the Guard's horse somewhat. We may never know exactly what was up, but the Guard got the horse settled eventually. Good work all round.
Wow! That could have been very, very bad if the nervous horse collided with spectators! Good job, Lady Rider! Plus, good job to her horse! 🤩🤩
Great job by both officers!
You did a great job keeping us viewers calm. Thanks for your work
Can’t get enough of those Majestic Redcoat uniforms. Event thought, they might be revealing, they look absolutely magnificient and the horse as well
The Cavalry Guard did a good job of keeping control of his horse. Nicely done
Spectacular. Those horses are stunning
From South Africa 🇿🇦 Love that horse with the white socks. He's enormous? 🐎
That’s fantastic, thanks for tuning in from SA! 🇿🇦 Yes, The King’s Guards’ horses are HUGE!
His name is Radford , he's one of the biggest .
I also noticed him, he's beutiful
They’re animals not machines…so not unexpected occasionally.
That’s a jolly nice collected canter though. Should have been a dressage horse, not a kings horse.
That's teamwork, well done 👍
What a brilliant display of teamwork, on both the police officer and guard. Those big beauties wanted their own moments to shine. Much respect
Many horses do not like to be at the back of the herd, and when one horse gets upset, the best thing to do is separate from the rest to keep others from going off too. Well done, both the Trooper and Police did well!
Wow, what a horsemanship, such control. 💝💝💝💝
Love Horse Guards! The Police Woman was great!
Superb horsemanship 👏
I've never been to Londan, sadly, but I feel like I'm getting to know the city by watching your videos. I feel like I'm learning so much about the Guards and the horses daily. It fabulous how well the police, the Guards, the troops and those at horse guards all get along and back up each other and support each other. I love watching from the States, on the HE coast. 🇺🇸💙🇬🇧
We call that “crow hopping” in the US.
Horse was actually dancing, changing his lead leg as he trotted. The white van was the military luggage van carrying all extra amenities needed by the horses and soldiers. It looked like a short guard with ten troopers and two NCOs. Long Guard also has a Trumpeter and an Officer as well as the colours.
Very interesting thank you. I believe a long guard is an indication that the monarch is in residence. As well as a trumpeter. Not sure if that’s correct?
@@alisonrandall3039 That is correct. In the documentary "The Queen's Cavalry" they show the Long Guard ready to leave Knightsbridge only to be informed at the last minute that the Queen left London so it was reduced to a short guard.
Nice handling👏💯❤️🇺🇸
Excellent. Good horse
Ich liebe diese Jungs und ihre schönen Pferde, Gott bitte segne sie ALLE, AMEN ❤❤❤❤😢😢😢
Wanted to show his dance moves bless him xxx
Cant be there, this is next best thing! Thanks for sharing! Love the clip clop of horses hooves!
Bravo à ce garde !! ❤🇫🇷Monique
Horses are not robots. Both riders knew what they were doing. All good. No harm done. We don’t know what the horse saw or sensed that set it off. When something like this happens with folks who are well aware of security it can be an excellent alert. That’s why the police cars and officers are there. Sadly we live in a very dangerous world.
He handled the horse very well! 👍
Horse just wanted a dance solo!
I thought the Trooper did a perfectly good job of getting his mount under control, there was never any danger, just a skittish horse having a moment !
Its thise drums that upset some horses!
Sometimes the horses like you to know that they are not really in the Army like their riders and are independent .
Sounds like it has A LOOSE SHOE.
It sounds like one horse has a loose shoe. Ive had that happen while riding.
What’s with the royal guard horses? Do they not practice much, or do they not have proper fitting gear?
Oh well down, both riders!
I think that horse wanted to dance with the marching band...
Hi - I am a new subscriber- I love your content ❤
Amazing, thanks so much! More content coming! 👍
From Las Vegas USA
When was the danger aversion??
it looked as if the horse was having lag cramp. it happens on humans why not on animals. Wonder if they check if their nutrition is balanced and what people feed the horses when they are standing in front of the palaces.
OOOOOOW, LIGHTING QUICK ! HAAAAAAAAA ! ARE YOU JOKING ?
Should a person riding a horse in public, not always be able to control that horse? Especially when it is their daily job to ride horses!?
And should a horse being ritten in public not always be under control?
*Like the police lady and her partner demonstrate very professionell and relaxed!*
Horses are living beings with minds of their own not the machines that many people seem to think they are and can never be considered 100% safe in any riders hands.
That behavior is used in "dressage".

NB 'Convoys' are maritime.
Where are they actually going, or why?
They are the Lifeguards one of the two regiments of The Household Cavalry , the other being The Blues and Royals . They are riding from their barracks in Hyde Park to Horse Guards to relive the Blues and Royals where they stand duty for 2 days . Horse Guards is the official entrance to Buckingham Palace along the Mall once there on duty they are referred to as The Kings Lifeguards whichever regiment they are .
@@kathellison8084 oh, thanks! I live in USA and don’t know much about these things. I do know horses can get skittish - I would too!
I think those horses need some furloughs to the country where they can run now and then
Horses don’t want this. They want to be out of the big city, grazing on green fields.
Horses are breed for this.
It's those lever mouth bits that amplify the force on the horses mouth. You could see that several horses were distressed on the approach. Yanking their heads up, but people have seen it so often they think it's normal by now. One of them had enough. Look how short the reigns are when the horse tries to bolt. The horse wants relief and backs off from the situation that causes pain but the reigns get shorter and shorter and the pain on the mouth increases. Those mouth bits with levers should be banned. It's not the first video that I've seen. It keeps happening with the Royal Guards and they cannot figure out why.
The horse is not distressed. Just messing about. Horses do it all the time. Yawn
To much commentary about the horse issue!
That horses mouth is hurting! Lookat hypersalivation.
These horses are so uncomfortable☹️
😪😪😪😪😪😪
These poor animals stomping on concrete every day.. no wonder it’s distressed.
Poor horses 😢
Work the crap out of that horse next time...
I don't get the waste of taxpayer money when British education needs it more than ever.
They're active troops but if they stayed in Barracks they wouldn't need all this pomp and protection.
Help tourism? Who'd come to bronxdon
And that dear children is why we do not walk on the roadway when the horsies go by
