@@nkanyisotshwete9547 I am sure the "recovery server could not be contacted" error message has nothing to do with the laptop date because macOS High Sierra is no longer part of Internet Recovery. Thank you very much for the video, but it didn’t work out for me. MacBook Pro 13 2017. Thanks to the commentators who explained that High Sierra is no longer supported and therefore a server error. Like everyone! =)
I’m stuck at macOS High Sierra

How to fix this issue? Any idea
@@faizulizwan8200 Friend, there is no way to fix it other than writing the image of High Sierra to a USB flash drive using the Apple instructions
I didn’t install High Sierra since it can’t be gotten from a MacBook using the standard method, so I made myself a USB flash drive with Big Sur
Searched on Google as "Create a bootable installer for macOS"
Good luck
There are also standard methods for reinstalling another system suitable for your Mac:
Command-R. When you press and hold these two keys at startup, macOS Recovery Mode will prompt you to install the current version of the last installed macOS operating system.
Option-Command-R. When you press and hold these three keys at startup, macOS Recovery Mode may prompt you to install the latest version of the macOS operating system that is compatible with your Mac.
Shift-Option-Command-R. When you press and hold these four keys at startup, macOS Recovery Mode may prompt you to install the macOS operating system that came with your Mac or the closest available version.
same question here, did you solve the problem?
@@xinyuni7751 you need another installer from usb drive or external drive to install it.i go to laptop services shop to do for me.
@@xinyuni7751I’m trying to figure this out too!

how do i get off the terminal screen?
Great video. Easy to understand and even better it worked. Thanks 🙏
Doesn’t work for Big Sur
hello please can you help me I am using bluetooth mouse and keyboard couldn't type anything and when I reset the system it stuck at flashing a computer and mouse
Not working for me as of this day. 😭
The video is fine and all, but the 2 tips on wifi connection and date correction didn not work at all on my MPB late '11. As for others comments in this video, I agree that it seems that MacOS High Sierra is no longer available for Internet Recovery. Need more options to make this work. The final result is the same "Recovery Server Could Not Be Contacted".
Did you find a solution I have the exact problem
@@nkanyisotshwete9547 no solution. I quit it.
@@nkanyisotshwete9547 I am sure the "recovery server could not be contacted" error message has nothing to do with the laptop date because macOS High Sierra is no longer part of Internet Recovery. You can try a few more attempts. When you restart your laptop, you will see the globe (it will also promote you to connect to the internet. Before or after connecting, keep pressing "command + option + R" for few more times or hold these keys for more than 20 seconds, either in the beginning or in the middle of restarting the process. In my case, after this key-pressing process, my screen showed itself the macOS Ventura setup. It took about 30 minutes to load the installation files and finally, I managed to reinstall it. Hope this will work for you.
@@amughul THANK YOU!!!!! THIS WORKED FOR ME
Sir can you please tell me when to press the buttons for 20 secs
