    The cool and light tones do wash me out, so if you do this you can always go in with just a very light touch of bronzer to get some warmth back in there ❤

      It's a long shot maybe but i just realized I make my face masculine on accident, so can you do contouring specifically for making a face more feminine?
      Just so that I know what should be the opposite instead cause I thought this was how contour and brows were supposed to be. Thank you if you do!

      If possible, could you do a tutorial on feminising masculine features? "Regular" makeup tutorials focus on _accentuating_ feminine features, they don't really teach you what you should do if you don't have those, so it'd be helpful. You mentioned that this makeup made you look like your brother, so maybe you could get him on as a guest in that to directly mirror this video 😆

      How to make features more masculine: You don't use makeup. Forget that idea fast. Makeup is not for men, only if you are an actor on the set.

    • @GodisWunderbar
      @GodisWunderbar Рік тому +40

      @@LakituKoopa This sounds very ignorant, makeup has been used by men since makeup was invented. Go look at the ancient Egyptians, 1700s England, Edo period Japan, current-day South Korea. Just because some cultures (USA, where I'm from) frowns upon men wearing makeup, doesn't mean men can't wear makeup. Have you ever thought why actors or male models wear makeup? It makes them look better and fresh when done right and CAN make them look more masculine.

    Something else that men use to look more masculine is blush.(especially men in Hollywood, check literally any marvel movie poster and you will never unsee it). I think it can really well shape the face for men, and adds that bit of color that is usually lacking in “masculine” make up routines. it can also be used to give a rugged or chapped look to any part of the skin that sticks out, like a brow bone or a chin.

    • @roxypicasso66
      @roxypicasso66 2 роки тому +8

      wait what???? lemme go check.. where do they normally put it? i’m assuming the cheeks… I know that heavy make up is used in Hollywood on men but I didn’t know they would use so much blush!!

    • @Ronsonpeters
      @Ronsonpeters 2 роки тому +19

      @@roxypicasso66 it’s weirdly on like the corners of the cheekbones, like right where it should poke out. Another really good example is Chris Pratt in Jurassic world. I think part of it is he has rosy cheeks in general, but it really helps sculpt his face in that move, if you compare it to other photos.

      @@Asphyxia612 No, not all trans women say they are trans whenever they mention their gender, just like how I dont mention that Im brown or bi everytime i talk about my gender. So if OP wants to talk about something that pertains to gender no conformity and presentation it makes perfect sense she would specify "cis".
      I could be wrong but I have a feeling the reason you took issue with OP mentioning she is cis is because you are of the belief that cis women are "normal" women and trans women are this other category that dont fall fully under the category of woman.
      If this is ur belief, you are incorrect. Woman denotes anyone who is a woman, including trans women. A trans woman is not any less of a woman than a cis woman. Just like how a brown woman is not less or more of a woman than a white woman or an asian woman. Or how a straight women is not more or less of a woman than a nonsraight woman. We're all women, we're just women with different experiences and other intersecting identities as well.
      And before you assume Im a trans woman trying to "cope" as many TERFs do when confronted, Im actually cis as well.

Or you could even do a half face of each to show the power of makeup and your skills! Like the difference between hairline and eyebrow height, as well as jaw shape and how they contrast. From an artistic pov that would be sooo cool 😄 💕

    I super appreciate this type of content! Not everyone is trying to look super femme when they do makeup. You can do both (wear makeup and be masc)✨
    The only other video I've found helpful for this sort of video is Lisa Eldridge's video for masculine/androgynous makeup from years ago.

    This was super helpful and unexpected! My partner is trans masculine and started medically transitioning a few months ago, and he has a similar chin/face shape and fair skin as you. Yesterday he let me play around with contour on his face and this gives me some better ideas for how to practice it next time! xo

    Thank you so much for this-- this is one of the most informative and thorough masculine makeup videos I've seen yet. As an afab person who came out as non-binary a few months ago, and is recognizing some discomfort and dysphoria with how I used to do my makeup and how I present (dressing very hyper-femme, as well as being a dancer and wearing exaggerated stage makeup for shows), I've been struggling lately with how I am perceived, and am wanting to come across as more masculine, so as not to be misgendered as easily... I love makeup, it's such an art form, and can be so transformative-- haha, trans-formative-- anyway, bottom line is, I'm grateful. Thanks for sharing this

  • @melwaters7717
    @melwaters7717 2 роки тому

    Emphasizing the glabella (the area between the eyebrows) also adds to the masculinization of the face! I've also heard of this feature being addressed as a "bossed forehead", versus a more traditionally "feminine" rounder and flatter forehead.
    I learned this from videos of facial feminization surgeries, which address this, the chin and jaw, and the nose!!!

    When I started testosterone I thought my face was gonna masculinize a lot and it would be night and day but turns out my face was already pretty masculine to begin with. So if I had learned to do this make up pre-T I would look the way I do now 6 months on it.
    I say this bc for a lot of people this would work! The physical differences between sex male and sex female are minimal. extreme sexual dimorphism is over represented. Humans have less sexual dimorphism than other primates, a little make up WILL go a long way
