Dude honestly you know how to explain things extremely well. All the other videos i watched and people i spoke to were miscommunicating the game and scoring system. You've layed out and detailed every aspect in a calm collected manner and i respect that kinda teaching af. I'm big on puzzle games and puzzle sports such as dominoes, card games, bar games. U should make more videos teaching different types of table / barroom games. Thanks man.
Yes this is a very good video the only thing is the clicking of the Domino's hurts my ears cuz I do have my earpieces in I am looking for how to play the game of 5 Domino fives do you have that video
One thing I would suggest when playing dominos, is that before you play, discuss the rules you play by. For instance with a games of 5's, on a opening hand most people I've played only allow the highest double to start, not a 4/6 as in this video. If you play only allowing ten points to open then a double 5 is the only scoring opening move. Also if no one scores and you win the opening hand you get zero points due to not opening with at least 10 pts. However differnt people have differnt styles, and you don't want to get in a fight, and get shot. Happened in Vegas a few weeks ago.
Rory Lapidus you're absolutely right in the beginning of the game you should always start with the highest double usually the double six poses first, yes many people do play the game differently for instance that's how me and my homies always played 10 to get in after a few games in over here in the I E California cheers and enjoy and have fun!
Awe.... Thanks! It has been a minute( like decades) since I played bones. I was taught by my best friends Mom's girlfriend, who just got out of prison. We spent many nights playing bones or spades. I forgot how to keep score but this video brought it all back! Thanks again!
Appreciate it bro this is one of the games I've always wanted to learn how to play and this really helped out a lot plus teaching how to score because I didn't understand watching a live game how they were drawing the house like you did... I don't see how anyone can hate on this video or say that this wasn't an easy explanation because this is my first time ever learning about it and I picked it up just fine
Guud intro to the world of dominos homie...got buds from all over the world who ask me about this game they never heard of but see me play it all the time with my pops. Just shared the vid with some of them.
I've been all over UA-cam and I didn't know there was so many variations of the game. Like for instance I was always taught double sixes went down first on the first hand and if nobody had a double 6 then double 5 and so on Down the Line.
I was surprised to know that there was different ways of playing it as well, I've loved playing dominoes with my fam ever since i was a kid and my grandpa, cousins, and dad played it the same way. So i thought even else in the world played like us until my dad told me that different ppl play different ways and now that i see it i get it.
Man brought me back to the ol days! I taught my kids how to play its a great past time of thinking and ploting and talking smack. Also is it personal perference to use 9 dominoes on 2 player play? Thats what i do and 7 on 3 and up.
Quick question buddy about the street dominoes: You said its only end to end on the video you only showed us 2 player mode I want to ask since its a possible 4 payer game how does the end to end apply if we are 4 players? Are we playing the 2 ends only or 4 ends please clarify. its kinda tricky. South Africa is going on COVID-19 lock-down for 21 days starting on Friday I have a family of 4 hoping to add this game to our time passing schedule if you know what I mean.
Didn't even know "Dominoes" was a game. I have only know how to play "Big 5" which is what I have always considered domino/bones , with and without nick and biggest double goes first.
Mine has 55 dominoes and mine is up to the double nine and how you play is you stack up all the dominoes by 5 and you collect 2 5s that means ten for each and if you don't have any dominoes or the partners you steal one dominoe out of the stack and if you still don't have the number that your looking for one that matches the sides you keep it if you have three left to steal your not allowed to steal it anymore whoever has the less dominoes or have zero dominoes you win also my dominoes are different coloured by each number hope that's thought you a unique lesson
Thks.on the game big 5.i have a question. When some one dominos is it the same thing all over again wash the dominos and 10 to get in?Also what happens if both players dnt have 10 in there hand? Thks..
I had to pause your video to post this comment. Thank you for showing the popular way to play this game but your technically is gritty sandpaper (i'm yelling at my phone at you, lol). Just trying to see if anyone is explaining it the popular way, that's all. Fair job
In Spanish, we call the doubles, mulas, or mules. La mula de 6’s is the double six for ex. Your scoring system is too complicated. Just do sticks for each 5 pts and you can make the first ten point a large X or as you did a large cross and the other scores beyond this are small / = 5 or X = 10. Bubbles make it look like you’re playing tic tac toe. But whatever works I guess.
Sounds more complicated that chess which I'm really good at by the way. It would be helpful if you can point exactly what you are adding for the benefit of real learners like me. Otherwise good video.
Thanks for the great vid! In the first version of the game, if you are playing with 4 players, does the winner collect points from all 3 other players? And if they do, do you still play to 250? Thanks!
Oh, thanks. I've been playing the way it says on pagat.com which is to draw lots, whoever draws the highest domino goes first (and they play any domino from their hand). And whoever 'dominoes' goes first next round. If the game is blocked, lots are drawn again. I like to play it this way.
The person throwing the domino gets the points. The objective is to reach 250 points (in a game of big-5). If you can't play a piece, you pull dominoes from the boneyard until you pull a piece that is playable.
My dad passed away in 2019. My mom brought me his domino set, today. Thank you for making my year. Happy 2022!

