Hey, Rhonda .Hello from USA ;) quick question: it’s cold in Atlanta right now and warm inside with the heat on. No humidity. I did everything you showed in the recipe. They formed a shape in my hand, I kept adding which hazel to form them tighter and put them in silicone molds. But they fall apart as soon as I take them out. They feel like wet sand when I mixed them. But if I don’t add which hazel, the sand will be too dry. What am I doing wrong? I want to sell them but they are too soft. I added corn starch, cream of tartar together so they should be hard. Pls help I they need to work as I na going to sell them with my shower tea bags and I can’t get them to work. Thank you
These products are tricky like bath bombs . If you spray to much witch hazel they will go to powder. I have a new one at the moment so look that one up and the recipe is in that so tey that one. Ive not seen snow for over 26 years and not worked with that climate so im not sure.
Hi Rhonda, what size is that mould please? You say your steamers are 45-50g. I'm looking at these moulds but I'm after a weight of 70g. What size mould would you recommend for 70g weight? TIA
Hey Rhonda, apologies if this question has already been asked. I would like to find out what your suggestion would be. If someone is allergic to nuts, which oil could a person use instead?
Oh no. Mine are so hard that if they drop they don’t break. How is your humidity as that plays a massive part. Also are you adding the cream of tarta as that keeps them hard. Shower steamers are similar to bath bombs in that the environment plays a massive part of the process.
@@NelsonInteriorSoapery yes, it has been raining quite a bit, I do have a dehumidifier on. I will keep trying, the menthol crystal….do you weigh them before or after they are melted? Thank you!
@@PamelaMacDonald-z9s while I make them but add 10% on the total to what size you want as they will loose weight . Never make in bad rainy wether as they will fail
THANK YOU!!!! Very informative - I'm going to give them a try!!!

I use le moulds and i have 2 sizes in the square size.
Use the small one
Rhonda, could I use mica and poly 80 instead of oil and dyes?
You can try. You can use mica and you don’t need to use oil. That’s just what I’m used too
Hi Rhonda, my apologies if this question has already been answered elsewhere, but, may I ask where you found your steamer press/mould?
Sure that’s fine to ask. It’s from Le moulds lemoulds.com.au/
Hi Rhonda, at 10.15 you mention that 'after a little while the menthol crystals start acting differently' Just wondering what you meant by that?
Hi there. You will notice the mix gwts cold and sort of hardens a little. Its a strange texture
@@NelsonInteriorSoapery Oh gotcha, thanks :)
Your webpage is beautiful.
Awe thank you.. I am always trying to be better

You could try coconut liquid or olive or jojoba
