Hello Delorean Tech. NEWIRON Engineering(Me and Josh) developed the adapter plate for the Ferrari F136 to G96 Porsche transmission used on this build. We also developed the aluminum custom "starter" flywheel for this car. Forty7 Garage did a great job, we will soon hear it! If any of you is interested on adapter plates or custom engine parts, please reach out!
Wouldn't be a good intake (size restrictions and they would need pipes to grab cold air from outside of the bay anyway), they already have a lot of space limitations, I don't even know how they will get the exhaust there to extract a good sound, it usually requires more space to sound great.
The owner didn't want to change the Ferrari intake manifold. They cutted the bulkhead on purpose to display the clear intake pipes inside the cockpit to resemble the "flux capacitor" of the time machine.

But, I hope not, or we'll have to do a go fund me defense for these Brazilian-Italian Delorean Dudes ! I was kind of hoping Ferrari would've gone after that Yutz stunt Influencer Cody Detwiler aka WhistlinDiesel who burned his Ferrari F8 to the ground in a corn field fire in Waco TX & fire dept was called out in a major ordeal. It was all over the internet last year & they video'd the entity incident. Im sure Ferrari sought legal action even against whoever sold him that car as Ferrari qualfies worthiness of all newer Ferrari sales! I wonder if these guys would take the chance & put a small DMC logo & prancing horse sticker under it on the upper front fender! But that could be a double-wammy intervention of Ferrari & DMC Houston in Federal Court! 😂 I'd do it, & register the car in Dubai under the name of a fictitious Egyptian Saudi Prince named Prince Omar Sharif...!🤔😁😁😁😁

First they blacklist you from buying a new cars from their dealerships, then depending how deep your pockets are(celebrity status), they drag you into court. The question should be, why would you ruin a good Ferrari engine by wrapping it in a DeLorean? I mean there are a hell of a lot better classic vehicles worth dropping a Ferrari motor in but a mofo'ing DeLorean, STOP IT!!! Sounds to me, like someone has more money than brains 🧠 Yeah, the engine & the rims are nicer than the car you put them on/in.

Ferrar'Lorean, or a Delor'Rrari or DeLarri😋 I always wondered if anyone ever put a 308/328 or a 246 motor in a Delorean, which would've been my choice for the exotic sound I always think the Delorean deserved. Curious; does the Delorean community know about SuoerPro bushings developed out of Australia? All the C4 Vette guys are using them now instead of regular poly bushings & are far superior in their elastomer composition & not a harsh ride & NVH compared to regular poly bushings. Not sure if they have the correct sizes, but is worth looking into, to further improve the Delorean suspension dynamics & component upgrades.🏁 I bet they hand lay a custom carbon fiber intake, but Stainless would be even more retro. Maybe 2 Hervey-Style air boxes!

Sorry you are too late. I remember back in the early 80’s that DMC was going to team up with Lamborghini. For redesigning and the use of the V-12 Lamborghini engine! They made designs and testing. A lot of Car people don’t know about that fact! Top that!

I really don't want to be negative but this isn't a swap. its the block bolted in to the car. and really not SEMA ready. i would love to see a video explaining why some of the choices were made like... there looks to be plenty of room for exhaust headers but where is your gear box going to go? and how are you going to get driveshafts to the rear wheels? could you not have flipped the intake around or failing that create a custom one so that you didn't have to cut a hole in the firewall?
As we get more info we will release an updated video! So far since this video was made they already completed the custom Flux Capacitor inspired air filter/cleaner box in the rear shelf and added more stuff to the car like a wide stripe kit and our clear EuroStyle front indicators. More to come!

