I'm actually surprised that you guys got him out of there. Like most rock hounds, Dan much prefers to just sit and burrow in the dirt and rocks like a little puppy. Just like Pauly, just like the rest of us! Thank you for being such great hosts!
Wow that Pinolite was *_Incredible!_* my brain went straight to the massive out-croping up higher and cutting slabs for countertops, tile walls, and floors... The variety and uniqueness would make for a highly desirable (and profitable 😛) so very many possibilities. I suspect that pinolite will become its own gold mine for them! Thanks for sharing with us today Dan... Today most certainly earned my subscription!
@Solaris BC huh? I heard there is a Radiologist who opened a clinic in BC where he does "Head to Toe" M.R.I.s and then reviews everything he finds with you...That would be so cool! Wait? What were we talking about again? 🤣
In time who knows . It may be worth more than gold one day ? It probably won't but it certainly be of value to somebody in the building construction for sure as much as marble is.
Having knowledge knowing what to use to mine and cut the gems with, gotta be thankful to the past generations as well as the hosts (with today's tools) that is all here in this video. Mining is hard fun work. What a priceless crew that is totally wayyy cool in my book. Giving Dan and everybody a high 5 with much appreciation and love
What the what, those nuggets looked like a hand full of one inch gravel! The Pinolite is beautiful. Love this adventure. Absolutely my favorite channel. Thanks to everyone at the mine for letting us see your operation, hope you keep having good luck finding those huge nuggets. As always, another amazing video from you Dan. Can't wait to see the next one.
I absolutely love this video. Having the variety of small pans, adventures where you find hardly anything and now this big operation! Great variety of content lately. Cant wait for you to come back in spring!
Wow what a stunning stone Pinolite is, my deceased love of my life, she would have loved a pendant and or earrings of that, I got her lots of pendants with Queensland Boulder Opal and other Stones only found in the Kimberley region of Western Australia when I would travel for work, she lived in Scotland and did the long distance thing. She would have cherished that stone, she wasn’t about bling, but unusual stones like me she loved, even the rough pink quartz in it’s natural state I gave her from my property. This video just took me right back there with her happy and sad memories. Thanks for that in remembering she is still present.
And Dan, thank you for bringing these producers to the public. Showing us how the beautiful things that enrich our lives have their origin and the people behind them.
My goodness Dan. Now this was totally amazing. The size of those nuggets....... Can only imagine how much "smaller" stuff was in the cleanup. And the Pinolite...... Pretty as a whole piece, but then when it was cut and opened....... WOW. Some really pretty stones. I think my favorite was the one you all called the Jungle scene. A very accurate description what it looked like.
Dan has a great attitude and is a fun character to watch. He reminds me of a few uncle's that have passed away. They got excited about life. They didn't listen to a radio, watch TV or do anything but have fun in the wild world.👍
I love seeing large operations, you bring so much excitement and happiness in your videos it makes them a joy to watch and learn. I really want your videos to teach even more. Then again I'm selfish. Love the videos Dan!
I started watching your channel for the Au . Now I understand your love of gemstone. ❤ those crystals! Thanks for sharing, happy new year’s from Aussie Dave.
Loved this episode Dan , first time seeing big nuggets like that, Wow. I wish I had some of that Pinolite . Because it really is beautiful plus it would make a excellent tiled floor. Thank you for sharing. 🤗❤️👍
Thanks for sharing pinolite with us. Just as exciting as gold. Love the variety of the patterns and flowers. Make me want to get into lapidary work. Too many hobbies, not enough time. And love seeing the scale of the operation. A glimpse at work I would never see otherwise. Please show us more.
You know Dan, when I said I enjoy seeing the bigger equipment put to use, this wasn't exactly what I was talking about.... but awesome none the less. Love it ❤️
Dan! Greetings from the state of Pennsylvania! My 7 year old and I love watching your channel! We bought our first panning kit for Christmas, and we have started traveling around to our local streams and old iron mines, while being careful, to find what we can, it has been so much fun for both of us, he and I have become gem and rock enthusiasts, we don’t have much gold around here but hey, we are trying! Thank you again for the great channel!!
Dan thanks for all the new content lately, I appreciate the effort that goes into making these videos for us. Once again another great video, keep em coming, Heavy Pans! Cheers
Hello Mr. Hurd. Just wanted to say, you have an awesome channel. I enjoy watching because you explain what you are doing and not just "sit here and watch". Great informational videos.
Great video Dan and what an epic mining operation , just out of interest do the miners have to restore the land when the mine is worked out if so would it be possible to do a video on the restoration maybe put up before and after pictures .
We had an old bear that would sit under a tree leaning back against it, in our backyard, and she would flip a paw at us n wave as we walked past her on our way out the door. She was on the other side of the orchard fence, but only six feet away as we waved back. A well fed bear is a very calm bear. We had more fruit than we could use, and she generally didn't move into the orchard until we were done picking, as she preferred the fruit from the ground (slightly fermented of course!)
Your enthusiasm for gold and other gems is fantastic!! I have hobbies but I need to find one that brings me joy like this stuff brings joy to you. Thank you for sharing this journey with all of us!
That was a great video love the cuts the flowers just jumped out at you. And those were some amazing nuggets. I'm glad they let you film some of the operation.
Specimens, 2 ounce nuggets, and the cut rock, all be best from the earth. From one operation. Wow. Best of luck with sales, very beautiful samples of all items
The beautiful thing about video like Dan’s is that those old guy are going to eventually have to retire and hopefully Dan’s videos are inspiring young people to get out there and learn more. Thanks Dan.
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Superb channel and videos. As a kid I always invisioned seeing that kind of gold in my pan.... and the new gemstone is a fantasy in stone.
Hey Dan! Wow, now this is placer mine is what I'd call Dan's "playground".🤣LOL The Pinolite is just gorgeous, what an amazing stone for the world to enjoy. And what about those big honkers or nuggets of GOLD...how awesome, great job guys!!
I just adore how excited you get about rocks. 💜 They jump in my pockets and follow me home... And now I'm gonna be eyeballing some rocks I have more closely. The ones where I've said to them, "Uh, what are YOU? You're not porphyry..." as they jump in my pockets.
Cutting those big stones in half, the exquisitely beautiful patterns look like they are in the style of fabric used in a Japanese Kimono, which might be a selling market by featuring them together in some way.
Thanks to everyone at the mine for being excellent hosts for our favorite youtube gold and gem guy!
Pretty easy to be good hosts when he is our favourite as well!!
I agree with you my friend ❤️
I'm actually surprised that you guys got him out of there. Like most rock hounds, Dan much prefers to just sit and burrow in the dirt and rocks like a little puppy. Just like Pauly, just like the rest of us! Thank you for being such great hosts!
this channel is better than the discovery channel's gold mining show by a long shot!
It is what gold rush should be
@@moody5271 minus the BS drama they like to add to the show.
real shi*! honestly learn more about mining and lapidary here than you ever could there.
Dan's one of the best
Both great
I vote for more of this!
It would be a lot of fun to see different mine sites in action. With all the different locations and set ups.
Right - and it's the best of both worlds! Semi-Precious Stones (I'm sure Gemstones) and GOLD! lol 😂 😂

Those potential uses for this stone were my thoughts exactly.
...and profit is good 🙂
I bet it is! 🤪 Are you hiring? I am more than willing to work long hours and get dirty and will accept payment for services offered in Pinolite 🤣
@@johnwilliams8818 well. I *do* live in BC, so I'll check the hills until I find something and get back to you 😄
