For the warlock solar build, i do feel going for strength rather than discipline makes the build more fluid There are times where you can mess up the cycle, so more strength does two things: - You'll get your melee back faster to try getting into the cycle again - Airborne kills recharges your melee even faster
I think I might try this. Ive ran the 1st solar build for a couple days now. This is the one thing i run into since I just got back to the game. I feel like a sitting duck when I screw up the rotation lol
This video reminded me to try out Phoenix Protocol, since I've grown really fond of running heal/support builds in GMs and Master Dungeons lately. Shout out to Cenotaph Mask+Any Trace Rifle and my current favorite, Lumina + Boots of the Assembler.

Can't wait fo try these Arc is a must King of Jolting looks insane I'd run that the most and probably try both Solar Builds later. Stasis, Void I'd give a go by Master of Minions for Strand looks so OP really interested in that one.
Stasis warlock got me through my first gm, the corrupted, turrents made the whole thing way easier, especially the elevator as you can still freeze the big guys even though they're immune
Got to the point in level where I started to think about proper builds the day this video came out, embrace the sun goes mad hard but I can’t lie… I see this build frequently enough to bring me back to find a more niche route lmao
Arc build: The Stag is the superior arc exotic for Warlocks and I will die on this hill. Arc lacks healing and survivability, right until you stand in your -25-35% damage reducing healing rift. Damage you take refills your class ability, so you can live in that rift. It's otherwise identical to the arc trace focused builds, with massive ability regen anyway from endless arc traces. It's just tanky as all hell and requires absolutely no proccing or prepping or anything. Sure, there are exotics that can increase your regen rate from high to ludicrous... but that's really not nearly as important as always having a massively damage reducing rift.
In my experience, building into ionic traces with fallen sun star will get your rift back super quickly, making it a good source of survivability. I also play very mobile on arc making enemies harder to hit me
Agreed, Fallen Sunstar is superior, way more Ionic Traces and if you build into special weapon blinding you don't have to worry about enemy damage much in your rift.@@yadeel8281
Thanks for the tip, I'll try it. RNJesus smiled upon me and I got a Fallen Sunstar at like the very first chance for an exotic to drop in the story mission the first day of Lightfall. 😂 So I've been using that or Vesper whenever I want to run arc.
Other good builds; Strand, Karnstein, Vexcalibur. With the right setup you have void overshield, woven mail, every melee kill incl glaive is cure 3x and resto 1x - and if you finisher you get 2x resto, that you can keep going with melee kills... literal tank with all the benefits of Strand. Also, for void, the granddaddy of builds - Contraverse. Basically chain gigantic weakening vortex nades with devour healing you 100% on every kill. Even easier than (the outstanding) Briarbinds. Starfire Protocol is still a strong GM build, despite the nerf. Dawn Chorus and the right incandescent guns and the 300% scorch damage burns everything especially in hard content. There's a bunch of very strong builds that arguably challenge these seven.
Sure, there are other builds out there that are strong. These are my personal favorite, if you have other ones you like better then no one is stopping you from using them 👍
Fallen sunstar is always better than crown of tempest. Its significantly better at generating ability energy and because there's more abilities to throw out, you generate more super energy via damage output, so it makes up the difference and then some.
I always come to realize that Sunstar IS better than Tempest, but it's also way more utilize & better to run in teams, whereas Tempest is better for solo play
I'm a bit of a newb, but I also feel Monte Carlo is under utilized in a lot of builds. It's very easy to stack armor mods that produce grenade energy from melee or orbs caused by melee. If you're not stuck to a single subclass, Monte Carlo and Claws of Ahamkara create a good volley of melee attacks. If used properly, you can really charge up your abilities in pve. Having a second melee charge is good in pvp, as well.
This is your youtube channel and can control it however youd like. That being said I will give feedback and i think i voice for a good amount of people. The builds you showcase should be showcased on difficult content.
For this set, it was done in Coil which already ramps up from -5 all the way to -20 essentially from hero level to Master level (the only thing harder is GM). I like to show current content so that people can see how it preforms in what is relevant right now. That being said, I appreciate the feedback and I did see something similar on a recent video so I've made all of my recent videos in Legend Onslaught since it's the current hardest relevant activity 👍
I like to imagine the actual guardians sit and watch videos like these made by actual guardians recommending some ancient alien artefact that is somehow dropping from dregs in the edz combined with a unique gun a couple hundred thousand guardians use
Osmiomancy is literally an exotic that boosts iceflare bolts. Ergo, the way to use the Osmiomancy is to focus on iceflare bolts - not turrets. Throw the grenade so it hits a yellow bar (literally bounces off them) and get it refunded instantly. You're freezing everything in a targeted fashion instead of relying on slow turrets. Sure, you can bring turrets too but you're better off with Glacial Harvest so you can get so so many Stasis shards.