I wish every time I wanted to learn something that I could find a video like this one. Good job.
Yes this is a very good video the only thing is the clicking of the Domino's hurts my ears cuz I do have my earpieces in I am looking for how to play the game of 5 Domino fives do you have that video
Huh? Really? I was totally lost in his explanation on how to play.
I LOVE playing this game in Red Dead 2!! Hosea always beats me though!!

Yeah when playing big 5 my family starts with 5/5 or highest double.
This is the best explanation I've found on how to play dominoes. Thanks mate.
I have always wanted to learn how to play this game but always thought it was very very difficult. Thanks for explaining in very easy terms.
I must be a total idiot because I didn't understand it at all.
Awe.... Thanks! It has been a minute( like decades) since I played bones. I was taught by my best friends Mom's girlfriend, who just got out of prison. We spent many nights playing bones or spades. I forgot how to keep score but this video brought it all back! Thanks again!
Clearly explained. Well done! I learn things better when I physically see what's going on.
Dude, I love this video. Super chill and informative. Thanks for the lesson!
Great, never had anyone that would take time to teach me and be patient to allow me to learn how to play, out to get'em now!

Great video. I haven't played in years. I don't think we ever kept points that way. Very interesting. Thanks again 👍👍😀

Thank you! The method to add up points is brilliant!
Well explained about 5 up! Thanks
Man brought me back to the ol days! I taught my kids how to play its a great past time of thinking and ploting and talking smack. Also is it personal perference to use 9 dominoes on 2 player play? Thats what i do and 7 on 3 and up.
Such a helpful video!!! Thanks for sharing.
I watched a bunch of domino videosa and your was great. it made everyting clear and to the point.
Thx sir! Very nice explanation
Thank you for posting this video. I have been trying to figure out how to play dominos. Now I finally get it.
Thank you for this video. Very helpful to teach my kids.
Love this game. We play a lot and always score on a cribbage board. Scoring is quite easy then,
what happens if you pass in straight dominos? do you pick from the boneyard or is it your opponents turn? and if both passes/stalemate?
Good explanation
Thank you for showing this video I loved it
Great explanation thanks got it.
Explained perfectly
Explained perfect
Thanks bro ima keep watching this till i get it again i forgot the rules i haven't played since i was like 14 im 35 now
Awesome video/tutorial bro.
Awesome
for 5 up, does only the opening play require a score of 10 or every single player can only jump in with an initial score of 10 of their own?
Legit! Thanks SV!
Big six always went starting and 10 Point to get on the board.
Can you play the opposite players end? In the first game demo? Or do u have to stay at your own end
Thanks I asked a old head to teach me before I turned 25but he was on bs. 2 years later I'm just gonna teach myself and son over the summer.
Nice vid, thanks
In All Fives, is a double always played across the line of dominoes, and is any double a spinner?
That's a nice set of bones, where did you get them?

