Hi Ana, I have never tried to make my own steamers, but I just love to make things! And I just happen to have all the ingredients! I have quite a few essential oils for my diffusers, maybe I’ll mix a few scents together and create a “ signature scent steamer”! Thanks for the inspiration! Hugs, Heidi

Hi Ana, I’m very impressed - your steamers looked really professional. Actually, I was a bit sceptical about them at first. I had a couple come with some other things I ordered and I wasn’t impressed by those, they didn’t seem to do anything, just got washed away in the water! However, I expect yours smelt lovely so maybe I will try again (though I doubt if I will make any, that’s a step too far!). xx
Thank you Mags! You're so wonderful! I also ordered some that just washed away as well. The purple packaged ones are quite nice and that's why I wanted to copy them. I was skeptical as well and surprised how well they turned out! I hope you find some you like - it's a nice treat! 😊
You have the cutest personality. 😊 Isn’t citric acid made from black mold? 😮 I heard this recently and yikes. 😱 It’s suddenly in everything! But I really wanna do the steamers! So I’ll probably have to buy them if I can find some that don’t use citric acid.
Thank you! And you are correct - even though citric acid found naturally in fruit and such, it's mainly made by fermenting sugars like molasses by the mold Aspergillus niger. So for people sensitive or allergic to it, it may trigger a reaction. But it's general considered 'safe'. Everyone has a threshold on items they are comfortable with, so definitely don't use it if you're not comfortable. You can swap it out for cornstarch or arrowroot powder 😀 The steamers will be just less fizzy.