Turrets keep an area locked down, osmio gives you 2 grenades, ergo 2 turrets. Sure you can just throw a grenade instead but you can also set up a turrets that continues to freeze for 20+ seconds instead of just once. Not personally a huge fan of shards for this since it just gives melee energy
@@luckymec The difference is that Osmio refunds grenade energy on grenade hit, turrets don't give energy in the same way. Hitting a group can fully refund the energy and more. Best way I've found to play is to start with a turret, then toss grenades until I'm nearly at 2 charges, toss out another turret, and repeat. It's actually better in GMs than low content. This season, run it with polaris lance, whisper of rending, and the artifact mods - it completely shreds. For low content, Verglas curve outputs a crazy amount of AoE damage as kills from the crystals it creates give you stasis arrows which you can shoot right again right away, if you want to.
Been loving Briar Binds this season. I made a build with them that uses the Navigator, Calus Mini Tool, and Quillim's Terminus (the LMG from Kingsfall). This build gives you access to Weaken, Devour, Woven Mail, Unravel, Sever, Radiant, and Freezing (headstone from the LMG). I use the top 2 perks in each of the last 2 columns of the artifact. It's so much fun and makes me feel like im playing 4 subclasses at the same time.
Truth be told these builds are all good i just will keep my own thang since i prefer what i made. Its why i like this game cause if you read over the different pieces and experiment you can make a great build that suits you and still make you feel strong
@luckymec Def gave me some ideas but I am a warlock main so my builds are pretty good as is havnt looked yet but if you have more vids for the hunter and titan I'll have to check em out
whisper of shards does NOT work off frozen enemies so it's kinda irrelevant for the stasis build you'd be better off with the other grenade energy fragment
For this season its relevant, with the artifact you spawn a crystal by defeating a frozen enemy. Plus with any weapon that has headstone immediately makes it relevant
It may be late and you already found out, but if not, you get Indebted Kindness as a random drop from the Warlord’s Ruin dungeon, which requires the Lightfall Dungeon Key for 2000 silver. The main thing is it also requires the Voltshot perk to apply Jolt.
If you haven’t found out already, it’s the Apex Predator rocket launcher from the Last Wish raid, most likely with the perks Reconstruction as well as Bait and Switch to have 2 rockets in a magazine and increased damage.
Just came back to destiny and I was going to try my titan again then realized..... it doesn't have any new subclass unlocked. So I'm here to learn what's good with my forever main 🤣🤣
Great video! Just gotta mention that, although buried bloodline is void, its recommended to not use on void since it would make the exotic perk essentially useless since devour is basically always up on warlock regardless of what you're using, like getting orbs/breaches or ability kills. It's great on strand titan though! Faster grenades because of devour = more bonking, and it pairs nicely with banner of war tor a pretty tough titan! I'd recommend running a swordbreaker with demo if you plan on using grapple a lot, or pugilist for the extra melee energy, and obviously 1-2p (swordbreaker specifically because of the cursed thrall trait, makes devour and banner very easy to keep maxed out if you have a lot of ads around)
For sure, it might be more useful on other classes, though it is strong by itself, when you get a grenade kill you proc volatile rounds. Plus it helps set up if you ever run out of ability energy. I haven't tried it too much on other classes yet but I have a feeling it will be even stronger
1st solar build: absolutely does not need discipline. You literally get 5 nades with a sunbracer kill. Res, Rec and Str. Arguably even in the order Rec, Res and Str.
This is the biggest mistake people make, str is useless for this. Heat rises give 20-50% of your melee. Why shorten the cool down when you get get it back every 5 seconds? I can agreed discipline might not be the most ideal, maybe intellect over it but str is your least concern
Sunbracers, in general, are absolutely useless in endgame pve. You will not be floating around in the air throwing nades in a gm where everything can one shot you. Nor will you be able to consistently get powered melee kills with the health pool even red bars have.
@@charcovex4411 this is why I don't like them. They should be able to proc with a finisher or something. Add a cool down specifically for finisher procs so it can't be spammed like crazy.
It's extremely easy to use though and you get such long flight range. Literally just a fast double-tap to launch and off you go. Strafe jump, in my opinion, being by far the best option, you get absolutely pin point precision, you can jump around corners, you can literally fly around objects. Literally the only big drawback of Warlock jump is that you can never regain altitude after the initial jump. That does cause deaths if you slip off a ledge, etc.
For anyone looking to bring Briarbinds into onslaught, I gotta say, trying to pick up the soul is genuinely miserable there.
