The Only thing I will add... If your CVs go out (if they are leaking from boot... or you hear the clicking at low speeds). Take a look at your struts. If you remove struts it makes the rest of this job much easier. When I did my car (9 yrs old and 140,000mi)... I ended up doing CVs, Brakes and struts. It took my entire saturday and $500 in parts... but same amount of work would cost me 2,500 at a shop. Ohh and get a impact driver and torque wrench, there are electric ones ... will save you a lot of effort. Ohh I also swapped out tranny fluid, that was sunday.
Great video.. since this is a CVT what type of transmission fluid would you use as replacement fluid. I imagine that is a whole nother video since there is usually no transmission dipstick. Thanks Nissan.
How do you know if your CV Axle needs replacing? I hear a clicking sound while driving that sounds like it's coming from that area. No visible damage to CV joints. Sound happens all the time not just while turning. Can't figure out what it is.
How much does it cost to have someone pay to do this? Not sure I have the right gear I may have to buy tools so I am wondering if it’s worth buying that tools.
i have 2016 altima i notice leaking on the boots near transmission i still drive the car do u think its dangerous tpo drive like that or should i replaced the whole axle

Great video. Thank you. What about the fluid loss with the cvt transmission? Ive always heard they were extremely temperamental.

Thanks! This video really helped.
Just measure in a empty bottle the amount of fluid you loose and add same amount
