Actually the towing capacity always was 5000 lbs. There is nothing new with the drive modes, my 2021 has all of that. I do like the extra room though for sure. No one seems to be mentioning the torque vectoring feature of the 2021 Platinum which makes the vehicle almost unstoppable. Another question I have is regarding recovery points on the front. My 2021 has the little doors but no threaded insert or eye bolt at all, does this new one have them?
if Im getting a hylander, im probably getting the regular hylander because it's smaller, meaning easier to park. (I currently have an 2011 chevy traverse)
Toyota should’ve kept the 3.5L V6! Sad to see it go! No Highlander for me! I’ll keep my ‘21 Highlander with the V6. I would upgrade my ‘21 to the Grand Highlander if there was a V6 because it feels more smoother and quieter on hard acceleration compared to the 2.4L 4 cyl. turbo
Clearly, this guy doesn't need the help of the lady, and then yet he still includes her in the video 😂. Dude, you should've just made that video all by yourself.
@@oldmanmike4995 just go home a few hours ago. Drove my 2008 sequoia from 9:15 am until 7 pm from a road trip. I hit 210k trouble free miles. It was around 500 miles today. We also own a 2022 RAV4 XSE and the seats aren’t near as comfortable as my sequoia. Or as big obviously. Haha
right.. it's like hanging an ipad in the middle of the dash.. i think Toyota could have integrated the screen into the dashboard way better than they did.
boy could they get a better spokesperson? yeesh she struggled throughout the interview. Does anyone know if the rear window opens? That was the worst part when toyota sealed the back window preventing really hauling large pieces of wood or pipe.
6.3 to 60 on the hybrid? Pretty much identical to the Pilot having a N/A V6. If Honda can make a six producing 40% less emissions, why can't Toyota keep the six? All well and good, but I'm having doubts about turbo 4 not being enough. It'll get you there, but you need a heavy foot.
You don't need a heavy foot. The turbo has more torque than the v6. Most midsize SUVs now use a turbo 4 instead of a v6. Honda is a hold out. That 0-60 time was for the Hybrid Max, not the regular hybrid.
Toyota is getting too expensive. The existing Highlander is significantly inferior to the Palisade and Telluride but costs just as much. I mean, I look at the Highlander, and I'm just like, "This car is too small to cost $45,000."
So other mid sized SUV's are still bigger? The new Pilot has 113 cargo and behind the 3rd row is 22 and this is about 20? Even so I think this in the max hybrid will be my next SUV. I hope the outer dims are not larger than the Pilot and other competitors. Can't wait to see side by side shoot out of the larger mid sized SUV's
but from what I heard that the pilot does not provide many features, but it must be admitted that the pilot has a V6 but the Toyota hybrid max is more powerful
Bro why did toyota not put a bench seat, nearly perfect SUV way better than Pilot. I would consider the Pilot for the bench seat damn toyota why ? I woud like top trim not lower trim for bench seat.
This kind of story telling reviews sucks!! Sorry to say this … you don’t need 2 people discuss about a vehicle like a movie story … I lost the interest in first minute itself
She said Customers have been asking since 2001 wtf 23 years later they are listening lmfao. No they only trying to catch up.
😂😂😂
Always felt like Highlander was built for small petite Japanese like family -Asian etc not for the average American size family
Lmao I came to the comments to say the same exact thing. So what we want now will drop in 2050???😂
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😂😂😂
toyotas will always win my heart
1.reliability
2.resell value
3.drives so smooth
4.cheap on maintence
5.amazing on gas
Can’t wait to trade in my minivan for this. Finally has the space, mpg, and price point (hopefully) I’m willing to pay.
Everything yes but not good on gas
@@jeremiahmiller4640 are you ok what are you talking about
Yes! My sentiments exactly! Very trusting cars.
Bring the V6 back!!
with 400hp
Just imagine Toyotas proven V6 in this, it would have been game over for the competition, should have at least given that as an option
Just wait.
Price tag $65,000 plus dealer mark up of $20,000 and yes its affordable if you take out a loan for 12 years.
Bargain of the post COVID era 🙃
Way overpriced.
Need to do the same with Lexus LX series
Need a TRD Pro version

Hello Texas❤️💓💖👍👍👍Thanks for awesome review💪💪💪💪💪
Toyota always the best
We gotta get more of that lady! She clearly did her homework and did an amazing job sharing all the fun facts and cool details about the car.
She certainly made sure to have the answers we needed. She did a great job!
Good fun joke are always appreciated. Hope he didn't make her look too bad to her boss.
Awesome to see that Toyota's listening to what consumers really want!
They are getting really good at that!
Looks better than the regular highlander.
Why not grand highlander with plain 3.5 or if not 3.5 with twin turbo or just hybrid 3.5 engine?.....
Who needs a rough riding EV when you got the ultimate party bus, Grand Highlander. 😂
Preach!
Screw ev
The second row for 3rd row access would have to say nissan does it better. The seat lifts up and forward out of the way
if Im getting a hylander, im probably getting the regular hylander because it's smaller, meaning easier to park. (I currently have an 2011 chevy traverse)
Thats the beauty, you have options.
@@TexasTruckChannel a men for options! I do see the appeal of the grand hylander.
I love V6 gasoline engine better. I am have 2012 V6 Toyota Highlander still Running perfect.

No V6 i will be moving on and Toyotas are great cars but no V6 no buy for me.
I will gonna buying 2024 😊
EXCELLENT THATS MY WISH TOYOTA
It has more room behind the third row than the second gen sequoia.
Sequoia seats got 3 times the cushions.

Looking forward to see driving test. I hope it is not driving like minivan bus. By the way where it is made?
Princeton, Indiana where they make the regular Highlanders
The only problem for me is the touch screen I don't like, I like more the one on the Sequoia way bigger better quality

@@P_double_H agree
How tall are you Sir? Trying to figure out comfortability in the third row.
6’4”. But mostly tall in the torso.
Now make an Offroad/Overland version!
Yes please!
Expect those engines to be LOUD AS HELLL!!!!!! No thanks!!!!!!
When they release 😮
Very sexy vehicle. You did an awesome job.
How tall are you? Hard to tell how big the 3rd row was.

I still prefer the V6 engine!

Better looking than the highlander not liking the powertrain though
There are 3 available. What's not to like? Lack of V6. Most of the competition lacks a v6
This woman is lovely
This is a brand new model for 2024. How can it be fully redesigned? She also keeps saying the old one. This lady needs to get her facts straight.
People better say your complaints now so that it would be resolved in the next 23 years 🤣🤣
is it on sale??
It will be soon
Hideous Front End... At Least That Monstrous Bumper/Grille Combo.

That has not been released just yet, but we expect it to land right above the Highlander price wise.
What a fine looking woman....

@Texas Truck Channel that's is a reason you don't fit perfectly in the 3rd row, I am 6-1 and I do fit nice and comfy
No V6?
Correct
man, I'll bet she didn't know she was gonna be doin your job for you, lol.
Top trim will easily go up to $60k.
Potential over that. Pricing is not announced, but this will fall between the highlander and the sequoia in size.

New pilot is way smaller than grand Highlander...

Toyota.. give me a Turbo V6 please. Cut the 'small engine crap' and give me power. real power.

The turbo is actually faster and more responsive (more torquey) than the v6

Grand Rav 4
