Carnival was a really good alternative to innova crysta because after discount it used to cost just below the second top model of innova and provide extra space.
But now since they launched innova hycross, the space issues are gone, now only only buyer they have are the one who cannot afford vclass

Toyota Vellfire costs 1 cr plus. So, potential Vellfire buyer will look into Kia option. This segment is altogether different. Comparing Kia with Innova Crysta is not fair. It should be compared with Vellfire.
At this price what are the other options..... Maybe a comparison is on the cards.
78 lakh on road for a kia. Seriously we are paying that much amount for a Kia😂😂

Nobody is gonna buy a 2.2L diesel for 80 Lakhs. Btw thanks to our country's tax policies for which we get cars for 2x of their price.

Yet the booking numbers are massive. If there is no competition, there is no aggression
I don't think India should be taking on the challenge to accommodate supersized cars on our roads given our population density and rise in car ownership. I, for one, am happy that big vehicles (SUVs, MUVs) are taxed higher as that is the correct policy for our roads
Toyota vellfire also have same kind of engine outputs almost 200hp and costs more than 1 crore
Own the 2021 Carnival its a beautiful product, plush ride, excellent price i bought it at. If this would come at around 45 lacs or so the takes would have been double.

And also its not assembled in india so the 100% tax duty also applied to it
Kia should have launched Tucson competition Sportage and Hyundai verna competition Kia Cerato and Hyundai santafe competition Kia Sorrento. I know that sedan segment is not popular but the cars I mentioned are around 40- 60 lakhs but atleast it would sell in better numbers than ev9 and carnival
They did do Road trials in India but did not launch the Sportage
Was waiting for relaunch of carnival, but now looking at its price, no doubt it is over priced and started looking for other options to buy

Ngl I would happily buy their Carena for that matter .....that's a lot of money for a MPV....instead buy a Force Urbania Bus for 35 lacs still save a lot of money
Same like Nissan did the mistake on xtrail (on pricing) now Kia is following up with carnival.. really don't understand what they are thinking about the Indian market
So it has almost the same power figures as an XUV700 but with the added mass of Carnival!
For a 70lakh rupee car, Kia has gotten a lot of basics wrong. An engine that is heard from the inside, 2nd row seats that needs a lot of effort to move, a noisy ride, 3rd row which is not electrically foldable, 2nd row ac controls not accessible from all seats and this is a 7 seater car, than my Harrier is 6 seater car.
Now we know why Toyota Innova has been the best MPV for Indians.
2.2 diesel engine people in Delhi NCR might ignore this product. Kia should have bought plug in hybrid technology. In this car, nevertheless, it’s specious, Car for non-urban people

For around 26 Lakhs, one can buy an Urbania and spend the same amount of money in custom luxury interiors + enhanced exterior; the overall product would surpass this Kia any day!!! Just saying. 🤟🏼
The vehicle is "overpriced" because of our country's tax policies, not the manufacturers doing.
