Just got the new S50 pro plus unit and love it, surprisingly good, with really clear sound, I put it through my Marantz amp and into big Mission floor standing speakers and it sounds like a unit that should cost a lot more.
Great review
I appreciate it
Sorry if I sound like an idiot...but, it is my understanding that a preamp essentially boosts a weak signal before it goes into another device such as an amplifier, while keeping the noise levels as low as possible. What I don't understand is where I would place the S50 Pro Preamp in a multi-room set-up. In my case I want to stream from an iPad (or like device) into a total of five rooms. Two of the rooms would have similar speakers as your B&W speakers and each of these rooms would ideally have a sub woofer. The other three rooms would have inexpensive small and efficient speakers. Those three rooms would basically be for background music. Obviously each "room" or zone would need an A50 Amp...but where does the S50 Pro Preamp come in? Would I need one for each of the two main rooms...and, would they be "receiving" the wireless signal prior to going into the A50 amp?
If you're familiar with home theater you can pretty much call the s50 a pre processor and the a50 the amplifier. Although you're completely fine to use the a50 by itself. The s50 has more options and connections but needs an amplifier of some sort. In this case the a50
Does that speaker thingy adapter come with the unit?
Yes
If you use one of the audio in ports will either unit then transmit that audio to the other units?
S50 will send signsl to A50 but not vice versa
@@Kpaceguy Amazing! Thanks. I've been trying to figure out how to get analog sources into my houses system and you may have just cracked the whole case for me lol
@@reynoirjr I've been scouring the Arylic website and UA-cam videos all day to figure exactly this out - thanks for asking the question and getting the answer! Have you tried this out? I'm trying to get audio that is currently stuck in my living room coming from my old Onkyo receiver out to the other rooms without wires...I have a Zone 2 output which connected to an S50 Pro + should be able to transmit to speakers around the house connected to A50+s (or even A30s for that matter)?
@@shehandesilva7530 ok so i tried it... It does work... HOWEVER the input has no audip controls on it so if the "audio" isnt coming out of a device with an amp or volume control its going to be "low" compared to sound sent from their app. But it does work.
@@reynoirjr many thanks! I think that shouldn't be an issue in my case but will think through it before taking the leap!
Can I use A50 with active speakers to give them Bluetooth and WiFi connection?
You can with the s50
Is there anything to be gained audio quality-wise by including the pre amp in the mix? The A50+ is capable of streaming by itself and of driving the speakers
What does the S50+ bring to the table? Different DAC.....?
Ehh I'm sure there is on paper but it's miniscule to the ear
Don't gorget S50 pro can be used as a Pre-amp function
It's possible to pair this with a smart tv / Chromecast as well? Let's say when watching Netflix is the tv able to use the a50 🧐🤔🤔
Yes optical out
@@Kpaceguy awesome, thanks for the quick response ❤️
How is the SOUND STAGES and QUALITY by this combination , especially on the Vocal ?
If you want to hear it I use every time I make a "the desk" video. It's a playlist down below. It's a phenomenal little setup
@@Kpaceguy yes, I really want to hear some music clips especially on Vocal, Would you mind send me the Link once you gotta ready for it. REALLY THANKS A LOT
Question my good man, if I have the 50+, can I hook it up to my Akio vintage receiver and power the front two speakers and let the receiver power the center channel and the rear speakers? (Onkyo)
Yes
@@Kpaceguy thank you so does that mean I can turn my 7.1 channel receiver into a 9.1 channel receiver
With the combination of the Two yes
@@Kpaceguy thank you so very much I definitely want this product
I got an A50+ and I have some constant and serious white noise in the background when the amp is running. I can hear it best when I mute the A50+ while it's playing. The music will disappear but the noise will stay in this case. Do you have similar issues or did I receive a defective device?
No none at all
@@Kpaceguy thanks for your fast reply
Does the a50+ need a powered subwoofer?
Nope
sorry noob here. can i just have the a50+ without the s50? i saw in Andrew robertson's channel that it works without. i wish u have talked about what value is there to have a s50? it doesn't do much for audio if I am not wrong, more like a glorified lcd display volumn controller. pls correct me if I am wrong, willing to learn.
Yes you can use it without. You can look at the s50 as a pre processor and the a50 as an external amplifier
As per some users of A50+ claimed that this Amp has the "hiss" sound problem when playing it. Do you meet this problem as well?
Not at all
Does this support pandora?
Yes
I was talking with a friend of mine, and he said you cannot hook the 850+ to your receiver and stream music, it doesn’t work that way will you please shed some light on this and how do I go about hooking it up?
You can with the s50 not the a50
@@Kpaceguy thank you so much for letting me know, I’m blind and I had a hard time navigating your website. Is there any possible way you can tell me about how much the S 50 cost?
As of now it's $219 USD
@@Kpaceguy you’re awesome thank you so much and have an amazing day
Thank you my friend
I still don't understand the difference between the two systems? Can anyone explain?
One is an amplifier all in one system (A50) and the other is like a central hub for all your connections that can be paired with any amplifier of your choice.
@@Kpaceguy thank you so much!!
@@onelogue no problem
