Colossus learning that sometimes you need to fight dirty from Deadpool is the greatest character development in any of the X-Men movies.
Yeah. Finally he learned sometimes ya gotta fight dirty to clean a mess up
I wish they didn’t have him fighting a woman. You don’t hit a woman like that. You just don’t.
@@iwishiwasthomasshelbyif a woman throws a car at me I’m not gonna feel bad if I have to punch her as hard as I would punch any man. I’ll be too busy trying to run away hoping she doesn’t throw another car at me.

Of all of the ways Colossus was animated in the X-Men universe, the way they did him in Deadpool was the most accurate to his comic-book appearance, which is cool imo. Also seeing him battle Juggernaut is a wave of nostalgia from the 90's show as well as probably one of the funniest fight scenes in any Marvel movie bc of the way they did it!
Even though Juggernaut would probably wreck Colossus.
@@justincummings8557 Juggernaut's power is of magical origin and he's a lot more powerful than he appears in Deadpool 2, so I'd say yes, he would.
Colossus has beaten juggernaut in comics a few times and colosonaut when colossus was given Higgs powers he was even more powerful
@@mlinger18 Only when Cytorrak is mad and limits Juggernaut's powers.
@@fluffylittlebear Well, if you think that Juggernaut was locked in prison and bringing no destruction to Cytorrak, it'd make sense that he would be nerfed in this fight. Still, Colossus only won the fight because of the assist

Colossus is just such an endearing character in the Deadpool movies, it feels so refreshing. He's not quipping and joking around, but he's not stone cold serious either. Well, he KIND of is, but in a warmer, more endearing way. He cares, not just about protecting people, but also about other heroes and even villains too. Plus his voice perfectly fits. I'm sure he was hell on the CG artists, but I'm glad we got a proper Colossus in movie form.
It's funny how long it's been to the point where just a kind and by the book hero is refreshing.
its funny is thats how he is in the original comics
its crazy that the 1960s/1970s had a russian character be kind and not evil in a mainstream comic book series.
Pisses me off that Colossus is supposed to be Russian. These directors didn’t even bother to give him a Russian accent in the second X-men movie. I’m glad they fixed that in Deadpool. They did the same thing to Banshee in first class; he’s supposed to have an Irish accent
yeah true, but I happen to like the twist for Banshee in First Class.
In Brazilian dubbed version, they give the accent 😊
No one was done right in those movies. It was just wolverine, everyone else were just cameos. Cyclops was supposed to be the leader
Reading only ur first sentence I thought u were being racist😂
@@ZachofPotatoes732Cyclops is sidelined in every X-Men adaptation... I think only "Evolution" put him as a true leader and that's because they changed Wolverine's story with Jean.
1:21 “Oh your poor wife.” LOL 😂
5:19 his organic steel arm was vibrating.
His body is coated in like a strong but liquid metal because if it was just steal he wouldn’t be able to bend or move like wolverine but on the outside
A nice touch.
Deadpool hitting Colossus perfectly exemplifies what happens if Superman attempts to save someone when catching them from a fall
No. Superman can slowly decelerate them by matching their speed minus a little bit where they can handle. Don’t talk about it from a science perspective if you don’t know science at all. This is basic physics you learn even in high school smh
@@iwishiwasthomasshelby superman has a special power that covers him that stops him from killing someone by catching someone. its also why he can lift a plane in flight and stuff like that
From a scientific perspective, the idea of Superman catching someone without harm defies the laws of physics as we understand them. An object, or person, falling from a great height would have considerable momentum due to gravity. Stopping that momentum instantaneously would exert massive forces on the body, likely resulting in injury or death, akin to hitting the ground. However, if Superman could match the velocity of the falling person and decelerate them gradually, the impact could theoretically be lessened. Yet, the required precision and control to do this safely would be beyond human capability. This is where the fictional aspect of Superman's powers offers a solution beyond the realm of real-world physics.
@@iwishiwasthomasshelbyso basically superman acts like a spring? Or a trampoline?
@@x_sama5560 against women, he should.
One of my favourite X-Men members. Colossus is awesome
100% he definitely got the short end of the stick in xmen movies but atleast we have soem really cool fights with him in deadpool
You know he strong when he picking that big ass box tv by him self with one arm lol 0:45
That shit needs minimum 3 people to lift
ohh god, i feel bad about Colossus in the X-Men day of future past movies.. 😢
I share your feelings on this. On the plus side, he fought bravely till death for each scene. True courage. 🌟
I wish he had some weapons like vibranium sword to fight this sentinels.
Sad thing is. That kinda shouldn't happen. Colossus is meant to be near indestructable in that form. He gets done REAL dirty
Well, after that,he learned to fight dirty if the enemy I'd stronger than him
I never understood why they didn’t have iceman just freeze the sentinels and colossus destroy them in ice form before they had a chance to adjust
Deadpool put a lot of effort into animating Colossus. The one scene where he tried to punch Juggernaut only for him to grab his arm is a good example of this effort. 5:19 The metal actually recoils on impact.
The movie is hilarious no matter how many times you watch it, you won't get bored.
1:38 “This is embarrassing, please stay down.”
Have you ever heard of the one legged man in the ass kicking contest?
You ever hear of the one legged man in the ass kicking contest?
Colossus from Deadpool is the absolute best
Colosus slamming that woman into the car then the ground in deadpool gave me Hulk vs loki vibes in Avengers
I would love for the MCU to have Colossus wear his iconic Red and yellow X-Men suit.
deadpool colossus is the best depiction of colossus, no criticism
i like that last scene its the brutalist scene in xmen, they nearly get massacred by the sentinels
Storm And Iceman Died Too In The Movie
The part of the scene were sentinels ripped colossus in half is imposible...i mean those sentinels are not even in their steel form.
@@NBS-rk8bl DC had their Doomsday moment, Marvel thought "Let's raise the stakes by killing the toughest heroes to make the foe look deadlier". Neither studio has executed it well because they both took shortcuts with the source material, all so the plot and main cast can be elevated.
At least Deadpool put some thought into it.

