Part of what makes this Reforged project the best take on revamping the BCP graphics is that it actually adjusts the models to include new details like those new houses. Love your work as always!
Whenever I look at these reforged tracks, it just makes me sad that the Booster Course Pass doesn't already look like this by default. Your reworked tracks just look so nice, and fit the base game's style way better than any of the DLC ones do here. Either way, great job on making Maple Treeway look like a Mario Kart 8 track. And kudos on the cool extra details like the broken net.
I love how you retextured the half pipe indicators to actually look like a modernized LED version of how they look like on the Wii. The fallen down wavy bridge is a great way to tie it back to the original. My problems with this is that in the opening and canon shots, the trees still look wonky. Despite that, it's still a great revamp.

dude, you’re doing phenomenal work. This goes to show how lazy Nintendo was with porting over the tour tracks. Your remakes so far have been a joy to view and it shows you put a lot of passion and effort into them. I can’t wait to see what you do next ^^
I was so worried the project was abandoned, so glad it isn't! This project is incredible, and the tracks you've made so far genuinely feel like nintendo made them before Tour even existed

Already seeing the improvements that DK Summit, Koopa Cape and now Maple Treeway have had, how will the improvement be with Coconut Mall? Knowing that someone tweaked the track, improving it much more and giving it again the characteristic in that track and that on top of that its tweaks brings back the original color palette of its original Wii version. I hope the next track is Coconut Mall to improve
I don't know what it is but in the wiggler section the leaves feel flat. I think the rest of the track looks beautiful and even feel bad pointing it out because you spent so long on it. I don't know if there is anything you can do but maybe a treehouse floor with leaves on it? I know it is not the most accurate to the og track and maybe not the best suggestion but I didn't want to be like this sucks and not say anything to contribute. Anyway love the work and keep it up. Do Rock Rock Mountain Next.
He did, AAAND one of the reasons why is because the background in the official BCP DLC version of the track is way too small so the background in the reforged version is way much more bigger, making it be a perfect size
incredible job one thing though, i think the orange of a lot of the leaves is TOO orange especially the one where the wigglers are, kinda looks like minecraft lava rn one of my friends had other criticisms though (most of which i dont agree with but may be useful) - skybox looks worse than the old one (too yellow) - leaf geometry is bad (looks like paper) - all the wood textures are worse than before - colors in general don't blend also please upload this in more than 720p next time
Maxmos used the leaf texture that is closer to the one used in Wii. He should have used the texture from 8/8DX (The leaf pile in the Animal Crossing track is the exact same as the leaf pile in the official version of Maple Treeway)
The leaves being different colors makes it look more natural and realistic in that regard, as autumn leaves can range from being brown, orange, red or yellow. And in the case of the flat textures, they were also used for greenery in the base game to save memory
@@RiqMoney817 Well yeah, to save polygons, so that there won't be too many polygons there to be causing frame rate drops, and tbh, the leaves were probably custom made anyways, like, probably closer to how the Wii textures look than to how 8/8DX's textures look
