My neighbors liked "Hardwired" so much they thru a brick through my window to hear it better.
inkagiz 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol
Cliff would be proud
Without Lars there would be no Metallica, he is what holds the band together.
But now days he has lost the tempo
100% true
Fredrik Jelkefors he may have lost his tempo but also look how old the guy is.
@@fredrikjelkefors9336 Omg, of course he has lost some tempo. He is not 30 years anymore. Would'nt you understand why Wayne Gretzky doesnt have the same skills now as when he was 30 years old?
@Skip R but again without his ad James and him would have never met and then there would be no Metallica!!!
10:08 the clap is exactly to the beat of the last riff from battery xD
Varun Raviprasad I thought same thing 😂
It didn't noticed that
Mind blown
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 underrated comment
These are happy-tears that are rolling down my cheeks. All hail the true Gods of Music:
Metallica.
MrMetallidude you misspelled Dream Theater.
No - YOU misspelled Metallica.
Preach brother! No one has done what they have done
Metallee123 has dream theater gotten the polar music prize no i dont think so so STFU
Of metal music you mean? I wouldn't argue that. Of music period? Not even in your dreams.
I can't lie I love Lars
Meeeeee too!!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍
Of course
I just really love how this ceremony is so formal and prestigious, yet Robert pulls out a crumpled piece of paper to read his speech. Truly amazing lmao!
Thats so metal
And he (not literally) goes: go people, clap
Lars "The Godfather" Ulrich
We're all part of his family now.
Godfather of what?
Lars Corleone.
Any type of godfather or mobster, really. - Look at him. He is in is final form. This was the plan all along. XD
When we see other metal guys start dying off and he is only seen in tuxedos, we have to be worried.
dont know, sorry. I dont know who is Larsh Ulrick....
It's amazing, to me, all that Metallica have accomplished throughout these 37 years. I have about 34 years into the band as well, and whether you like/appreciate their music or not, it's hard to discount the doors they have opened and stigmas they have overcome for those that have followed. Congratulations, Guys! Well deserved indeed.
Dalebert very well deserved indeed. I watched these guys since the Cliff em all days man. Metallica to me is the greatest metal band of all time 37 years of metal.
Unlike the other great world-famous bands, from the Beatles to Led Zeppelin to Rolling Stone to Queen to Deep Purple to Iron Maiden, at least half of their discography is really low-level.
Jsak Champ In your opinion.
My heroes, forever! The reason I became a musician!
Kristoffer Karlsson Official feck off got no talent
killer Joe Righ back at you, pal! Have a nice day!
Congratulations Metallica....no band has never done as you guys...by far best Rock band ever!!!!
JM Holguin omg they never played rock. Its fukin metal.
Oh guys, come on, metal, rock and roll, thrash metal, grunge, punk, these are all rock genres, by now you should know that guys, dont ever say Metallica is not a rock band, are you telling me that metal is pop music?...of course they play rock especifically Thrash Metal in most of their albums.
Damian Kantyka "never played rock" .. OK.
Smart ones metal is one of the variations of rock anyone who says other wise aren't musicians
You get what you give
Thanks METALLICA
Lars looking like Hannibal Lecter
Chris Brunette i cant unsee it now lol
Lol
More like Oswald Cobblepot!
haha i was like, 'who does he look like' then i look at the comments and there it was!! lol
Lars Lecter XD
Roses are Red, Violets are blue, when i listen to Metallica, my neighbours do too. Congratz fellas, indeed you deserve this prize
Lars has always been a great speaker, and this was no exception. Almost couldn't take Rob seriously there, which was pretty funny, but he's also always had to speak for a band where most of the groundwork had already been laid before his time, even though he's been part of the band for a long time and is now their longest-serving bassist. Always great to see Metallica acknowledged by the mainstream, and across different countries.
When did Anthony Hopkins join Metallica
They deserve every bits of the fame they have. Every applause, every standing ovation, every prize out there. They are immense.
Lars’ hair. All party in the back lmao
Chambers4kills 99% of comments are pointless...
Chambers4kills You're more of a turd here... having to tell someone his comment is pointless. It may be, but it's funny and it's what he wanted to comment, that's what a comment is.
Chambers4kills Uhmm.. okay
None of the shit yall are saying is making sense lmao
LOL
Just look at these guys. James, Lars, Kirk (and of course Robert too), all of them are so nice, friendly, down to Earth people, who are smart too and have deep emotions and utterly intelligent thoughts about things in life as well, not only music. Yes, they had their rockstar mannerisms back then (who wouldn't have, after selling 100 millions records), but today what is left are true people with huge souls. God bless these excellent guys!
Cliff is looking down on this and smiling
Great great speech by Lars
My cuz got me into Deep Purple and I can't forget that day
Man, Metallica have changed my life, i love the band so much.
When you meet your inspiration 1:00
Metallica is not an icon. Metallica is an *ENTITY* that permeates light years beyond world wide and humanity. No matter how anyone feels about their personalities, Metallica earned that thing called "greatness." They truly deserve it. Thank God we were alive to have their music to deal with "this thing called life."
I am really impressed with what Lars said, and how he comported himself. He and Robert were most appropriate and respectful ... dare I even say, gracious in their receipt of the award. Lars is an ambassador for a lot of things ... he has been pigeonholed for the Napster stuff and drummers who want more technical fireworks ... but he is spot on, and brings passion to everything he does. This is a great clip, thanks for posting.
Lars looks like Antony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter.
killswitchlee123 exactly
Lars goes up on stage:
Umm...
He focking left the band!
lars and Roberts faces when they walked up on stage looks so happy😁
Metallica: 10/28/1981 - Forever.
