Fun fact. The devs (Asobo studio) later made the “A Plague Tale” duology. There is something really funny to me about a licensed kids game dev team suddenly working on an expansive, double A, Last of Us-like stealth game which is most definitely not intended for kids.
@@orangeuglad12that's kind of different, it had already released on third party consoles before then (3DS, PS3, Wii U) and before being bought by MS Disney had contracts with Microsoft to publish some titles exclusively for their home consoles, and that carried over to some remakes / remasters as well. Wasn't on Asobo in this case.
0:25 was fun but not how we end up there all alone with no parent. So I’m saying give me nightmares. But still got it and like to go back once in a whife
This game had a potential that was not fully realised, but it at least showed the good enough premise of taking part in Pixar worlds, even though all of them were just kids' imaginations in the game. The playable character creator was a bit limited, even though it had couple of varied options, (except of the toy avatar). And the "boss fights" are the disappointed as they just play identically the same, as you mentioned, a character drops something for the playable character to throw. And another disappointment is that most of the Pixar worlds play the same, (too bad there is no focus on combat in the Incredibles world). Yet I am sure that if the Pixar, more like Disney cared really much for this game a little more, each Pixar world could have its own different gameplay, with a lot more content that feels fresh. But I am sure many people would doubt that. Any ideas to make this game better (such as a sequel to this game)?
man , i respect you but your words felt like a stab in the heart you were too harsh with this game i played the hell of this game on both versions and got '' all the trophees '' and to this day i still consider it as a blast it the perfect game for me to awake the 10 years old me being in the park really felt like being in a park IRL ps : thr soundtrack and the graphics are gorgeous
They could’ve thought of something so much better for Ratatouille, Maybe a food related thing, Maybe help fix the restaurant, Nope, Just some lame thing about helping a rat get out of a jar.
Klej is still digging to be play every Cars related game imaginable. One more Cars related game which you could play (but might be too much of a stretch) is Race O Rama on the PS2. The PS2 port is rather scaled back compared to the other versions, cutting out some of the additions the other versions had and overall being closer to the other PS2 era Cars games.
For the Cars section, I would've combined the ideas for Holley and Finn's levels for the second and then the third would be an actual race with Lightning McQueen. The voice clips were uploaded recently and according to Lightning's it sounds like they did plan to actually give him a level and it's a shame they didn't. The build-up on Mater's level was just for nothing...
The game looks REALLY nice compared to any Disney game that isn't Kingdom Hearts quite a shame it's so short and shallow I remember being really excited when I heard it's coming to PC
Good review as ever, but the game itself seems like wasted potential. The models they made for the environments look lovely, it would have probably felt pretty amazing to explore the worlds from these movies, but the copy and pasted soulless gameplay looks like it kills most of the fun

And rather bizarrely, the last two versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator.
They really do have a diverse portfolio.
I wish Francesco would've exploded in this game for real, This game would be solid 5 trillion out of 10 if that was a thing.
16:44 and Toy Story 3 PS2/PSP version
13:19 did I hear ROOFTOP RUN?! I think you should review a game called Sonic Unleashed for the Xbox 360 it's super fun imo
I'm suprised the 2017 version didn't get released for the PS4 and the Switch.
Yeah, me too, Unfortunately the same thing happened to Disneyland Adventures
The games were published by Microsoft and I guess they wanted to keep these games on Microsoft platforms.
@@bigbangbot-SuperSqankyea but Microsoft released Minecraft on the PlayStation and the switch so yea

it was a xbox exclusive
The creators of the Disney game robbed the original “Rooftop Run” name from Sonic Unleashed 💀

I didn't mean to cause any pain I'm sorry 😭😭
I agree with that though, music and graphics are both awesome
A few games on Kinect would get a re-release without Kinect motion controls, like Kinect Joyride.

Instead of ratatouille we should've had wall-e or monsters inc
