Why are they making such a big deal of him showing the reporters phone number when they know it was an office public number not her personal phone? They conveniently cut out the part he says over 75% of cartel weapons come from the usa, what is the usa doing to help in that regard? They are quick to point fingers but do nothing to help.

They have ratings to worry about. The reality is that AMLO is of very little relevance to the majority of people outside of Mexico.
He's pragmatic enough to not really alter Mexico's business and political ties to other countries, so he's not too consequential internationally.
The TV networks have ratings to be worried about. So they won't dedicate a whole hour to a subject that may not be as interesting to the majority of Americans. 60 generally covers multiple subjects in 1 hour, and there are other media dedicated solely to political issues, that might be interested in the long form discussion with him.
They do this to everyone.
The reality is AMLO is pretty much irrelevant to most people outside of Mexico. He is pragmatic enough to not really alter Mexico's business and political relationships with other countries, so he's not too consequential internationally.

For noting that while they reported a 20% decline in crime, it was it’s own historically corrupt government who claimed the drop despite also admitting they only go after a dismal 5% of criminal activity? For highlighting that Amlo reduced funding to investigate and prosecute crimes?! For his transparency and 🚩 leakage that he can travel anywhere in Mexico in his unprotected VW humbled out car without any concerns from the cartel?! That if the USA fails to accept all of Amlo’s jacked up terms (which includes immediately GIVING all illegal Mexican immigrants automatic US citizenship, then we will continue to experience illegal immigration - like, how does rewarding that illegal behavior reinforce it to stop 🚩🚩🚩). He included demands for Venezuela and Cuba as well, HIGHLY CONCERNING!
His passive-aggressive approach of posting a journalist’s phone number (innocently, right?), and sending photos of tunnels under Tijuana into San Diego…which he seems to think is hilarious. Hell no! He’s trouble! Viewers deserved to know! The US government isn’t hacking their system and influencing the results. Which we are tremendously affected by, btw!

AMLO is correct in stating that the USA should focus more on cooperating in the implementation of programs that address the root causes of immigration rather than just building walls to solve the problem. It makes more sense to spend money on helping neighbors than on war. AMLO's proposal is an excellent solution to the problem.
It doesn't benefit them as much as arming Ukraine. The usa is all about money and their heavily invested in armaments.
The root problem is those countries are poor and violent and people don’t want to be broke or killed. How do you suggest we fix that? I’ll give you a hint that sending money will just be taken by those in power there. The problem is that there has been a coordinated effort to facilitate immigration and asylum claims that won’t be heard before a judge for 15 years. Effectively legalizing all immigration if you can wind up at the border. They have these people up in hotels with phones food and a credit card on your dime. And they can’t legally work.
For reference 10 million immigrants is the entire population of the 8th most populous state in the country. We have imported a large state. For reference that’s the entire country of Honduras, or Cuba, or Sweden, or Portugal.
@kylejohnson7053 Mexico is doing programs in Central America that give money if you work your land, like planting and maintaining fruit trees. Obviously, those people have to stay in their country. The usa could do it in a larger scale because Mexico's gdp is nowhere close to the usa.

Gavin Newsom is telling us the CA High Speed Rail will cost 128 Billion dollars, and when the voters were asked to vote on it back in 2008, Proposition 1A stated it would cost 33 Billion. The project is nowhere near completion, not even half way. Notice that 60 Minutes criticizes AMLO for a 28 Billion dollar rail project, for their country. Do you ever hear them criticizing Gavin Newsom or the Democrats? Also interesting that 60 minutes is arguing in favor of censorship.
