Well, in general i share your points of view. I`m Millencolin fan since 1997 and i have never could let from this band. I know about the discussion of Millencolin`s first albums. I also like these older songs, written by guys in their early twenties who are just expressing a youthful life style, just hanging out, having fun or do skateboarding. The substance of its songs is more easy not too deep.- Maybe life was more easy in the 90s?! - Even today I like that sound but it depends on my mood. You are right, Pennybridge Pioneer was a benchmark and is still today their best and most completely album. The sound, the vibe, the lyrics are written in its best. Unfortunately Millencolin could not gain such a massive album again. No Cigar or Penguines and Polarbears are punk rock songs for eternity.- Home from Home was a kind of break or cut in the style and Millencolin started to chase more a rock sound. On that record Battery check, Black Eye oder Kemp are great songs! In Millencolin`s following discography "Machine 15" was their weakest one. I agree. The last two albums were strong again. In my opinion even "SOS" has really great songs: "SOS", "For Yesterday" or "Nothing". By far this is Millencolin`s most political album and it is not difficult to missunterstand the criticism directed to Trump, climate chance, refugees` situation, ...... Maybe life on this planet has become more difficult. For my ears this album is mixed too much in studio and in some points not pure enough anymore.
