This video is all about how I make my shower steamers. My first attempt was a bust: but this second attempt created beautiful, solid shower steamers that performed well in the shower! I'm so thankful for all the tips and tricks I got from the community. You all helped me so much!

The question I receive about shower steamers is. "How long does it last?" Well that totally depends on how you use it and how long you shower. Placing the shower steamer behind you in a bath tub shower may slow down the activation. For fast activation put the shower steamer directly under the water stream, or take a shorter 3 to 5 minute shower. Then put the used shower steamer on a dry wash cloth. Even if it falls apart the powder can still be used for another shower Also, for the maker, add cream of tartar or a clay and the shower steamer will last longer. Be very carful about adding oils, because falling is very dangerous and a shower is usually slippery any way, Use a bath mat.

Hi Jerika, thank you for sharing your journey with us. It’s a brave thing being out there. When making your steamers, rather than weighing each one separately, I like to put my mix on the scale and tare it out. Then scoop however much mix into the mould. So a 2 oz shower steamer would weigh out to be a negative 2 oz on the scale. That way you don’t risk spilling ingredients if your mould topples. I also find with evaporation/drying the steamers tend to lose around 0.15-0.2 oz when fully ready. So always good to be heavy handed. Blessings to you and Cale and keep on keeping on.

I use mine in a bag that hangs from my spout. Then I just tap it into my stream. Lasts for many showers.

Hi J! I use the moon cake presses to make all my bath bombs. I wanted to have both flat sides to have a design, so once the shaft is filled, I use another stamp to compress the powder into the shaft and create a design on the back. It works beautifully!

Like others I'd omit the oils, they really are not needed and a waste of product really. Just 1:1 BS and CA with kaolin clay, essential oils and menthol mixture. It will all stick together not to worry. 😉

Just an idea...could you use the tiny left over one in the kitchen sink using the faucet sprayer for a you tube demo? Next time maybe?

The moon cake press works so beautifully with making bath bombs and steamers. My kids love the flowers and different shapes. The one thing is the more detailed the stamp piece is the less likely your design will come out right.

I first was making these with my bath bombs as well and then soaps once I was comfortable with making things a decade ago. They were so awesome!

I don't use oils inmy shower steamers but you could add a little corn starch to help make them hard.

Love watching you grow and expand..no oils needed add cornstarch and they should harden enough you can handle them gently as soon as you make them dry quickly but can leave overnight and package..I sell mine in 2packs and singles..some customers like singles to buy for others and the 2 packs for themselves..variety packs sell well too

The only oil you need in there is the fragrance oil. Stick the steamer on the shelf and it lasts more than one shower!

I love the moon cake press for bath bombs. Although I wish it comes in a bigger size.

I don't add oil at all and I don't add any clays either that's a waste of product I just do a very basic recipe of baking soda, citrus acid, cornstarch, RA, and FO. Thank you for sharing.

I made a morning wake up blend that I left in crystal/powder form. Use a scoop in the shower and the water releases the steam. I chose to add pine e.o., ginger e.o., and lavandin e.o. with the menthol crystals. My boyfriend uses it to help open up his sinuses. I chose e.o.'s for energy as well

Love your video's! I was wondering about your steamers. Looks less complicated than I thought! I suffer from seasonal too. These would be AMAZING! Poor Cale, love his description! I hope all is well! All the rain y'all don't want in Canada, just send to Southern California. We are in a terrible drought. The only thing that thrives is the weeds!!! Until the next video, you and Cale have a wonderful weekend!!!🥰