Really depends on how 'strongest' is define
but he is probobly second to Wolverine when it comes to durability
No shit, captain obvious. You've saved the day once again.
Oh wait, just checked the channel. It's a bot.
Only thing I've seen destroy colossus so easily was the sentinels from X-Men days of future past

Colossus in Deadpool: I am here to serve as both a character in good faith and a dear friend to Deadpool ... *gets punched in the testicles*
I really hope he comes back in Deadpool 3 and have some time on screen with logan and wade at the same time 😍 I would love that ❤
ever since i was 13 ive always loved Xmen's rendition of him especially in xmen DOFP his sound effect when transforming is "chefs kiss" but im sad that he is underused as compared to the comics in XMEN. BUT THANKS DEADPOOL FOR GIVING MY COMRADE PETE THE SPOTLIGHT
They were really big on pulling him apart in Days of Future Past huh
did him so dirty
Those sentinels are not even in steel form, if you think of it...its imposible for them to ripped colossus...oh i get it, its just a fictional film.

WHAT-
I ALMOST NUT- I MEAN DIED
I just don’t understand how his very brief scene in X-2 got it right, then for the next few movies, got it so wrong with his overall look. He looked like an overdone T-1000 stand in. Deadpool got his character and look down perfectly. If he’s a member of the Disney X-Men team, he’s GOT to be very close to his representation in Deadpool.
The worst part was that he was just the height of a normal person lol, not colossal at all
@@LewisZillaAnd also, he didn’t have a Russian accent. 😭