They should just run the tubing straight up to the roof and put a functioning roof scoop in it. Having intakes do a 180 ain't gonna help feed it with air.
Absolutely! But that Ferrari engine is so highly efficient in design by Computational Fluid Dynamics & major technology, the loss would be less than its total Awesomeness looking!!!! But my thoughts on the very restrictive design of the PRV's roller-coaster-ride air-flow loss thru the entirety of the Bosch K-jet plumbing that has more twists & turns than a human GI tract or Presidential Race for the White House! 😂. I'd love to buy a SuperFlow flow bench & do full testing to measure how much pumping loss there is on the entire Delorean intake system from tip of the intake snorkel too the head & then do some creative moddingon the intake alone.... I have some ideas that have never yet been done before too minimumly & drastically improving the entire PRV intake system as well as putting those heads into the hands of top engine builders & porters who use CFD modeling or those few who are the old time famous race porting genius's before their time is up on this Earth. I am thinking to commission a well known porter to set up a preliminary study, if I can get him interested in doing it for the PRV community & maybe see if DeloreanTech would host the video, but also need to make a donation to the MJF Foundation. I have such a bug up my backside seeing things that others don't seem to discuss about the PRV. As an example I'd remove that puny stock K&N & put the biggest conical filter at the beginning of the intake or inside the rear fender & build a fresh air box with the side scoop to lfeed it, & by removing the filter from the air box, the air would have time to ramp-up velocity at WOT going thru the intake before slamming into the bottom of the air meter floor slowing down, then thru the restrictive throttle body plates with air obstructing springs on those throttle blades which I am puzzled of their function (John Lane throttle body spring mod from 2008) then the slower air piles up into the 180 degree elbo, further t slowing down & loss of laminar flow thru the 180 bend, ect, ect, ect. but you probably understand what I'm blabbing about. That 180 elbow is really the worst part of the KJet, but it could be improved internally with some ideas & methotical flow mods & addition of extruder honing & strategically placed air vanes if someone could verify thru CFD modeling would be great.....has anyone ever run their Delorean KJet w/o the air box & no filter & reset the a/f mixture procedure to see if there is any performance gain or install a huge velocity stack onto the air meter?🤔 But to feed that beastly Ferrari motor, a 180 intake is the only way. Personally, I'd just put 2 massive Conical Filters in a fancy smanzy air box & leave it inside the passenger compartment to here the Symphony!!!!😁 The exhaust is going to be very challenging & I would expect to take forever to build & redesign the frame, ect. & even if it could be done. However they do it, & bet thats where the major loss in hp would be & very significant w/o the help of Ferrari engineers or an F1 exhaust fabricator.
They left everything ready on the chassis with the reinforcements that were needed. On Anderson's channel, they share what was done to accommodate the engine.
i mean how much is some red wrinkle coat? even to strip and repowder coat isnt that expensive at this level in the game but if turn around was an issue why not tape off the good area and shoot some *good* 2k rattlecan red wrinkle on just that area... it feather the edge with some course steel wool and basically send it. i woulda done something lol do people send half done projects a lot?
This car was found in a state that was practically ready to be thrown away, the engine and gearbox were dismantled and lost, the bodywork had serious dents in the stainless steel, and the chassis had serious corrosion problems. The buyer promised to bring it back to life with the mods and components to be a showcase for his Fueltech products.
@@laurensnieuwland4657 Because the original V6 is not and has never been a good basis for a performance engine. Originally the owner had a Masseratti V8 engine, he looked for a crossplane crankshaft to get the Ferrari sound, and in the end he found this engine for $8,000.
@techtreko The original V6 is a perfectly good performance engine. The twin-turbo version was said to have outperformed the highest end Porsche 911 of it's day. The 3 litre versions could even produce up to 450 hp in their racing spec.
Why don't a lot of American's wear seat belts? Look at the Ferrari windscreen, that is from the passengers heads, they may well have life changing head injuries now. Wear your seat belts kids!

I did not know! A V12 would require using the rear shelf area so maybe a true mid engine design !

Why do people there dislike amber indicator lights a lot so much It makes more sense than using a brake light to indicate
It’s not that we dislike the ambers we just like the clear look more. Plus you can still output amber colored light with the appropriate LED

i mean how much is some red wrinkle coat? even to strip and repowder coat isnt that expensive at this level in the game but if turn around was an issue why not tape off the good area and shoot some *good* 2k rattlecan red wrinkle on just that area... it feather the edge with some course steel wool and basically send it.

Awesome! Though I hate to see people cutting into these things for mods.
This car was found in a state that was practically ready to be thrown away, the engine and gearbox were dismantled and lost, the bodywork had serious dents in the stainless steel, and the chassis had serious corrosion problems. The buyer promised to bring it back to life with the mods and components to be a showcase for his Fueltech products.
@techtreko I get it, but still. They could've sourced an original engine and turbocharged/supercharged it.
@@laurensnieuwland4657 Because the original V6 is not and has never been a good basis for a performance engine. Originally the owner had a Masseratti V8 engine, he looked for a crossplane crankshaft to get the Ferrari sound, and in the end he found this engine for $8,000.
@techtreko The original V6 is a perfectly good performance engine. The twin-turbo version was said to have outperformed the highest end Porsche 911 of it's day. The 3 litre versions could even produce up to 450 hp in their racing spec.
Should have done a Lamborghini motor mainly because unlike Ferrari, they would have encouraged you and probably helped!
It was an opportunity with the Ferrari. Maybe for their next one?
Should have put corvette engine or Toyota V6 twin turbo for reliability.

The airbags sure did not deploy on that rari... a rebuild of that car would be better in my opinion
This modern all-aluminum V8 shouldn't be much heavier than the original old V6.
