I'm happy to see you looking healthy Vanessa. I hope back to full health after that horrible illness! 👍
It is good to see you putting some weight back on after your illness, and that you had lost so much weight then. It is good to see you healthy and making videos again.
Good to see an easy way to make a soap in the woods that does not require additional ingredients. Thanks for sharing your knowledge .
Vanessa, you have really bounced back from your infirmity. I knew you would, it just takes time. Love you & your videos.
Another great video. You are so smart and resourceful. Take care and stay safe.
Thanks from all of us in Michigan USA. We love your vlogs !!
Vanessa, you are very creative and your love for nature is evident.
LOL "Click Bate." Too funny! I thought the time you shouted it while on the rope swing was hilarious.
So good and glad to see you and your videos, ❤🌹💗👍🏼🇺🇸😎
Very useful information. I've seen this method demonstrated before, but have never tried it. In my native Appalachia, people used to make their own soap from ardwood ashes, water, and animal fat. The lye soap is very effective, but the process can be dangerous if tried by those with little experience. I've heard stories of people being injured or even blinded while making lye soap.
Looking fit again Vanessa nice to see you well again 👍
I've used so many natural soaps but , I never thought of CHESTNUTS . Love this ! Confession will be hard tomorrow . Lions , Tigers and Wild Woman Bushcraft oh my . 😁😁😁
I watched this episode in German first can't speak a word in German but I still enjoyed the whole video you look amazing can't believe you gave birth to three boys stay safe Vanessa
Hi Vanessa. I’m so glad to see that you have fully recovered from the illness you had from the tick bites.
Your facial expressions look completely healthy and normal.
Love the soap idea. My brother has several chestnut trees near his home.
Hi Vanessa, in the UK we call them Horse Chestnuts and as kids we called them 'Conkers'. We would make a whole through them and tie them to a shoe string. They would then be crashed together. The winner would be the one that won the most battles. A sixer was quite rare!
In the Autumn (Fall for my American cousins) spiders scurry about the place and come out in search of a mate. We used to put Horse Chestnuts by doors and open windows as they would repel the spiders.
Also when the leaves of the tree are green along with a little water you can rub them around your hands to clean them. Good instructional video!
How strange! It seems that game of "conkers" followed some immigrants to North America. As a youngster, we used to do the same thing. But we just called it "chestnut fights".
Some guys were very into the game and would soak chestnuts in vinegar until next year. They supposedly got very hard to crack with that treatment. But the concept was the same. Your opponent held his chestnut on its string a you took turns trying to crack the other guys chest nut. But... Every win a chestnut made was called one year. So, if you busted your friends chestnut, yours was one year. Then the next opponent came up. If you cracked his, your chestnut was two years old. You are correct. I think I never saw a chestnut last more than six fights.
This is one of the things kids like us in less fortunate circumstances used to do to pass the time. And if the guy swinging his chestnut miscalculated and hit your hand...! Oh man that hurt.
God Bless You always
I'm fifty and I played conkers every autumn from 1973-6. I wonder if the kids still do that?
@@user-oo8xp2rf1k I think they are too busy with iphones these days...
If that's click bait woo I'm clicking. Love your videos Vannesa.
THAT'S A GREAT NATURAL SOAP... thanks for the info....
Never stop amazing me with your woods knowledge, pretty lady
Vanessa looking good hope you are healthy and happy and all is well with your family.
Lol, with you I don't need the click bait, but it is a sweeeet bonus 😉
Excellent clickbait Vanessa thaks for the imformation,. God bless you and your family .
In my Youth I collected Hundred of Chestnuts.... In the UK we call them "Conkers" and we played a game with them..... We put them on a string and challenge each other to see who had the strongest nut..... Who would have thought I would be watching a Beautiful Young Lady washing herself in a river with them..... It would have changed my teenage years!! lol.... Bless you Vanessa....... It is good to see you have recovered well.... :-)) xxxxx

Nice to see u out and doing things u enjoy
Well done! I have heard of using chestnuts as a soap, but I have never seen it demonstrated. The method makes complete sense because when the water comes to a full boil, it is sterilized. The saponification is immediate from the bare nuts. Also, since chestnuts have no scent; means it is safe for people who have a skin sensitivity to fragrance(s). This was very useful, and can be so beneficial in more than just making a soap. It means calming yourself during a relaxing bath. You will sleep better, and think clearly when you're clean, and not sweaty. The "click bait" was a nice surprise. After all, what good is natural soap if it can't be proven to work perfectly. It should also be pointed out that a river, or creek, must be flowing at least 7 miles an hour to be free of protozoans, or other contaminants. This was a great episode! Thank you for posting this important hack in case you are lost during a hike, or practicing bushcraft. Have a great weekend. Prost!
Wonderful to see you feeling well and looking healthy. Love your videos and the information you always provide! The click bait was more than welcomed as well. Video was a perfect way to start my day!

Chestnut soap, that's an original, I learned something new , thanks. That's some serious bushcraft knowledge right there.
when I was a kid my grandmother who lived a poor life. She use to keep all the final ends of a large bar of soap, collect enough and eventually melt all the ends together making a new large bar of soap, when you don't have much you become inventive.
Very cool didn’t know about his use for chestnuts