"No Logan stop don't."
Actor energy on the level of Willie Wonka watching a stupid kid.
I don’t understand why people hate The Colossus from The original trilogy, like, hes bigger than most of The cast, he can turn into steel and flesh whenever he wants, hes russian, and The cgi and The practical effects look good why do fans hate him?
First, he doesn't have a Russian accent like he does in just about every other depiction of him. Second, Colossus is called so for a reason, the dude is _massive._ While I personally have nothing against that Colossus, the Deadpool version is much better in both character and accuracy.
It’s a unique take but that only really works when it’s better
He barely does anything and is a small guy who's there to die.
that f%%ng Days of future past movie killing our Beautiful Siberian Metal teddy bear twice was the biggest of all insults to my X-Force heart
now having him shoveling that electric wire up to JUGGS butts is the one badass way to portray COLOSSUS proper
“Yeah it’s right next to the prostate, or is that the ONNN switch 😏”
🤣🤣
Doesn't he also has a minor healing factor, cause Juggernaut broke his wrist then he used it in the same fight when wrapping a fence around it
It could be, although it was never explained. It may also be that when he returns to his human/normal form and transforms back to his metallic form, the wounds heal.
Yes he has healing and magic doesn’t effect him
@@mlinger18 really, magic doesn't affect him?
@@faith4657 I think his metal skin is protecting him from magic, similar to juggernauts helmet
@@salle6307 that's pretty cool ability.
You know, I'm really grateful we got Colossus, of all X-Men, to be the one to be a main character next to Deadpool. The character that was very intricate to get right, requiring like 3 people for this one metal man. They didn't take an easy route and just use a regular human X-Man.
They thought "no, we WANT Colossus". Brilliant.
4:51 😂 shiny Gandhi
That Big CGI Fight was 20X better than modern Marvels CGI.
I really like him for his pure and nice heart like Superman.
And you ALWAYS MAKE IT HARD!!!
One thing i learnt from deadpool 2 is that sometimes it's okay to fight dirty
the problem with the original actor Daniel Cudmore as Peter Rasputin/Colossus is that he never sound like he was Russian he was just an American version of the character just like scarjo as black widow. he had the same issues that Anna Paquin as Marie/Rogue had when she never spoke with a southern accent. that was my only problems with the original trilogy.
Scarjo's Black Widow is Russian and in her case, it makes more than enough sense that she has no accent. Her backstory is all about being an infiltrator, being a spy etc. She was quite literally trained since she was a child. It makes total sense that they would train the accent away.
@@Milleniummeister all the shows and media stuff of black widow that were faithful to the source material she speaks russian and was not mainly an avenger exactly well she was a part time avengers member but mainly she was still an agent and an assassin for S.H.I.E.L.D
@@maxdam4059 and None of what you said goes against the point I made
To be honest Deadpool version of Colossus is much better and it look like a giant metal Hulk with a Russian accent.
is actually makes sense. dude looks like a USSR era machine
It's good that they turned him into the big Russian bear that he was from Deadpool onwards.
First! I love Colossus
Colossus is dope as hell at first glance and on paper.... but he's just a glass cannon frfr 🤧
How is Colossus a glass cannon?
In the Comics,
- his durability is easily his best stat
In live-action film,
- 3:33 Nega's explosion was actually quite large, yet Colossus got up instantly after to carry Nega and Dust to safety
- DP Juggernaut could clear a massive hole into a bridge with a single palm, yet Colossus still got up to his feet after being rampaged.
- Cudmore Colossus is also insanely durable. Sentinels could easily hit through a wall of metal Megneto placed, yet Colossus could physically compete with them.
Glass canon? he's literally the opposite, horrible offense with insane durability and flexibility 😂
“Big CGI fight coming up” 😂
I do like how Colossus has a metallic voice filter in his armored form in the OG timeline films
4:04 there is a painting of Karl Marx in the bg🤷♂
Colossus fighting dirty would make him a better fighter ngl

Big Colossus and Big ❤
Excellent
I love the very realistic CGI of Colossus in the Deadpool films. Huge respect to Ryan Reynolds for bringing in funds for these films to make them as appealing to the fans as possible.
I love how Colossus learns from his fight with Angel Dust, she's way smaller than him yet was able to beat him not just by matching his strength but also through her agility which is why he's hot a lean build in the sequel. Must have beeb a hell of a diet.
Man is literally the man of steel
he's resistant to intense heat, he does not need to breathe when metal, and he adds 2 feet to his stature when he transforms.
Is there not any screenshots of him his human form instead of his steel form, in the Deadpool movies?
No he's always in his steel form in the DP movies
