- We continue our snowbird trip south into Oregon across the Columbia River on the Astoria-Megler Bridge. Two Harvest Host stopovers are sandwiched with a walk in spectacular Cannon Beach. Footage from River Run RV Park on the coast of Washington State and the Blue Heron French Cheese Company in Tillamook, Oregon.

The Stephanie Inn is a fantastic place (Cannon Beach where you spent your anniversary) . My neighbors use to own the land it is built on. We had our 10th annual World Series campout just down the road in Manzanita at Nehalem Falls SP. Pretty wet 3 out of the 5 days though.
Cannon Beach definitely holds a special place in our hearts as well... my wife and I were married on Canon Beach 35 years ago!
Nice beach shots. We also get asked why we dont get a bigger rig, our 27 ft passport with opposing slides is lots of room for the two of us. Easy to tow and easy to get into spots a big rig cant. Hope the weather is good for the king tides viewing for you.
Vicki and I are sitting here watching your video on the big screen just wanted to drop you a note and say thank you we don't get out that way as much as we used to so you're always reminding us of Good Times that we spent on those beaches

Blue Heron is great! I’ve stayed there several times as I moved up and down western US. Safe travels!
They do make good Brie! I stayed there a few years ago. Only think when feeding Max at 5:00 PM the geese saw him eating and didn't like that. They were headed straight for him on attack and I had to go out and be big and scary. So it wasn't much of a stretch. A good bottle of white a baguette and some brie man that's like eating like a king!

A nice trip down memory lane for you both. That's awesome you can park your RV right next to that beautiful beach. That must be a pricey park. Do you ever think of getting a larger rig? I know you've had this Cougar for years. Just wondering if you ever get itchy for more space inside.
No, we like the layout and quite used to the amount of space after 13 years. Seems to be plenty for just the two of us. Has a large 2700 lb cargo carry capacity. More than many of the huge new trailers. Any bigger and it would hinder us getting into some nice camping places such as State and National Parks with 30 foot limits. Also it lighter, cheaper to tow around. So the trade off isn't worth it.
Just watched the Cannon Beach episode. Loved it because it brought back memories of our trip to Oregon. I really liked the music played during your dashcam footage. Can you share whose recording that is? Thanks again and safe travels.
