most of the cost for HAVING a closet build is the price for the labour , i NEVER had anyone make anything for me it saved me a bunch of money , it allso cost less if you chance stuff around hafway (fit drawers instead of doors , suff like that )
Next time on cheap skates on TLC. Tho why not cheaper wood? And most tools to build a closet would count towards other projects too soo... I wouldn't buy em specifically for a closet. And never use em again hahaha
Good job but to think that the average homeowner can do that you are crazy and why did you even get estimates if you could’ve done it yourself I just don’t understand especially if you are as skilled as it looks like you are
It's kind of hard to take DIY advice from someone who has a room in their house just for a closet that is as big as most people's living room. kind of out of touch
The fact that she can build that her self tells me she never got a bid for 20k cuz anyone that would possess such skills would not bother hiring anyone. Its like being a landscaper and hiring a landscaper.
One thing that’s so misleading is them never factoring in the labor time. It’s easy to pretend like you got a deal by doing it yourself when you don’t account for the sweat equity. I’m sure with labor they spent well more than 20k in material labor and tools
Even if it was 20k sometimes there's a reason why stuff averages out high like that... Yeah you can do it yourself but most of the time it won't be done as professional.. Regardless you're getting the reaction you wanted so I guess it's a win win 😂

I build same style closet for 300$ with recycling. Only hardware has been bought.
can you clarify what you mean by recycling?

Could you make a normal length video about how you guys made this wardrobe? I have to make two in my house.
There is a complete tutorial on my blog startathomedecor.com

@@brooke_StartatHome in your website you didn't mention the thickness of plywood you used, was it 1/2 or 3/4?
Looks like a montage of different closets
Nice! I just bought an ikea pax system for my walk in closet and it’s coming out great! A new closet adds so much value to a home.
Dis you install it yourself? I just bought one that goes overbed and I'm not sure if I can install it myself
This looks amazing!!!! I just got inspired! Thank you!!
$5000 on what? $4500 marble center piece?
probs
At least
Hey did you use sun mica or painted?
Where did you get such high quality looking plywood. All my local stores are warped its unreal.
plywood dealer
500 of the 5000 is a planer
Stick to your day job. They should've been deeper to prevent the clothes from looking such a mess

🎉🎉WOW....just wow!!!💙😱
加两列抽屉就完美了,太多框架看着眼花
Are the clothes always hanging outside of the closet. Every video I’ve watched the clothes hang of outside.
That bugs the hell out of me too.
Me gusta. Muy bonito. Felicidades
Amazing job!
You are amazing as a woman i dont feel confident doing things like this but you have definitely inspired me to have a go 😊
What size plywood and what type is it
How does plywood come out to 5K maybe $500

That was $5000?? It's beautiful, but what cost so much? Oh, the tools! That makes more sense. 😅
Tools and plywood is very expensive....
@@gradeawork2242seriously though. That’s nowhere near 5000 in plywood and/or tools. Lmfao
The countertop on the island is the most expensive thing
oh wow I so love the design, awesome job!
20k?😮
It's gotta be the waterfall countertop because there's no way that would cost me even $1000 for the amount of wood and accessories shown.
most of the cost for HAVING a closet build is the price for the labour , i NEVER had anyone make anything for me it saved me a bunch of money , it allso cost less if you chance stuff around hafway (fit drawers instead of doors , suff like that )
Yep when you have time tools money and you know how to do it good job
Why did it cost $5000?
How thick them panels ??
waterfall counter top was how much? 20k sounds right considering thats what a kitchen cost
Very nice 👌
Even $5,000 is lot. It must of been the wood you used. Nice job.
I love your closet; where did you buy the wood to build your closet?
Your closet is bigger than my master bedroom lol.
Oh my goodness I love that island and those shelves are amazing
What are the dimensions of that closet? WxL? And who gave you that insane bid?
$5000 = ₹4,00,000/- +
For that amount we can have false ceiling for a 1500 sq. ft home and also modular kitchen done. Bdw loved your work 🫡
Love it. I just do all my own stuff now too. The quotes are ridiculous
I love it!!!! Beautiful and you didn’t throw money away with ikea shelves ❤
Nice job 👏🏼 👍🏻
5k would include all the equipment needed.
And labour
idk how we got to ppl actually paying 20k for closets. personally 5k is still alot. but im guessing the stone was a fair amount of that under 5k
If that closet build cost $20k. It better have 24K gold plates all over.

Bravo❤
Nice work done but thought you gonna leave the very bottom in cleaning sake but you sealed every corner how are you suppose to clean?
Wow, sorry, but it's too expensive for a South African to build such a beautiful cupboard! Wish I could afford it!😢
5k ? how much was profit lol.
i know the 20k bidder was husband.
Why not buy something from ikea. I dont think it would cost more than 5k
20k for a few shelves? 😮
I built something similar for $3500 and I'm a pro.
Could you not have built one big enough to fit the clothes into?
5000? 😂 Is it inlayed with gold or something?
I'll doit with 1500 on material and 3k labor
Frfr I’m a car mechanic I don’t do woodworking but $20k?? Foh
Still expensive
wood alone would cost $300 skill, tools ??
Dope

20,000 to build a closet? I think they were trying to rip you off
Bigger than my bedroom
