Update: Lots of people are saying you can now do the raids by joining other people, which may be part of the newest software update. Previously you could not do this, but apparently now you can.
Those don't appear, all I get is 5 star 'event' raids taking half the list with 4-5 star pokemon on the bottom half... Gotta meet the condition for 6 star somehow with more hosting.
People have decompiled the game and it's still so hard to be sure what's going on. If I was game freak I might arbitrarily change the rules just to screw with leet hax0rs.
You said less then 10 I have done more than ten though
Answer: Do the post game gym re-battles, do the tournament, get a call, do a bunch of 4 and 5 star raids, get another call and you open up black glowing raids. Holy hell 2 minutes max for this.

I've done over 20 5 star dens and still haven't gotten the call. This is so frustrating I hope I don't miss the Charizard event because of this.
same, I'm on my 19th fight right now, hosted them all, both solo and hosting for others, still no call
Do the academy and you don’t even have to go online I did 10 and u locked charizard

I unlocked 6 star raids after 5 5-star raids. Idk if that’s the official number you need or if It differs from other peoples game or if you need more/less. Honestly try doing 5 raids and if doesn’t work than it might need more.

You can join 6 star and 7 star. Without finishing story by joining friends group through link code
It definitely does count if you do other peoples raids

I got the call about raids and have been hosting them all day, done about 16 raids total, all 5* and have not yet gotten the call about 6* raids. As far as I can tell I dont even know if Im making progress towards this. Is there a way to double check that I even got the call from Jaqc to see if Im making any headway?

Only if you are the host. If you joined someone it wont count
i cant unlock it, done over 20, 5 star raids for several hours now. It just refuses to unlock. going insane
I defeated all of the 4 and 5 star raids on my map and nothing happened what am I supposed to do now
Apparently since the update people are saying joining other people's raids does count, so you can go online and do that. Or just wait until the next day for the raids to respawn (you MIGHT be able to try advancing your Switch Clock by 1 full day and seeing if that resets the raids, since it does work for outbreaks).

4 star counts, and it took me under 10 raids with a mix of 5 and 4.

How many 4 to 5 star raids do I need to do?
I got mine in five "4 star" and four "5 star" raids. So 9 total.
You can be invited to 6*/7* raids so long as a host invites you to one. You can be invited early on in the game. It is not required to unlock 6 star raids to join the new 7* Charizard event so if you have friends already prepped and ready for you to join with them, they should be explaining what you need to have and do to help them take down the Charizards for you.

Yep it’s only one 6 star raid a day, you can day skip for more

There’s no way to tell besides counting it as you go
You dont have to do the first 6 Star raid to unlock the charizard. I completet the 10 5 Star raids and got a charizard raid

Maybe it changed but you can join other people's and have it count. I just got the call right after joining some japanese dudes.
It must have changed with the update, because prior to it definitely wasn't counting (other people were saying the same thing).

You must not no about watch time, 2 minutes of a video is not worth it. You could’ve asked your friends instead of coming here to disrespect this dude for trying to help out people.
If I made it a 2 minute video and cut the bulk of the information that other people may find useful (even if you don't), then I would have people like you calling me lazy and putting in half the effort and rushing content just for views and so on and so forth. No matter what, SOMEONE would complain. It's an 8 minute video, not 20 minutes.
I did my best to give as much info as possible, as it's better to have more than too little. Finding that balance can be extremely difficult, cut me some slack man.

Some say they do count 5-10 raids others say no it’s idk rn lol
Some people are saying they do but seemingly only after the latest update, so it’s possible it’s changed, but it definitely didn’t count prior to (I’m not the only one who stated this info either).
Would level 100 legendary Pokémon be strong enough
Depending on the ev’s, but for 5 star raids you will win most of them with a weakness to your legendary somewhat easily

Under 10 for me. Was a mix of 4 and 5 star, could be less if you do all 5 star, could be more if you do all 4 star. Doesn't take many at all.
