Thank you for taking the time to review this bag. I haven't seen it mentioned but the blue/yellow/red ribbon clip inside the backpack is for a hydration bladder. Perfect for long hikes!
Have a look at the Mountainsmith Tour Lumbar bag. You can carry it as a shoulder bag and the hip belt wings hide away or as a bum bag. And with the optional strapless it can carry like a backpack. So three bags in one. At 9l it may be a bit big but I find it fits my needs when I don't want a backpack because I need flexibility when in the bush to move around. For a camera cube the tenba byob 9 fits (it is a bit tight) or the ape case large metro case (I modified an old one to take off some of the added straps). I also use the Day version of the Mountainsmith bags but this is huge!
Thank you Emily for that idea. I like that Fjällräven bag, its perfect size for me too. And I like the discrete look of it. I just recommend it to my friend.
Just seen this video - after the bag but out of stock, hope they have some soon as the price was also reduced. Great video - followed the link from your lens trinity vid.. 👏🏻👏🏻
I use a Deuter StepOut 22 day pack with a Peak Design camera clip on one of the straps. That's for my em5 and 12-45mm f4 zoom. If I want something longer I'll bring along the EM1 with my 75-300mm f4.8-6.7 big zoom which I put inside the pack until I'm ready to shoot.
That's a nifty idea Emilie. I just use a Domke F-5XB shoulder bag. It snugly fits my EM1.2 with the 12-100 mounted, with space for a small prime. It's discrete and lightweight, and my kit for a quick outing or where photography is not the primary purpose. If I'm out for an extended period, or need space for rain jacket, water bottle, snacks, etc., I break out my Mindshift Photocross 13 sling bag.
@@EmilieT I like it very much. It’s not as bulky as my Mindshift Backlight 18L, lying against my back with a fairly flat profile, swinging forward when I need to access it. Inside, it will take as many as two full size M43 bodies (EM1.2 & OM1) with two Pro zoom lenses attached (12-100 & 100-400), a travel tripod, a water bottle and a light jacket. The strap is not padded, so I generally won’t overpack it, using the Backlight if I’m carrying that much gear. The bag is made of wetsuit type material, so it’s fairly rain resistant.
I did a lot of research looking for a bag for my OM-D E-M5 Mark III along with the 12-100. I wanted the kit to fit with the lens hood attached. The Think Tank Mirrorless Mover 20 fits the bill perfectly.
I think you just showed me my next bag. 😊 Although when I travel I’m trying to use very small lenses so I can fit them in jacket pockets. Not having a bag can be very liberating, as long as you like very small lenses.

Useful video Emilie. I use both camera bags and various size ordinary back packs. And for my OM-1 and 150-400mm lens I used a Manfrotto tripod bag 😂😂. This looks like a useful “camera bag” 👌😊. The bag just depends on the equipment and what you are shooting and where and how you are going to do the photography / video
I will try find the size and product number of the Manfrotto Tripod Bag. I can put the 150-400mm lens with hood mounted and camera attached in the bag so just have to lift out and shoot. I also have a small plastic box in the bag containing spare batteries, red dot sight, lens cleaning cloths etc and there is still room for the x2.0TC.
The dimensions I requested were: Height: 18 cm, Width: 27 cm and Depth: 12 cm. I used this company to make the bag: www.etsy.com/listing/1195824496/bag-organizer-insert-for-bag-purse?click_key=a84a5296c1528e3083a1cdf3829aae0d13016b2f%3A1195824496&click_sum=ecc372d4&ref=shop_home_recs_1&pro=1&frs=1&sts=1
This just looks like an exceptional bag option for hikers and bikers, and many thanks for this review. As a mostly walk-around shooter rather than a hiker or biker, I rarely carry a bag. Keeping things as light as possible, I have a zoom mounted on the camera and tuck a prime lens or two plus extra battery in a jacket pocket or two. If I need more storage, I wear my old Domke vest, which has more pockets than I can ever fill. If I carry more than one camera, I have one on a neck strap and the other on a sling that rides on my hip. Lots of options; just a matter of what works best for you given your shooting style.

Yes, that is true! There is a hydration bladder. I never used one but the bag definitely accommodates one.
Just got mine. Taking my OM-1 with two lenses on my trip to Spain.
Enjoy your time in Spain. I am hoping to go there soon. It is such a beautiful country.

Good choice it's a brand that have been around forever here in Sweden and really good quality.👍
Very practical Emilie 👍 a small pack for a small system, I adapted a across the body sling bag to hold my Olympus camera and lens perfect for me.
