    Questions:
    Can you use a 9-* to start, since the * is wild?
    When you play your domino, say a 7 with a 7-*, can the opponent play any number on the *?

      In the other instructional video you can see a random number being played on a tile layed #-spinner.

    Can the double spinner be played as a single on a tree? If so, would the end spinner value be the same as the tree or can the next playet put anything?

    What is the proper sequence of play for a double played on a double? For example: double domino played (for example a 7); first of three is played next; second of three is a double (for example spinner). Does the third person play on the 7? Do the next three play on the double spinner? Or some other sequence?

    When starting the game and I need a nine nine or spinner and I put a double spinner down can the next 2 players put a 9 on the spinner or does it have to be a spinner to match?

    Just the video script for those who would rather read it:
    How to play Spinner! Spinner is a spin off from Dominos, If you love Dominos, you will love Spinners! It’s almost the same thing but with an interesting spin added to the game. It’s a 2-8 player game, the more players the merrier! Though in this demonstration we will only have 2 players. To begin with, dump out the contents of the box. There you will find instructions, dominos, and score sheets. What makes this game different from Dominos are these awesome Spinners! Which also happen to be the same as wilds and can be used as any number. This game will be Bob vs Jill! Each game will take 10 rounds to complete. To begin the game, flip all the Dominos face down and shuffle well. Then each player takes 7 Dominos and puts them in their hand or anywhere you want just so that other players cannot see them. The remaining Dominoes will be your draw pile. Now you are ready to start! The first round starts with a 9/9. Which means that the first Domino placed must be a 9/9 or a Spinner/Spinner. If none of the players have either of those doubles, pick a person to start first and start drawing one Domino at a time until one person gets the needed numbers. If you draw the right Domino you may put it down right away. Once the first double is placed on the table the next 2 players have to place their Dominoes on either side of it. To do that, one side of your Domino must have the same number as the one on the table or you can use a Domino with a Spinner if you have it. After those initial 3 Dominos are placed, every player can now take turns putting down any matching Dominos from their hand onto any of the endings. One Domino per turn. If you don’t have a matching Domino, draw one from the draw pile and if it’s a match, you may put it down right away. Otherwise your turn is over. And here is the most interesting part! Whenever a player puts down a double, the next three Dominos played HAVE TO match that double, or like we like to call it, build a tree! Until that tree is built, players cannot place their Dominos anywhere else. As you will notice, the table Bob and Jill picked is a little small for this game. So keep that in mind when you play. But during game play, when you place Dominos you may make turns in the path if you choose to. The round ends when one player runs out of Dominos in their hand. The other players then count all the dots on their remaining Dominos and that will be their score for that round. Here we see that Bob scored a 0 and Jill Scored a 3 for round 1. The objective of the game is to get the LOWEST score. Also, it’s important to mention that Spinners are worth 10 points each. After the scores are recorded, flip all the Dominos face down again, shuffle well, draw 7 Dominoes each, and begin round 2! If no one has an 8/8 or a Spinner/Spinner, the player who won the last round gets the honor to draw first. Once the right double is drawn, you can then start building your pattern! Don’t forget that Spinners can be used as any number! Round 2 done. Jill wins the round and scores 0! And Bob scores 4 points. A few more rounds go by and here is what the scores are looking like. A couple more rounds to go! An important thing we forget to mention earlier is that when a Spinner/Spinner is played, each player must put down a Spinner OR the number that was placed right before the Spinner/Spinner. Also, when you are building a tree, you cannot place a double as one of the 3 Dominoes. Well and now we fast-forward to the end! The last round wasn’t so hot for Bob. Jill put down her last Domino and this is what was in his hand. That Spinner/Spinner alone is worth 20 points! Here are the final scores! Jill wins! And if you are curious, here is an example of a 5 player game! Anddd, to make things a little more interesting you could keep track of record setting games and scores as well! Thank you for watching! If you have any questions, let us know! Enjoy the game!

    What happens when a player plays a double but doesnt havevthat number and the bonepile is empty. But, other players have the number. Can they finish the double? If so, what happens to the player who initially played the double but couldn't finish it. Is he out of the game or can he play on the double that was finished by other players? Thank you!

    At the start of the game of spinner or throughout the game, and no one having the doubled numbered tile or double spinner tile to start the play, does everyone pick up a tile at the same time to see who has it, or does it go around to the left one by one until that double spinner or the doubled number tile is drawn.

    • @WordofAdviceTV
      @WordofAdviceTV  7 років тому +1

      You go around one at a time until someone draws it.

    If the tile is a three and you have a three with a spinner, do you have to use the end with the three, or can you place the tile using the spinner?

    • @WordofAdviceTV
      @WordofAdviceTV  4 роки тому +1

      You can do it either way :) Of course putting the spinner to the three is a better choice, otherwise the next player can put down whatever they want since spinners are basically any number.

    Ok, I got a really great question! I have been all over the Internet and UA-cam but haven’t found the answer!
    It’s my play and I only have 1 domino left and it’s a double/double, can it be played?

    • @WordofAdviceTV
      @WordofAdviceTV  5 років тому

      Yes you can. You just cannot place a double on a double. (if the player before you just placed a double)

    If a player plays the double spinner (during the game, not the beginning), say as a six, and the next player to go only owns the real double 6's can they play that to satisfy the double spinner 6 or do they have to draw?

    • @WordofAdviceTV
      @WordofAdviceTV  6 років тому

      They would have to draw. A double cannot be placed on a double.

    Do you have to play a double as a double or can you play a double as a single? (if you have none of that same number in your hand it wouldn’t make sense to play it as a double)

    • @WordofAdviceTV
      @WordofAdviceTV  4 роки тому +2

      Even though it is kind of self-sabotage, if you play by the rules you have to play it as a double. There is no option of playing it as a single.

    HOW MANY TILES ARE IN A COMPLETE SET?

  • @tylerkerst7718
    @tylerkerst7718 4 роки тому +1

    What do you do if a double is played near the end of the game, the bone pile is depleted and the “tree” can’t be completed? All players still have a few tiles left but none have the number of the double or any spinners left.

      In that case the round is over and everyone tallies up their points. Whoever had the least amount can start first in the next round.

    In a recent game, we were on the "six" round. None of the players had the double-six, so the double-spinner was played. As mandated, the next two plays were sixes off the original domino. Later, a third leg was played off the original double.
    Towards the end of the game, one player drew the double-six from the boneyard. The only exposed six was off the original domino. Some at the table felt that this was a legal play; others did not (citing the doubles cannot be played on doubles rule). Which is correct?