💯% love Metallica 🖤🤟
💯% metal hilsen fra Danmark 🇩🇰🖤🤟🇩🇰
its sounds so prestigious with that accent it feels like im in 1800's music ceremony
Robert is crying omg. Well, I would too, given the circumstances
Roberts wife is so beautiful!!
They got to meet our knugis
Som att det är något att vara stolt över?
shallowlord Ja?
Självklart kungen är cool
Han är jävligt cool
Som någon som faktiskt mött och skakat tass med knugen, ja, han och silvia är coola som faaan.
Imagine showing this clip to Metallica in 1983
Lars is so humble.
He seems to have changed over the years.
MetallicA is in their mid 50's and still playing as hard as they did 20 yrs. ago !
W O W ...... 37 freakin years... in 2021 it's the 40th anniversary. just put that fact into your head everyone.. 40 years a band.. started like bunch of kids who wanted to get drunk and play rock n roll and transformed into this giant thing that we can't imagine not being part of our lives.. Always a fan.. Beautiful. Congratulations! #Metallica4ever
Well deserved, Metallica forever 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
The band has reach through time and still kicking ass . Well deserve.
Wow.. That clapping went on for ages!!
Lars is a damn good speaker.
It's nice to see their heroes in docting them . You could see the tears in both the eyes. What an honor for them. Well deserved 👏

quite a prestigious and special event
Oh, damn, I should have known Robert is Native American, no wonder, I love him so much! And I’m a fellow Danish/American, so feel for the Dane...but most for Robert. I love Robert.
Greatest band of all time.
Seen em at least 5 times live and to this day best live band ever. Wish I could meet these guys. I had kill em all cassette tape I carried in my pocket in 3rd grade back when nobody knew em . My band got huge . Lol love it.
James will always be the feeling, but lars will always be the brain in metallica.
Ian and Lars are all about groove and feel. They are not that technical, but their technique hits best where it needed to be in the song and the listeners react to it positively.
I can't help but thinking of Dio's Magica Story when Lars is giving his speech. So soothing and capturing. :)
What a band they are indeed, can't imagine a world without Metallica.
Congratulations to a great band! Metallica.
They seem so chuffed! And Lars & Robert look so dapper! 😁
Lars is real and to those that dont like him and bash his playing-theres plenty of us out there who thinks he's the opposite.
A great positive force to this world connecting people like James and MetallicA🤘
No mention of Cliff Burton? Yikes!
I know SAD
@@thomasackerly2410 Maybe they didn't were aware of that
good job guys ! one of a kind !
"SUPER POWER" IS WHAT THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY GIVE ME! WELL SAID SIR IAN PAICE!
What, no warning? No second chance?
DarkRenaissance2012 Dave's lament lol
"After I quit to start Megadeth..."
HE FOKIN LEFT THE BAND! ! ! !
lol
Dave drank himself out of the band. I saw a youtube vid of Dave & Lars talking about how they had moved from LA to San Francisco to get Cliff in the band, & because the LA audience just didn't get Metalica. Then they were off to New York to fulfill there first record deal. While in NY they fired Dave, & called Kirk to come to NY, using a plane ticket they bought him. Dave got no help getting home, & years latter was still on the edge of tears talking to Lars about it. Lars actually looked a little guilty. Latter Lars, James, Kirk, Dave, & I forget who was their bass at the time, were all playing together. Dave was smokin' hot, Kirk looked like a scared stiff animal, like he was going to be the one kicked to the curb. Poor Kirk, I felt sorry for him. Dave had nothing to lose.
Love this!
Robert looks like an Indian princess in a tux. 😍 Cute!
Classic....
WOW!
Thanks to ABBA!
That woman is the most Swedish person I've ever seen.
Rob is the coolest!
Lars: "The danish kid in me wanna shout out " FOER HELVIDHI MAAN!" LOL
Cuando Ulrich y Trujillo tengan la edad de Paice y Glover, a quien rayos le entregarían un premio de este tipo?
Nice!
Long live Deep Purple, inventors of Heavy Music whatever style
lars looks fucking awesome!
Thank YOU Metallica!! And all the former band members too (especially Cliff - R.I.P)!! You deserve this fucking thing!!
I was lucky to see them during their justice for all tour in Anchorage Alaska, they had speakers catch fire, stopped the concert, sat on stage and bullshited with us in the crowd, then when everything was ok, they played extra long! Great guys.😉👍
I was wondering if I was ever going to see Lars’s head uncovered again.
The king of sweden is one of the funniest men not trying to be funny.
Danish
....🔥🤘🔥METALLICA🔥🤘🔥
Was I the only one expecting Lars to say ‘hello clarice’ 🤣 #silenceofthelambs
Smiler Pereira I bet he was drinking chianti 🍷
knugen and lars in the same room. What a world
Really wish somebody could've played "Prince Charming" right after that speech. Woulda been a fitting end. Ah well, guess it's time to just go back to Re-Load.. first album of theirs I owned that I listened front to back that truly got me started.
METALLICA ✨👈
Wtf..where the hell are James and Kirk
James is surfing in Mykonos right now, dunno 'bout Kirk.
They both took an expedition to go look for the missing phone..they need those riffs that Kirk wrote for the next album..
Waselt oof
James is still hunting for some deers.
01:52 As far as I know, Deep Purple and Metallica only played twice on a festival together and this happened in 1987 at the Monsters of Rock Festival 87 in Nuremberg (I was there) and the next day in Pforzheim, Germany. Deep Purple were the headlining act that year in Germany, whereas in Castle Donington (UK) it was Bon Jovi. www.directupload.net/file/d/6022/ecj5x64m_jpg.htm
Just watching this video now in 2022. Where's the rest of the band?
Lars brought Heavy Metal to North America!!