I have a question on the 5up. Do the dominos ever run out before someone gets 250? How many can play?
great video!! :)
Tilly in RDR2 kinda brought me here
Fives is my favorite domino game
Didn't even know "Dominoes" was a game. I have only know how to play "Big 5" which is what I have always considered domino/bones , with and without nick and biggest double goes first.
How do you decide which one is the best move?
Mine has 55 dominoes and mine is up to the double nine and how you play is you stack up all the dominoes by 5 and you collect 2 5s that means ten for each and if you don't have any dominoes or the partners you steal one dominoe out of the stack and if you still don't have the number that your looking for one that matches the sides you keep it if you have three left to steal your not allowed to steal it anymore whoever has the less dominoes or have zero dominoes you win also my dominoes are different coloured by each number hope that's thought you a unique lesson
Dude i also really play that domino
Thks.on the game big 5.i have a question. When some one dominos is it the same thing all over again wash the dominos and 10 to get in?Also what happens if both players dnt have 10 in there hand? Thks..

Thaaaanks!!
CAN YOU DO MORE MORE THEN ONE SPINNER? ALSO THE SCORING SEEMS EASIER WITHOUT THE O JUST X REPRESENTING 10 WOULD BE EASIER I THINK
Sounds more complicated that chess which I'm really good at by the way. It would be helpful if you can point exactly what you are adding for the benefit of real learners like me. Otherwise good video.
For straight dominoes, when you run out of bones, how many do you redraw?
I think you say domino and dont have to pick anything else up
Thanks for the great vid! In the first version of the game, if you are playing with 4 players, does the winner collect points from all 3 other players? And if they do, do you still play to 250? Thanks!
What's the size of your dominoes? They look perfect.
What brand/type of dominoes are you using?
TAKE THAT ABİGAİL!
Thanks
واو🌷
Domino's is my favorite game
Seems like their are so many little variations.
Okay I see now my bad just woke up :/ Thanks (y)
♥️
hi where to buy such a domino?
Sorry just a little worked up. This vid was pretty good
Wow
Bro do one in Spanish for my Amigos and iOS and Tia’s
This is the best easiest way to learn
how to know if someone wins in the first lesson??
How do you decide who goes first in All Fives? And in the next round who goes?
brydon10 the person with the highest double in his or her hand goes first
Oh, thanks. I've been playing the way it says on pagat.com which is to draw lots, whoever draws the highest domino goes first (and they play any domino from their hand). And whoever 'dominoes' goes first next round. If the game is blocked, lots are drawn again. I like to play it this way.
What if no one has a 10 (6|4) to start in big five?
In the first game of "straight dominos" If no one has the "6" in the 7 dominos drawn. What is the next step?
I think you just play the next highest number you happen to have.
I don't do spinners all day.
That's when you collect points... who gets the points? what is the objective? what if someone can't play a piece?
The person throwing the domino gets the points. The objective is to reach 250 points (in a game of big-5). If you can't play a piece, you pull dominoes from the boneyard until you pull a piece that is playable.
You said no Spinners but your last turn on the first game was a spinner am I correct
I'm only question that because I'm on this video right now trying to learn how to play so I can play with my daughter
Peace
Sitting here looking through all his shit like a yard sale... how much for the nerf gun
OK
AHAHAH
What if nobody has a 10 to start?
why did the blank 1 have to go side ways
jennifer sellers cause it's a double
Got to say the scoring method is too complicated by far, noughts & crosses? Just add scores as normal with numbers. Simple arithmetic.
How too add them by 5
ARE DOUBLES REQUIRED TO BE PLAYED CROSS WISE
Good question. I'm wondering the same. What is the answer?
