    Well! That was clever. I thought the table would need drastic sanding and re-staining. But no; Ana works her magic and hey presto - all is good! Brilliant stuff Ana.x

      Oh Mags, you're the sweetest! I look forward to your comment every week!!! The table would have been easier to fix if the top was solid wood. Unfortunately it had more of a plastic component to it and couldn't soak up the stain. Had this been real wood, you could completely hide the damage! Enjoy your weekend!

      I used Rustoleum 2X Ultra Cover Clear Spray in semi-gloss this time. I also have used Varathane Classic Paste Finishing Wax. I would be comfortable using any top coat over the finish.

      There are white furniture touch up pens you can use! They aren't only in stain colours. You can find them at Home Depot or Amazon.

    Why can't the restore finish be used on the acetone damage

      The Restor A Finish breaks down the existing finish, since the acetone had damaged and broken down the finish already I was worried I would do more damage. I didn't want to make the damage spot even bigger. 😊
