Nice. It seems that the design would favor a battery or an engine. (I am not sure where the carb goes though)

    Hi Mick.
At first service, would it be a suggestion that the pulleys that are removed, that some copper slip is applied on the shaft for later on services help?
Actually apply copper slip on everything you've removed as it'll probably be required to be removed later on.
And there is no such thing as a 5 minute job, unless it's writing out the invoice 🤣

Mick. Do you do a cleaning / adjusting service if I were to send you my allett classic carb on my mower? Not confident to do it myself in case I break the pins etc. wondered if you’d do it for a cost? 👍🏻

What a load of rubbish, crap design!. Why not put a cutout in flange of the side plate just above the handle, & then put the spanner flats on the shaft behind the top drive pulley?. That way, you dont have to take out 6 bolts & remove top cover.
The plastic end cover would hide the cut out when in place, stopping the ingress of debris. It sounds a bit tinny as well.

How often are you going to be changing the belts? Once a year?

@@ALLETTMOWERSUKStill a lack of thinking from allett. Belt duration & change time is irrelevant. I will not be changing belts on any allett, i bought a cobra cylinder mower last year!.

@@ALLETTMOWERSUKI enjoy using my cobra. Obviously, i have not had to do any belt change yet. It is a good quality machine, others have tried it & they like it also.
There is one chap who is a professional, in the next village who tried it, & he is extremely impressed. He owns an allet petrol mower. He cuts sports grounds, cricket pitches etc. He stated that he is going to buy a cobra like mine & sell on the allett. The only minus is it’s weight!. But after your stupid replies, i will not be buying any allett product any time soon.
So, to put it in a nutshell, just piss off & take your qualcast derived copies with you!.
