If you take out the flamethrower it'll actually slow the xenomorph down. Instead it'll walk towards you and if you lose your guard or get cornered or too close you die.
I think part of it is that it was the only level in the game (as far as I can remember) that the Alien is extremely active on and you don't have the flamethrower, though I don't know for sure
i dont think its that hard, it was har the first time. My first time playing it on nightmare i got an achievement for getting through it without dying a single time
@@qui-gontimtherandomraptor1072 yeah, you don’t get the Flamethrower until after Marlow’s flashback segment, but you do get the Molotov Blueprint before this. This is mission 6. You get the Flamethrower in mission 8 or 9 I’m certain, when you have to go back the Lorenz Systech Spire Tower the first time.
@@thomasflores7817that’s only for mission 5. This is mission 6. Good work for beating it without Dying on Nightmare. Did you manage to do that for the entire Game for One Shot? And without killing any Humans for Mercy Or Prudence? I don’t need to worry about the latter because I already did that, but I tried not to die while on Novice and I did all the way up until mission 10 and I barely used any of the Vents when possible except for the Looters in mission 7. That was how I was killed in this mission because I missed the Alien with a Molotov.
First time I got to this part I turn off the console as soon as the alien encounter started. The day after I’ve spent 20 mins under a table. It took me a week to clear this section cause saving point was far away. My mom watched me play sometimes and ask me why every time I was always inside a closet
A lot of people simply stopped playing once this part became too much lol. This mission throws you into the inescapable horror that you’re in for most of the rest of the game.
@@frankmigliore9240 yeah honestly I was about to do that. It was amazing and I continued. But I have to admit I stopped near the end of the game couple hours later when alien dissappears. It instantly became boring. This game is way too long.
@@travisbickle3835I think the change of pace was good. Having this alien on your ass 247 of the entire game would be too much to be honest. Especially since you dont even get the flamethrower until the middle of the game
@@JangoBlader I agree. As much as I love Xenomorphs, the fact that you Jettison the Alien into KG348 Gas Giant and then all you have to deal with is Androids and Humans for a while is a nice break. Yup, running actually wastes time while you wait for it to leave. Unless you're near the open elevator/tram and it's right behind you. Then run like hell.
Playing this level in particular, with headphones, plus with the camera connected on the ps4 is amazing. You make any noise irl it picks up in game. I can't wait to play on a harder difficulty with my headset with inbuilt microphone 😅 still one of the best games ever made
Saw someone refer to San Cristobal as this game's crucible. I swear this shit took me weeks. Once I finally got passed it, I started progressing through the story like it was nothing (this is on Hard, not Nightmare, because I don't quite hate myself _THAT_ much...)
1:36 At one point on hard I hid behind the bar in this little cantina, and the Alien came in. It even walked over to where it had direct line of site but then turned and walked out without noticing me. I clenched.
There are mods that untether it, and difficulties that leave you alone far more often. This stream is on Nightmare, of course the Alien is on your ass.
I'm pretty goddamn sure it can hear your stupid static-ridden motion tracker. Why do y'all insist on taking the damn thing out the split second the alien leaves your sight?
I think they do have eyes but they are under the head thingy, so in canon they can see you, if they are bad at seeing what's in a locker that's a skill issue in their part I guess
My most tense moments in Alien: Isolation are when the Xenomorph sniffs the locker/storage crate you’re hiding in, looking for you under tables and you’re trying to outrun him, even while he’s far away and still chasing you. God, it’s so terrifying and butt-clenching! 😨🫣😰
i love how everyone always takes out the gun when they think the Xeno is gonna see them as if that'll stop it
If I’m gonna die, imma make that xeno earn it!

That medical bay was a nightmare. Swear it was harder than a lot of the latter levels.
Exactly. It's like a one way freeway and I get trapped at the end of a sealed tunnel

this part of this game is as intense and terrifying as it gets. i prob died like 30 times in this section.

This is the most visceral, immersive and authentic gaming experience I've ever played. Best game ever.
AGREED!
Alien :my burger where is my burger? Where is my burger?🍔🍔🍔
you're better off holding a flare rather than your revolver. ain't gonna do anything
Medical Bay has to be up there with most stressful game of all time.
Memories of me watching PewDiePie play this are coming back in full force. I would love to give this game a go myself but I’m too scared to.
Same im way to scared
Just do it the game is scary but so worth it!

Tip: Never run in this game! Just fast walk-through areas or essentially stay on your toes.

Apparently, the xenomorph is not as scary as this music, which is breathtaking.

The Alien is so obviously tethered to the player, this is immension breaking. Although without it I guess the game come become too safe

I loved this game although I don’t think I’ve got the nerve to replay it 😂
Clip 1 was so uncomfortable even to watch.
I love that game, it's so intense
