When you get a CB, take some time to learn about setting it up properly also. There's a lot more to it than picking up the radio and plugging it in. Grounding, antenna tuning, etc.. You'll use it a lot more when you know it works right.
I buy all my CBs from clays radio out of San Antonio Texas it's probably one of the best radio shops in the USA.... When you buy a new one you definitely have to get it tuned up, you definitely need good antennas and good coaxial cable, if you're lacking one of these items then it won't work good at all, I recommend changing out the CB coaxial every 5 years... Most people want to just be able to plug it in and leave it. Like everything else these days. Part of the problem is most these guys who are company drivers are in newer trucks that have horrible grounding and just as horrible coax. The Lord’s got that man working some serious overtime..!
I’m about to buy a truck in February. I’ve been trucking for 7 years. Started driving teams at Swift dedicated TJ Max, car hauling with Hansen & Akins, then I went into the LA Ports & Rails with JB Hunt.
Buy a cash truck don’t get new. Don’t let that so called “warranty” cloud your judgement. Pre emission trucks are the way.
@@timmay2k us here in CA only can wish for Pre Emissions these days
How was your experience with swift?
You got this!
@@hb9554 man I see them old cranberry haulers with old ass trucks in Cali all the time. Just don’t have blowbuy and you’ll be fine
